Are there lots of recipes? YES. Are they easy and simple and make you feel like you can actually cook? YES.
HOWEVER, my big issue with this cookbook is that many of the recipes are just normal, everyday recipes. While there are many Mediterranean dishes in here...there are also many that are NOT.
There's a recipe for green beans with olive oil, pepper and salt. There's a recipe for a simple omelet. There's a recipe for simple oatmeal.
The simpler recipes were disappointing because I was hoping for niche recipes. If you're a cooking newbie or just looking for dinner ideas, you may like this. Foodies...this will disappoint you.
Mediterranean Made Easy... provided by TOH readers, recipes include comfort dishes made healthier, and a few from various cultures. The book is more adventurous in spices than I'd expect from this brand. Quality images for most recipes.
Cookbook ranges from quick appetizers to hot and cold fish and seafood focused dishes to chicken and pasta meals as well as vegetarian entrees and an impressive dessert selection. Similar ingredients used throughout: artichokes, oils, olives, and beets.
We love Mediterranean food in our household and I'm always looking for more recipes to incorporate into our meal rotations. The recipes in this book run the gamut! Each recipe is easy to understand. The photos were lovely, I would love more. This is everything that we love about Mediterranean food- simply, fresh, delicious. My new go-to!
I was hoping for more there is a lot of repeated themes here mainly tomato, feta and olives a lot of the recipes are almost identical with a change in protein I didn't catch the fact that this is a diet heart healthy cookbook when I bought it so all the recipes call for fat free versions of dairy products and kinda skimp on seasonings seem like things might be a little bland I know the Mediterranean diet is one of the healthiest out there already so wasn't expecting the diet stuff that was on me for not paying attention though you can use your favorite dairy items but ehh a little disappointed in this
Being able to look up specific recipes on the internet to see what other people thought was nice. Bonus half point for not calling "Garlic Garbanzo Bean Spread" hummus.
