Bree Adams is tired. As an admin in a busy, prestigious New York law firm, she is in need of a vacation. A long escape to Peru seems like the perfect place to elude the hustle and bustle of the big city.

She shops and eats at some of the finest restaurants. She explores the historical basilica and the dank and morbid catacombs. She meets several locals and learns more about the city’s colorful history.

Bree returns to New York refreshed. But something has followed her home.

Something diabolical and ancient.

Something that will not stop tormenting her until she is dead.

Good story line not great execution

The story is good, the world building and character building was ok. The main thing I didn't like was the book jumped so it took a second to realize what was going on. Its a quick read and truly has the ability to be a great story, I think had it been longer and therefore had more ability to dive in a little it would've been better. But the bouncing around without any indication other than a space between paragraphs really bugged me. It just kept feeling like something was missing in each paragraph.

Really enjoyed this! Creepy, nerve-wracking, and a page turner!! Some very creepy parts to this, loved it! The ending fell a little short, but the rest was so good!

A great horror story that will send prickles down your spine. The "Queen of Macabre" does it again creating a harrowing, page-turning story with another unpredictable ending. A perfect read for the Halloween season. Highly recommend!
