Robert Vaughan

He has also written a series of contemporary and historical romance novels under several pseudonyms including "Paula Moore" and "Paula Fairman". His father served in the military and Robert followed him in the 1950s, entering army aviation. He served until the Vietnam War and won numerous medals including the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, the Air Medal with several oak-leaf clusters, the Meritorious Service Medal, and several other medals.
His early books reflected his military background: the first novel was about the US Army along the DMZ in Korea, followed by a trilogy set in Vietnam. There are more than 9 million of his books in print under various names. He was inducted into the Writers’ Hall of Fame in 1998.

Buck and Lance take no prisoners in this compassionately outstanding western masterpiece, as they finally bring justice to their extended area.Outstanding job one again by Mr. Vaughan, as he leads us along on one exciting adventure after the other, and there is never a dull moment throughout this compelling western masterpiece!
Definitely another five star masterpiece, as the Chaney brothers once bring peace and stability to their respective areas, but not without a few setbacks. I have enjoyed all of the Chaney books, but this one definitely grabs you immediately, and with all the new developing episodes throughout the story, you, as a reader will never have a let down.
Outstanding storylines throughout this compelling western folklore masterpiece, and the Author's outstanding character selections were effectively chosen for their commanding assignments. There are times for a little romancing thrown in to what your appetite, but nothing grabs you as much as the outstanding descriptive gunfighting does.
Without hesitation, I definitely recommend this outstanding story to all readers, but especially to all of you western addicted readers of outstanding entertaining revelations of our old American West, and how it was actually tamed. Give it a shot, or you will be the losers!😄

This book was absolutely fantastic, I could not put it down, so I didn't! Definitely a must read, for excitement, lots of action packed scenes, lots of drama throughout this book, lots of mysteries solved, lots of fun parts and sad ones. So don't miss this series, you'll find it outstanding! 📚🤠🐝🎶

Very disappointing read
Implausible, confused, and unrelated narratives strung together. Too many outlaw gangs, marshals, sheriffs, mayors, towns, store owners, and murders. Way too many of the wrong people dying for a good story. Vaughan
usually is a much better writer than this.

Brotherly Love
A very well written western story. The story Will hold the reader's attention, but found it a little hard to keep all of the character with all the different names separate. Great ending.

too many charters
The chapters with Custer was not needed in this book. Aa it appears to me it only filled the book with needless latitude. It totally out of character with Robert Vaughn writing. Am I wrong?zz

Chaney’s Win Again
So far this has been the best of the Chaney’s adventures! This one kept me guessing what’s going to happen next and was intense. Robert Vaughan is one of the best western writers yet!

Read all of the books in order to really enjoy. Storyline continues to grow and develop. Characters are realistic and get better and better.

The chase is on and maybe it’s getting closer????
When Colonel Craig Flint comes to Lance Chaney for help, being the loyal man, he is, he just could not refuse the ex-commanding officer that he had served under during the Civil War. Even though he is confused about what is going on he agrees to help out. Buck won’t let his brother go off and get into trouble by himself, so he decides to go along and help out knowing everywhere they have gone trouble has found them. While the brothers are gone the deputy that they had left in charge gets killed and Lily Montgomery feels helpless as the town no longer has any law. When two rival ranch hands start to tear apart her saloon and a one-eyed man offers to help out she decides to recommend him to the mayor to help out while Buck and Lance are gone. But Ben Tavers figures that an angel has just lit on his shoulder for him and his gang.
What did I like? Talk about excitement, Indians, outlaws, murder, romance, freezing weather and least of all trouble with a capital T! What more could you want in a great series with handsome and sexy leading men?
What will you like? Sensational action, stimulating chase, thrilling characters, breathtaking read, all that in the first 5 chapters, go on for more and enjoy but be prepared to lose sleep because you won’t be able to lay this book down. Excellent writing, very developed storyline, exciting characters with lots of descriptions and details to keep the pages turning. Awesome read, looking forward to more of this series from this author. I received this from the publisher in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. The Chaney Brothers who are the law in the town of Barlow, Texas. They have their hands full trying to keep the town peaceful. The town suffers a bank robbery, a two faced Sheriff Ben Traders and his so so called deputies have hoodwinked the town and the Mayor who appointed Travers.
The brothers are headed to the town of Paradise, which is known as a haven for outlaws on the run..They are tracking Ben Travers and his henchmen, who have also kidnapped Lily, a saloon hostess(sounds better than soiled dove)
don't you'll think so??? The town folks of Barlow accused and called her a "whore "another depreciating, derogatory term used to describe women by men(skunks) how's that!!
Lots of action and interaction between the characters of this western adventure. The cowboys talking to their horses and expecting an answer, which they get, but in horse lingo..ha ha!

An RV. Western Action Adventure (TH) (ACBWB - 3)
RV. Had penned a western action adventure that stretches from Northwestern Texas to Little Bit Horn. Two brothers at a town Marshall and a deputy. They have little our no trouble since being placed in office. A man is murdered and the two brothers chase after a half breed and his intended. They follow the pair into Sioux territory where they meet General Armstrong Custer. They head back to Texas and when They arrive. Everything is messed up and under the control of outlaws. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

Too Many Unrelated Plots & Characters
I REALLY enjoyed the first Chaney Brothers book, and like the second one too. However, this one drove me nuts.
It had two to three unrelated main story lines with different characters going on. And there was a fourth sizable excursion that had nothing to do with the rest of the book.
It was too long and too broad. I enjoy westerns that are beyond “turn a page” stories but this went to a point that I dreaded reading it.

I would love this book it was a very interesting novel
I think the book was very enjoyable by from the beginning to the end the writer had his hands on everything and just a proper manner I had some very good stories to go along with it each one was very interesting and kept you in suspense throughout the whole book it was a client wholesome book that I would recommend anyone to read it was my pleasure to have read this book sincerely Bill Vogel'

The two brothers were the sheriff and his deputy.
They were hunting for a kidnapper. As they travel across the west, they find more and more trouble. From Custer and to the indians to more bad men every where they turn. Would they ever get back to there home town? Did they know what was happening to their town while they were gone?

The Chaney brothers had to fight many people!
There were so many outlaws and subplots that it was hard to keep up with them all. A lot of good people were killed. But the two brothers finally got things straightened out.

This was a good read that starts out fast and doesn't slow down. The author leaves no doubt about it and doesn't let you have a really awkward moment. The story line is pretty much straightforward.

A wild goose chase
Leads to openings for more than one crew of very nasty outlaws to cause a whole lot of havoc! Good ending though.

Unliked part
The segment with the Army and the Indians to my opinion took away from the story for awhile but I continued until I got back into the story.

Action packed story. Lots of excitement in several places. Hated that a good guy was hung an another beaten to death. Also learn difference between desert and dessert.
