A thrilling debut
A tightly paced, suspenseful read and a supremely confident debut. The story roars along and I couldn't put it down. The prose is spare yet dripping with wit and character and the world presented seems a chilling reminder of just how close we are to dystopia in some very real ways. Loved it from start to finish.

Dystopic visions
The claustrophobic World created by Seán is replete with the despair you would expect from a dystopia. The characters are strong, but truly understanding their motivation other than a stubborn drive to exist or as puppets of larger forces is an area that would have enriched the narrative, especially with the potential direction at the end.
