The Last Target

Another military related book (I told you I was on a military kick...) I picked this up and read it in three hours. It was an intense thriller and I just couldn't put it down! It started with a bang and ended with a bang, with a whole lot of running for her life in between. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. I'm definitely going to be reading Christy's other books!

This was an excellent read! Quite the page turner to see what would happen next. I had suspicions on the bad guys but there were enough questions to keep me guessing for most of the book. Definitely worth reading if you're a mystery lover!

This "Love Inspired Suspense" piqued my interest from the very first chapter, I thought it was well written with many twists & turns, and kept me guessing til the end

Imagine, your at a park with your child and suddenly you hear a pop and feel a burn on your arm, then your tackled, and ordered to stay down. What would you think? Would you be inclined to trust the man who tackled you? It really doesn't feel like she has much choice, the agent, Jack Sargeant is a private security owner and he whisks Rachel Reynolds and her son Aiden off to his compound explaining that her uncle has hired his firm to protect her. Someone has a hit list and everyone on it is dead, but Rachel. It seems each day brings worse news, from her office being bombed, to a friend being killed, her apartment ransacked, and finally her location has been discovered and they have to run. All of this close contact between Rachel and Jack have them both struggling with their emotions.
This was a great book!! Lots of action, tons of suspense and suspicion. I was cluing on to who the bad guy was, but the story had lots of twists. I enjoyed this book a lot, and definitely would share it with my friends who love mystery and suspense books! 217 pages US $5.50 4 stars

This is one of those books that really pulls you in and doesn't let go. The characters are superb examples of what I look for in a Christian romance - characters that walk by their faith even when they feel less than able to do what is asked of them. Most amazing is a body guard that seems real and a situation of guarding a person doesn't seem a farce. Without any spoilers the end of the situation is a little fabricated. Overall a first-rate read.

This one has a single mom and her young son who are suddenly shot at while at a public playground! The good guys swoop in and save her and continue trying to do so while being attacked at every turn in super sneaky ways. I suspected who was the ultimate leak, but was super surprised as to the why (although it was good news for her)! And everything turns out alright at the end. Phew!

This was so good! There were times when I kept thinking, "Could he be involved!?!?!" and then I would think... "NO WAY"

This story has so much packed into it, it was hard to breathe sometimes.
If you LOVE mystery, suspense, and action, you will love this book!
The author, Christy Barritt is the kind of author who weaves her stories with so much action and suspense that your heart pounds and you find yourself suspicious of everyone around you, even your own family. Her books are the kind you don’t read at night, or you’ll never get to sleep because your mind will be going fast trying to figure out how it was all going to end... Now don’t get me wrong, I LOVE THESE BOOKS!
This author has a way of capturing you from the very first page to the very last. She is tremendously skilled at keeping us guessing who the bad guy is, in this story!
I’m hoping this will be the start of a new series. I think I’d love to get to know Jack and his gang more. They seem like just the right kind of people you want protecting you if you ever get in a situation where you need protection!
Christy Barritt’s characters seem so real, they just jump off the pages of her books. I’m always looking around to see if I can see them. Adventurous & Thrilling
It was very interesting read. Couldn't put the book down, keeping you in suspense, not knowing where danger was coming from. At the same time it shows how God is with you keeping you safe by sending the correct & stubborn person to protect you from evil. Love the book. I would recommend to anyone who likes mystery, suspense & romance all in one place, as well as clean & God references in a book. God bless everyone

Typical Christy!
You can't beat Christy Barritt. Her characters are 3 dimensional, her plot difficult to put down because of the adventure and suspense. In this story Jack, Rachel, and Aiden face an illusive enemy set on killing Rachel. There are twists and turns every step of the way. I definitely recommend this book!

Fantastic book!
I loved the characters in this book! The storyline was wonderful and at a time like we are going through in country right now, I loved the Patriotic feeling that the book portrayed
We should all be writing to our military! Another great book by Christy Barritt! You will not be disappointed!

Amazing Story of Faith!
Amazing story of faith and trust,suspense and intriguing drama in this heartfelt story. This unbelievably excellent intriguing suspense filled drama with characters that were compelling and unforgettable. Another excellent effort
Christy Barritt has created another riveting novel, this a prequel to Security Experts Series. It is a reprint and at times I felt I had already read it, but other places it seemed new. At any rate it was a good read. And I am continuing to plow through her previous series, trying to catch up. She churns them out so fast, though, it is a challenge.

This book, The Last Target, is an outstanding story. It is full of adventure, suspense and romance. I loved the twisted plot in this story and how much everything in the main characters lives were intertwined. This is another book by Christy Barritt that I could not put down until I found out how it ended. I highly recommend this book if you like unpredictable stories.

This book kept me guessing who was after Rachel and what her connection was to the bad guys until the very end. I did not see the ending coming. A book about persistence, faith, and following God's lead. I can't wait to read the next one!

I really enjoyed reading this book. It keeps you guessing who the bad guys really are. It is a love story not only about Rachel and Jack but our Lord and Savior Jesus.

I really loved the story line of this book! There was intrigue and suspense as well as plenty of action. I just wanted more from this story...to get to know the characters a little more, and more detail in the adventure. But in all, it was an entertaining read!

Another great book from Christy. The characters in this book are people you learn to love. Christy makes her characters a part of the readers imaginary world. It takes a great author to do that and Christy is one of the best.

This is a solid book, however I was disappointed in how long it took for them to figure out who was behind all of the attacks. I believe the characters dropped the ball of couple of times, but then again they were literally on the run.

What a great read.
The Last Target was a great read. It was suspenseful to the very end. I never suspected the parents, don't want to give it away just in case this is posted . I loved the Security Expert series, and would recommend it to others. God bless you.

such a wonderful book!!!
Yet another wonderful wonderful book by Christy Barritt. She is hands down my favorite author. I could hardly put this book down…. but I had to do work around the house lol

I loved how strong Rachel was as a mom. It was also nice to see a man, who against the odds chose to be loyal and honest. Christy did a great job in writing this book.
