I was definitely looking forward to Nyx’s story. She has been intriguing from the beginning of the series. I was totally surprised and, sometimes, shocked with how this story played out. But, I wasn’t disappointed in the least and loved the teaser that I hope everyone else got. No spoilers here.

Nyx … brilliant and beautiful. She is closed off, keeps a wall up around here and for good reason. But, she does let Grigoris in. She doesn’t tell him the one secret that she knows will change his opinion of her. She is falling in love with the beautiful Greek but can’t or won’t act on it. It’s not fair to him and she can’t take too many chances. But, thanks to the Fleet Admiral, her secret is out and she will have to live with everyone now knowing her shame. It’s time to confront her past and find the mastermind who took the one woman she really thought she could be friends with.

Grigoris was in love with Nyx. He hasn’t left her side since the attack. He finds her fascinating, smart and beautiful. He also knows that she has walls up around her and that he can’t move to fast. He doesn’t want to lose someone who has become so important to him. As they are all called together and he finds out just why her walls are up, he can’t help but wonder why. But, he’ll stand by her side and protect her no matter what.

After seeing why Nyx hid her past, Grigoris knows that he will do whatever it takes to find the mastermind and protect her from Petro and Hanna. Nyx knows what true love is now and has no idea what she is going to do about it. She does not want to be in a Triad and can’t keep Grigoris from one. She knows he understands but still can’t let him go.

So, as I said in the beginning, I was surprised and shocked throughout the story. Surprised with the outcome of the story. Shocked with the violence. Yes, Lila Dubois and Mari Carr truly shocked me with the the deaths in the story and how they died. But, what really shocked me was the ending and how Eric handled the situation. I cried. I didn’t see it coming. But, was truly grateful that it was handled the way it was. As for that spoiler … well, I am still not saying anything but I hope everyone who had the pleasure of reading this story, caught it. I’m intrigued, are you?

I love how this story flows freely between both the Master’s Admiralty and Trinity Master’s. I love how they could throw in that little humor when you know tempers and emotions are high. The characters are so well written and seamlessly fit into the story lines. They all compliment each other and add interesting aspects to the story. They may all be different, have their own quirks but they work. So, yes, I am looking forward to where all of this is leading and hope to see more of the Trinity Master’s in coming books as well.

Oh, this is a hard one to review. It was action packed, it had twists and turns, a forbidden, doomed affair, and was a romantic suspense of the highest calibre. Nyx and Grigoris have so much to do, are so close to figuring it all out, if they can stay out of harm’s way. Secrets, lies, and histories are revealed, giving way to present circumstances. Danger is everywhere, unknown foes and enemies at every turn. Yet, the fragility of humans and their emotions is the running thread. The joy, the pain, the worry, the love, we feel for our fellow beings, strokes and envelopes you as the story unfolds

I sit her bleary eyed and stuffed up from crying, and yet, I’m hopeful for the future in this series for the characters. The mantra of no, no, no, no, it can’t be, hit me about 54% of the way in, and coloured everything after that. Have the tissues ready, there is no way around it. Even when things made me smile, it was a constant there in the background. It causes so much, and a couple things made me flinch and grimace, but they made sense in the face of this tragedy. They made sense in the face of the hope needed. They made sense in love, sexual and friendship, that caused the pain, and the healing, needed

This is a hard book to review because it will linger and stay with me. It caused so many emotions, and the happily ever after was fought for so hard, and that too, causes a flood of emotions. I loved this book, this story, these characters, and because of that, it caused me to feel what they were feeling. That is the litmus test of an amazing story, and this passed with flying colours

