There are several things that I don't like about these books, one is when the author tries to cram as many as possible named characters into a chapter and the other is the obsession with describing every item of clothing. Unfortunately this is exactly what he does in the opening chapters of this book.
The rest of the book is a cross between a Soap Opera, a Political Thriller and a bit of a Space Opera. Fortunately as the story develops it becomes an enjoyable read. As the final book this successfully finished off the many different storylines and was a fitting end to the Jessica Keller series.

This is the last in the series, but there were hints that the author might be considering a bigger inter-galactic adventure, I would certainly read that book.

Why not 5 stars?

I've paid a fortune for the series. So it's OK. But I find it annoying that, instead of Jessica winning her battles by sheer talent, there's always a deus ex machina. Someone pulls the right rabbit out of their hat at just the right time to win the next battle.

A cracking good read.

The usual rolling read many strings running concurrently. Weaving together to provide the perfect end of the so far 9 book series. Looking forward to the future that only time and Blaze can deliver.

Beyond a MUST read

I’m a junkie for sci fi in general, and can’t get enough of a series like this one. Allow time every day, as you won’t want to miss any of the non stop action. Especially the last book.

A Fitting End

Slam bang action and great characters really make this series. I haven't read a less than 5-star book yet. Thanks Mr. Ward for a truly enjoyable series!
