When storms arise, will faith still stand?

Forced to learn independence from an early age, Alecia Farrelly has carved out a quiet life in Harvey's Cove. As a single mum to a special needs child, she juggles parenthood with renovating her dream home. She knows hard work is the only way through heartbreak, and the only man she needs in her life is the one she's raising her son to be.

The ocean has always been Pastor Connor Dayton's haven. Or it had been, until it took away his only son and destroyed his marriage in the aftermath. Left broken and disillusioned, Connor withdraws from all he's known and finds refuge in a quiet, sleepy seaside town where he yearns to escape his grief and the relentless doubts swarming his mind. He didn't count on having his serenity interrupted by a tropical storm, nor did he expect to have his belief system tossed about when he meets the determined woman who owns the house next door.

Amid the storm's devastation, can Connor find his way back to his first true love? Can Alecia let go of her pride and learn to trust again?

Beyond the Deep, Book 2 in The Potter's House Books Series Two, is an uplifting and inspiring story of hope, redemption and second chances. Grab your copy and be encouraged today.

Kristen M. Fraser is a Christian fiction author, residing in beautiful Queensland, Australia with her husband and four children. She drinks way too much coffee, has a far too messy house, and probably doesn't get enough sleep. When she's not being the family Uber driver, or making a gazillion school lunches, Kristen loves running, climbing mountains, spending time at the beach, and given a moment of solitude (ha!), curling up with a good book.

Although her books are works of fiction, Kristen believes everyone has a story to tell. As such, she takes inspiration for her writing from people's everyday lives - their struggles and successes. It is her prayer that you will be encouraged and inspired by her words.

Beyond the Deep

Conner had just moved into his house when he encountered a little boy. His name is Zeke and his mom is single is named Alecia. Conner has a dog name Zeus. I loved that the boys name and the dogs both started with a Z.

Conner had just lost his young son to a accident. Will he be able to get past the hurt and change the way he feels toward God now?

I love Zeke, he is such a cute little boy but a typical one also. You just never know what he wound say.

This is a short story but a really good one. Actually I love reading short stories.

I received an advanced copy of the book from the author. This book review is my own opinion.

Ms. Fraser has once again given us a beautiful story of God's amazing grace. Connor has been hit with just about everything a man could possibly suffer. When he decides to move to an oceanview cabin in Harvey's Cove he thinks he will finally have time to be alone with his thoughts. Alecia is a single mom to a precious special needs son, Zeke. Zeke keeps her on her toes all day long with his never ending energy and constant chatter. She wishes somedays for just a little peace to be able to relax and read a book. As we get to know these 3 main characters they work their way into our heart especially Zeke. Zeke may be a busy boy but he has a heart and brain too big for his little body. I loved the location of the story with its beautiful beach, sandy shores and the friendly people. The relationship between Connor, Alicia and Zeke flows at a pleasant pace as they all become friends. You will enjoy how God is beautifully woven through the pages in the natural way that christians live their lives. Trying to show people that God loves them without shoving it down their throat. A truly enjoyable book.
I received a free download of this book from the publisher. I have written this review because I wanted to share my own honest opinion.

Powerful story demonstrating the two approaches to dealing with the pain that comes from brokenness. Some draw close to God and let Him give them strength. Others torn away from God and close off their hearts holding on to anger and bitterness. In this story, Alecia has her share of hardship, but she seeks strength and healing from God each day. While Conner faced tragedy and turned away from God, holding in to his pain. Then in Gods perfect timing, Alecia and Conner come face and face. And while they feel drawn to one other, Conner’s hardness toward God is a barrier to a relationship together. Is there any hope for a future together? I was enthralled from the beginning. The story is so beautifully written that it pulls you in.

I loved this story.

Connor Dayton is a Pastor at a church. When his son Jason drowned and his wife left him, Connor
sold his home, moved to Harvey's Cove. Turning his back on his faith, blaming God for taking his
son, he just wanted to be alone.

Then he met Zeke, a 8 year old that lives next door. Then he met Zeke's mother, Alecia when she
came looking for Zeke and found his in Connor's home. Zeke enjoys time with Connor's dog, Zeus.

Alecia is a single parent, disowned by her parents and raising a son with special needs.

Connor finds himself with an interview for a job at the hardware store. The owner happens to be the
uncle of Alecia.

Through many turns of events, Connor once again trusts God and finds peace and Alecia finds
companionship with Connor.

Great characters, good story and great lessons along the way.