ARC. This novel is so Intelligent, suspenseful, and emotional it pulls you in completely.   This writing is on a whole new level for the Debois / Carr team.   Be prepared to be shocked, stumped and asking yourself; “What happened”.   There is absolutely no way you will be able to figure out the powerful ending.   You will, however, say that you can’t wait for more.   Lila and Mari have outdone themselves and given us something we never expected from the Trinity Masters or the Masters’ Admiralty.   NO, I’m not going to give it away.  Plan to be enthralled by this book from the time you crack the virtual binder to the epilogue
I have been a fan of these triads since the beginning:  Elemental Pleasure.   I wondered how the talented authors could write about books upon books of ménage relationships and keep it fresh.   I guarentee you have not experienced a menage like this. Go ahead, try. It occurred to me during this book; the series is about way more than the bedroom.  You will live and feel what the characters are experiencing.    Lila and Mari give an interloper view of how all aspects of the triad relationship works, even those that may not. That, my friends, is the difference between someone penning an untold number of books about sex, and the talent of this pair.   They drawn you in, and turn you in circles so fast, you will be dizzy.   Do.Not.Miss.This.
This has to be the first of it's kind for this series.

Intricate, Detailed and Fabulous!!!!

The Mastermind is setting off bombs, killing members and training others to create chaos within the Masters’ Admiralty organization. A concerted effort to narrow down the suspects has our main characters facing their greatest fears and risking their lives.

Having already been attacked Nyx cannot tolerate anyone at her back and continues to have nightmares. Grigoris is protecting Nyx during her recovery and falling for her. But she is not available. Trinity marriages are the rule.

Brilliantly written psychological thriller with fascinating details drawing you in close enough to the action to get your own blood splatter. Absolutely stunning read!!

Bravery’s Sin starts full-throttle and doesn’t ease up until the very last word—honestly, it barely slows down!

I don’t even know where to start as so much happens in this excellent addition to this fantastic Master’s Admiralty series.

What you need to know is Nyx and Grigoris are pure magic. Their romance that blooms slowly and beautifully through to the craziness that ensues in pursuit of the Mastermind is sweet, smart, and sexy AF. They are perfect for each other.

Even as the secrets they keep and expose threaten to end things before they really get started. And whoa are there some big—huge—secrets!

And I cannot wait for more because that ending . . . dear god, that ending left me with a heavy dose of anticipation! ~ Missy, 5 stars

If only I could give it more than five stars!!! Bravery’s Sin, Master’s Admiralty Book 5 kept me stuck to my reading chair. A storyline so complex that it kept my undivided attention right to the end, suspense so riveting I couldn’t stop reading, Love so powerful that exceptions had to be made, scenes so gruesome that I can see why this book had to be released for Halloween (I could just hear authors Mari Carr and Lila Dubois cackling in the back of my mind as I read through these scenes!!!). Not for the faint of heart… Be WARNED!!! Definitely one of my favourites from this series! Can’t say more or I’ll spill the beans!!

The tension is rising as the urgent search for the Mastermind behind all the atrocities continues. Nyx has to face her past as she and Gregoris look for clues to solve this mystery. Will they be successful? Just who will they discover to be the traitor? Can they stop them?

All is revealed in this addictive and action packed, excellent and well written book which is crammed with twists and turns, suspense and intrigue.

I thoroughly enjoyed this and highly recommend it to you.

Mari Carr and Lila Dubois have a unique talent of giving their readers exactly what they want, and that's exactly what they gave us in Bravery's Sin. A beautifully written, action-packed romance with lots of intrigue, suspense, mystery, danger, secrets, lies, twists and turns, tragedy, hope, so many emotions, love, and that HEA.

I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.

This is part of the Master's Admiralty Series but can be read as a standalone. The chemistry between Nyx and Grigoris is strong. This book is full of drama, suspense, secret societies and some danger. Plenty of twists and surprises to keep your interest. Well written with strong, well-developed characters. A good and entertaining book.

Ummmm..... I loved this story but I honestly don't know what to say that won't ruin the book.

