This was just spooky, at times scary, and I definitely didn't sleep that well thanks to this one. Haha. I would recommend it!

I am always excited when I find a new book to read that is filled with spooky stories! In this one we get several eye witness stories from spooky things that happened to them. From spooky kids in trees shooting pebbles to your windows to something so scary people died to spooky sounds in the walls to a man in a hat standing in your room to oh hey what is that thing on your freaking ceiling? The stories are short but freaking scary for almost all the book. At times I just wanted to shout RUN RUN RUN NOPE NOPE NOPE. Some made pictures of corners and I was like, why the fuck would you do that, I wouldn't want to know what is lurking there. Shadows are enough a hint for me. XD

I definitely need to check out more of this author's books!

This reads like someone copied and pasted from a Reddit thread. And, that wasn’t terrible, but the editing errors were distracting and some of the stories were dumb. One story had a title header and nothing there. Honestly, when I read some KU things I keep my expectations low.

I enjoyed the stories and can tell you some from when I grew in a1868 farm house wth a road ad houses through it. There were quite as grammar errors but those can be fixed tans for Arvada at all of you sincerely christinedunne Harlingen Texas'.

In Eve S. Evans's "Real ghost stories" she has the reader immersed into 11 different short, but true ghost stories.

This book is written in 1st person, having the feel as if someone is sitting around a campfire telling guest stories. These stories were very easy and quick to read.

I liked the stories but only gave this book 3 stars because I felt that the stories were too short and did not have enough scare or details to them. Each mini story felt more like just a possible paranormal experience but felt like it could have been an imagination or something. I kept waiting for explanations like past deaths or why might be haunted.

I did like Eve Evans's writing and did flow nicely. I definitely plan on reading more of her works. I would recommend these stories for any age because I did not think they were very scary (but maybe read before you let someone young read bc maybe I just am not easily scared)

Dull and badly edited

This was not what I'd hoped. The stories varied in quality, but some were hard to believe they were real. Many were just dull. Also, please have someone who knows how to use apostrophes for possessives proofread your manuscript.

This is a very typical book on ghost stories. One thing I don't like is that it starts off with adds for other books and I think that type of thing, like reviews, should be at the end of the book.

There's a haunted house, a dog sensing something in the room, a haunted locket, a trick-and-treater being, a seance and, unfortunately, an ouija board.

I believe seances are pretty much a waste of time and an ouija board is just inviting trouble. If spirits do exist, and if some of them are highly negative or outright evil then an ouija board used by people for 'fun' is an open invitation to one of the negative spirits to join in.

So, overall, it's an average book.

Not scary. Not adult. These are campfire kid stories akin to goosebumps or are you afraid of the dark. If I had purchased this for my kids, it would have been great. I didn’t though, I got it for me.

Also the author narrates her own audible and she really really really needs to hire a professional narrator or just not do audiobooks. It was awful. I wish I could get my money back.

I loved reading this book. Anything Paranormal intrigues me. I have a whole bunch of books like this lined up to read. If you believe in the Paranormal this is a must read. You won't be sorry. At least I wasnt.