A wonderful story of finding how to begin again!
Connor packs up to move, ready to leave behind chaotic memories, and hoping to leave them behind. He hoped to build a new life, in a new house, and along the beach. Upon moving in, he soon found himself with a child in his house, who began talking to him about various things, and asking questions. He was amused, but after a while, he thought he should begin searching for where the boy lived. He met his next-door neighbor, Alecia, who was the boy’s mom. This is a book that draws you in, and you’ll find yourself reading as quickly as you are able to. I highly recommend this book!

A touching story about second chances, that centers around the losses of a child, a marriage, a home, a profession and finally faith in God. Why do these bad things happen to God's people? Ms. Fraser has done a beautiful job of portraying this story about Connor, Alisha and Zeke and a very special🐕 dog.

This second round of Potter's House Books Two has not disappointed with these first three books. Just reading them makes me feel so much closer to the Lord. I am thankful for these exceptional authors that have shared their gifts of writing with the reading audience.
Such a beautiful story of God's eternal love.

Zeke!!! This 8 year old's energy was so infectious. Sweet little boy! I loved how his excess energy brought his mother Alecia and Connor together.
They had both been through a lot and Harvey's Cove was a place of new beginnings for them.

I loved reading how Alecia relied on God for everything even when things were not the way she wanted them to be. Her strength to make it through storms was very admirable.
I was hurting with Cooner but was delighted when his heart and life got aligned with God.

A beautiful love story of God's faithfulness and presence even in despair.

The settings of the book was fantastic!!

When Connor arrived in Harvey’s Cove he is shocked by the way everyone treats each. Zeneca is a amazing little boy who everyone loves. Alecia is trying her best to raise Zeke and get her house updated. Watching Connor and Alecia become friends is amazing, and the way they help each other is truly inspirational. You will feel God working throughout this wonderful story. I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review. Kristen Fraser is a amazing Christian author. I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could.

Wow! Ms. Fraser has given a story full of hope, redemption, finding second changes, and never giving up on yourself or on love. And to always believe in our Father. I would love to visit Harvey's Cove and meet these charming folks! The struggles are felt so vividly from the characters and I just wanted to reach out and hug them. And Zeke, what a beautiful soul he was! I shed tears and emotions ran high with this story. Connor and Alecia's story is so precious. Again, we see the unconditional love of God!

This was a wonderful book. I really enjoyed getting to know Connor and Alecia. Connor chose to turn away from the comfort God could provide and Alecia who had chosen to turn to God to help her through life. I loved how this story played out and both Alecia and Connor found help for their needs. I received a complimentary copy of this book but have freely chosen to give my own opinions and thoughts.

Allow the truth to set you free! An inspiring page turning romance with delightful characters, a snake, a tropical storm, a child's birthday party, a dog and an Australian setting. As a person, who is not fond of snakes, I chuckled at Alecia's horror. Contemporary issues of a single mom with an attention deficit son and a divorced ex pastor made the story relevant around the world. Travel Australia no passport required.

This story is about coping with the unexpected things that life throws at you. Connor moves to what I thought sounded like an ideal place to live, so that he could start his life over. It's hard to let go of the bad things that happen to us though, but with God's love and grace we can always get through tough times. I was drawn into the story by the excellent writing and I'm sure you will be too. I was given a complimentary copy of this book to read and the thoughts on the story are my own.

Kristen M. Fraser has done it again with an other great book. I enjoyed getting to know Connor and Alesia. She was a single mom with a special little boy. Connor was a single man that had lost his faith. Then they met and became close and God was in it. I was given this book as a free download, but I am writing this review on my own. I recommend this book.

I liked how the healing Alecia needed came from the only one who could truly heal her. I was saddened that her wrong thinking caused her so many years of despair. I hope this also gives young people the incentive to confide in parents that are there for them. I liked how our concepts of ourselves & God are exposed as wrong thinking. I liked how Alcia's parents were not what she thought they were. I don't like that our expections so often are due to wrong concepts of ourselves, others, & God. I am so thankful that this author addressed this problem.

A single mom with a special needs child, a guilt ridden man who has turned his back to God

Can a man, riddled with guilt over the loss of his son, find his way back to God? As he meets a single mother with a special needs son, he slowly learns to love again and to trust in the One who has never left him! A great book

Redemption

Conner lost his son. As well as his wife. He most of all gave up on God and the love he used to have in his faith and trust. This was slowely restored by a lady who lived next door with a son who required a great deal of attention. Truly a story of how Conner found God and peace again. Recommended this story.

Again a beautiful story from these beautiful ladies that make up The Potters House books.God is always waiting for our return if we walk away, I love that He is God of second chances, especially when we do not always understand the “why’s”of our life!

God is greater than our unbelief

I know how hard it is to know how to help a child with special needs. Alicia trusted God and He helped her. Through her example and witness, Connor was able to believe without a doubt that God is very real. Very well done!