The twists the turns where blindsiding and thrilling. The sex was hot and the adventure blood pumping, with characters that stand beside you for tge entire journey. Tears and chocolate are needed at times, but so is laughter and wine, and that's all I'm going to say coz everything else spoils the book

3.5 stars rounded up
I've been waiting for this story ever since meeting Nyx and getting a glimpse of the antagonistic banter between her and Grigoris in a previous book. Their romance didn't let me down! This was also the book where we finally learn who the Mastermind is and while I personally felt the reveal and reasoning behind the truth was a little anticlimactic and that it dragged on for longer than it should've, I thought that it was a satisfying ending overall.

There was a character death in this story, of one of my favourites from the beginning, and it was absolutely heartbreaking! And not to mention quite gruesome. I wish that it didn't have to happen because I felt that it was only done as a way to ensure this couple gets their HEA but also to move the plot along for the next book in the series. I also found it disappointing especially knowing the reason why it all happened in the first place—honestly a bit of a whomp-whomp moment for me.

Nyx and Grigoris were easy characters to root for. Nyx has experienced so much suffering and pain, not just from the more recent attack that left both physical and mental scars, but from her secret past that is revealed. Yet despite all the trauma she has endured, she refuses to be beaten down and I admired that about her character. Grigoris was not at all what I expected and I loved how sweet and caring he was towards Nyx. Their romance was everything I wanted and more!

They are opposites in many ways but their chemistry was undeniable; they were so in-tune with each other and it was clear that there was as much respect as there was love between them. By the time we reunite with them in this book, their bond had only become stronger, though it would've been nice to actually experience the moments of getting to know each other. We do get one or two flashbacks but as it is I felt there was more 'tell' than 'show' about their relationship, at least initially. That said, their chemistry does lead to some explosive and delightfully steamy moments when they finally confront their feelings for each other! 🥵 But there were also some very tender moments that balanced out their more intense feelings. Their romance was definitely different compared to the other trinities in the series so far but I'm not mad at how they got their HEA.

This book absolutely blew me out of the water. I picked up this books after work, and the next thing I knew, it was 2 am, and I was starving because I had thought of nothing besides the Master Admiralty for so many hours! With each new story in this series, I think that they can't possible get better, but the do. Each new story adds to the mystery, to the heat, to the bigger story that is the Masters Admiralty, and I have to admit to reading the entire Trinity Masters/Masters Admiralty saga more than once. It's everything I love in a series. Romance, intrigue, danger. Absolutely amazing.

This is usually the part that I'd give a short synopsis, or some details about my feelings about the characters, but I'm not going to do that this time. I don't want to give anything away, so I'm just going to say that the characters have had a rough time of it, and it doesn't look like their lives will get better, but never say never! (this is a romance, after all, and a HEA is a requirement!)

Bravery's Sin took everything that I loved from the previous books, and increased that by a hundred fold. There is more danger and intrigue, more of the impossible relationship, more surprises, more heat, and more love. I laughed, I cried, and my heart almost pounded out of my chest in some places. This book is an absolute must read for fans of the series, and the entire series is a must read for anyone that loves an amazing story.

SPOILER FREE REVIEW.

I just finished reading Bravery’s Sin, and I cannot stop thinking about it. I’ll start by saying that this was another beautifully-written addition to the Trinity Masters and Masters’ Admiralty books. Every one of these books contain enough twists and turns to keep me guessing, but this book is truly extraordinary and is most definitely a page-turner. I actually put a piece of paper in front of my kindle to read one line at a time, because I didn’t want to get ahead of myself. Lila Dubois and Mari Carr are queens of romantic suspense. I was on the edge of my seat the majority of this book, and quite a few tears were shed.

We met Dr. Nyx Kata and Grigoris Violaris previously, but I will not spoil the identity of the third person in this trinity. Bravery’s Sin is the most unexpected story in either the TM or MA books and contains the most unexpected trinity, to date. As I surmised, there are several dangling treads at the end of the book. That just means that more books are coming, which makes me both happy and anxious.

There is too much backstory, so don’t read Bravery’s Sin as a stand-alone. But do yourself a favor and catch up with all the Trinity Masters and Masters’ Admiralty stories, so you can fully enjoy this incredible, complex, breathtaking tale.

