Best-Kept Secrets: A Spin the Bottle Novel

Rate this book
At the end of sophomore year, Jill, Hilton, and Lorylyn made a pact to live their lives to the fullest over the summer, and they set out to do exactly that. As Brady and Brooke take a whirlwind tour through Spain and Portugal, the girls, now honed and accomplished liars, spend more and more drunken nights at Landon's and feel less and less guilty about deceiving their parents. Hilton's relationship with Landon takes on a new intensity. Jill, devastated by the gap between herself and Todd that's been created by his relationship with Melanie, gets caught up in a fast and reckless summer fling with a flirtatious, charming boy. Lorylyn struggles with her still very-present feelings for Brady, and Hillary appears suddenly and inexplicably bored with Dirk, although she claims it's really no big deal. While everyone outwardly parties the summer away and puts on the pretense of being happy, tumultuous forces with the power to change everything are stirring and building behind the scenes.Brady's constant thoughts of Lorylyn, Kara and Andy's budding relationship, Melanie's growing jealousy of Jill, and destructive, devastating secrets kept by one person and by groups of people-secrets no one else could even begin to imagine. I am a YA and women's fiction author. I love writing because I get to capture emotions people feel in everyday life and play with my readers' emotions! ;) I write characters people can relate to, and I almost always end a book with a cliffhanger to keep my readers coming back. Plus, life is always better with a little suspense! ;) My books are mostly about relationships and everyday life, with some extra plot twists thrown in for fun! My characters reappear from one novel to the next, and even when they're not main characters in the current book, you can still get updates on their lives. I travel whenever I can, I love animals and helping animal organizations, and I am slightly obsessed w/ men's pro tennis, the shows Revenge and Friends, the Before Sunrise/Sunset/Midnight movie trilogy, the 1920s, New York City, Paris, song lyrics, and many many books! :) You can find me online at: daisyjordan.com, facebook.com/AuthorDaisyJordan, twitter.com/daisyjordan06 (@daisyjordan06), authordaisyjordan.wordpress.com, and pinterest.com/daisyjordan06.

It's summertime again, which means new romances, hanging out, and parties at Landon's.

For Jill, Hilton, and Lorylyn, summer means freedom. The girls explore relationships with different boys: Jill's still crushing over Todd, Hilton's happy with Landon, and Lorylyn's still brokenhearted over Brady.

When September rolls around, no one is ready to go back to school, but their social life remains busy with sports and school activities. The secrets start piling up and come spilling out. Lives change along with relationships.

Daisy Jordan follows up with a third prequel to EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON entitled BEST-KEPT SECRETS. She blends drama and romance together with real life questions revolving around friendship and betrayal, love and sex, and drugs and alcohol, creating an addicting teen world.