Nyx Kata is a member of the Librarians and she is a member of the group trying to figure out the Mastermind’s next move. Unfortunately, Nyx has major issues since she was kidnapped and tortured by one of the mastermind’s minions. Gregoris Violaris is a Knight and protector of Nyx, and secretly in love with her. Both are sent on a mission by Eric to locate information about the Mastermind back in Hungary. Once there, everything begins to go downhill.
This story blew me away. Every time these ladies write an Admiralty book, I think they can’t outdo themselves. This book proved me wrong. I won’t give anything more away about this story, but suffice it to say, this in my opinion, was the best one yet. There are so many twists and turns on this roller coaster ride. Just when you think you have a handle on the “who done it”, boom, you are thrown off course again. I thought I would have all of my questions answered at the end, but if you read through the story carefully, you will end up with more questions and theories than when you started. I really enjoyed this story and can’t wait to see what happens to all of these wonderful characters next.

Mastermind, Pawns and death. Oh my.

Nyx ran from her future when she was young. Her prison. Her duty. She thought she was free. Her journey made her into scholar and one of the Librarians. It also made her a self proclaimed prisoner that would keep her from love. Then she met Grigoris. Her Knight in every day clothes with a knife.
Grigoris was from another territory. He is supposed to protect. In order to protect he had to pretend he failed to keep the secrets. Pretend he might not be worthy of his title.
While sequestered away to heal from her attack orchestrated by The Mastermind, she fell in love. And that was not allowed. Nyx still wondered if Grigoris felt the same. He did but
An unexpected order from The Viking brings them all together and more secrets were exposed. One that Nyx had not wanted to share with Grigoris. Will having all the Librarians in one place be helpful or will it end in a senseless and brutal death like the Conclaves before?

The Mastermind, has to go no matter what.

The hunt for the Mastermind continues...

This is only the second book in the series I've read, but I am hooked! Combining my love of spies, action, mystery, adventure, history, and romance, tbis book, and the series, hit all the right notes for me.

After Nyx's horrific encounter with one of the
Mastermind's minions, Grigoris is the only person Nyx trusts implicitly. Grigoris has found himself drawn to her strength, beauty, intelligence, and bravery.

They find themselves being sent to Nyx's original home to investigate possible connections to the Mastermind. Home to investigate Nyx's husband, the admiral of that territory. She has not seen him since she left at 18.

Twists, turns, tragedy, terror, and passion, all draw us into this world. We spend a little time with Eric, Collum, and Josephine. We meet some new characters and get to see some of the others we already know from this bookiverse.

I loved it. Cannot wait to read more!

Catching the mastermind is priority number one for the secret society. Along the way, people become close and fall for someone they can never have. Nyx and Grigoris are two such. I fell off my chair several times in this book. There are twists and spoilers that I won’t give away even though I really want to. Nyx is such a strong and intelligent woman that has a past that prevents her from living the way she wants. Grigoris is the most understanding man and patient with her. The world they exist in consists of trinities. They have no hope of that happening so will they have a hope for a future? The mastermind still continues to elude all their efforts to find him or her despite the most intelligent and strategically minded people chasing. I loved this book and cannot wait to see where some of these characters wind up. By the way, to Ms Carr and Ms Dubois... stop killing my favorite characters!

Absolutely awesome! The search for a diabolical madman continues in Bravery's Sin, the fifth and most riveting book to date of this incredible series. It's the most shocking, most mind-bending, most heartbreaking, most emotional, most thrilling book so far. Even with their uncertain future, the relationship between Nyx and Grigoris is deep and true, their love awe-inspiring. Lila Dubois and Mari Carr are masters of their craft. The writing and detailed plotting are superb. I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything that happened leading up to the stunning conclusion of the book. It had me on the edge of my seat and I couldn't put it down.

Warning: Bravery‘s Sin is such an amazing page-turner that you will lose sleep or the ability to do anything else until you finish it. I seriously could not put the book down, and now I have a book hangover. Nyx and Grigoris’s story has so much emotion in it, and their love story is beautiful. Nyx overcame a lot to become the woman that she is today. The rest of the Librarians are on the nail-biting case to find the mastermind. Tragedy leads to something more. Will the mystery finally be solved? Bravery’s Sin is suspenseful, and sexy. I hope that there is a lot more to come from Mari Carr and Lila Dubois. I can’t wait for the next book!!

Book five in the Masters’ Admiralty but can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. Has secondary characters from previous books in the series, but easy to follow along and back story and history is given. It is full length with a lot of characters working together to solve a mystery. In the Masters’ Admiralty each book is about a different triad relationship, but this triad has a twist! This story takes its time with details and backgrounds on the characters, we really get to know, love and care about them. This is a well woven story that keeps your interest and even thought some mysteries are solved, I can’t wait for more!

A beautiful geek, a handsome Greek and too many twists to count...

Yes, the admiralty is still after the Mastermind but that mystery has nothing on Nyx and Grigoris’ relationship. This story captured my heart and curiosity from the beginning. Nyx has a container ship load of baggage. But the admiralty doesn’t matchmake and only does triads. Where does this leave our intrepid couple? Nearly in tears one moment then giggling the next this book is a roller coaster thrill ride with a sweet sexy romance in the background. If romantic suspense is your bag don’t miss this heartbreakingly beautiful tale.

WOW de luxe, this is a stunning book.

The desperate search for the mastermind comes to a most satisfactory conclusion in this book. Shocking truths are revealed about Nyx's past as she and Gregoris search for clues to discover the identity of the mastermind. A whole gamut of emotions in this book; I laughed, cried, shrieked and sobbed through to the most intense, emotional and unexpected ending. And, of course adding to the enjoyment and suspense, there is Eric.

Well done Mari Carr and Lila Dubois for another stunningly wonderful book. The story line and interaction between all the characters is perfection.

Coming back into the world of the Admiralty is like having been on vacation and now the heartbreaking hunt for the mastermind begins again.
There are so many things to consider, truths to find among all the false leads. Whom to trust, when to run for cover.
All over the globe our heroes zigzag in pursuit of one maniacal individual and his/her helpers.
Those two ladies dragged me through heartbreak and bravery, devastating loss and new love, satisfying revenge and a temporary calm before the hunt begins again.
At least they promised that!
I'll be checking!!!

This story is complex, compelling and heartrending. The story begins with the developing relationship between Nyx and Gregoris, and continues with the urgent work in trying to find the Mastermind who has caused so much death, havoc, and heartache to various members of the Masters Admiralty.

As Nyx and Gregoris pursue leads, old secrets are revealed that will test their relationship. During the course of the book, there will be great loss, warm and loving relationships, and great upheaval.

A wild ride, and one of the best books in the series. WELL DONE!!!

This series! The suspense and intrigue are at an all time high with Bravery's Sin. These two authors have delivered another read that keeps the pages turning while you sit on the edge of your seat waiting to find out what happens. Even though this is the story of Nyx and Grigoris it really so much more and involves all associated with the Master's Admiralty. If you have read any of the other books in this series this is a must read.

This series just keeps getting better and better!

Heartbreakingly sad, ferocious and yes love. So much emotion.

Nyx is always running and hiding. Her only real friends, fellow librarians. Grigoris a knight, a protector, the man who seems to understand her and to have her back.

Such a rollercoaster of mystery and death, suspense and intrigue. I really loved this story. It kept me on the edge of my seat and my mind running for its entirety.

A remarkable story!
I've been a Mari Carr reader for a very long time. I can't help but to devour anything she writes. Add in the sometimes evil Lila Dubois and you'll have yourself a 5 star read every time!
This book will leave you scraching your head, gasping, crying, and fist pumping. I couldn't put it down.
A must read!
