Geez Louise!! Phew... Christopher Sinclair delivered the good stuff. After finishing book 1 Burn I had a feeling that he was a determined alpha but what surprised me the most was how big his heart and his love for his wife Arabella was. I recommend reading book 1 Burn just to get to know not only Christopher and Arabella but also to get immersed in this universe.
With how Burn ended, which was emotional and tough, I couldn’t wait to find out the why’s, get answers and hopefully a happy ending.
Scorch is a fabulous romantic suspense with a beautiful love story at its center. Christopher and Arabella are a unit. Unfortunately a unit isn’t always safe. They experience a trauma which changes them forever. Irrevocably. They make certain choices which isn’t necessarily the right ones, especially Arabella who frustrated me numerous times, but what always remained a constant was their love for one another. They hurt each other but it was done out of love and because they were both lost in the wreckage of their trauma.
Christopher and Arabella’s love and connection is palpable and potent leaving no question that they are meant to be together despite their struggles. Christopher is resilient and won’t give up on his marriage. He’s one hot and loving husband who goes all the way for his wife. Swoon alert! Arabella is a great heroine but it took some time for me to warm up to her. Once I figured out her reasons and how she fought for her husband when it was needed I was convinced.
Scorch is all full throttle on the steam, romance and suspense. I needed answers and I got them. The heat and chemistry between the couple was mouthwatering and beyond sizzling.
I expected an entertaining story for Christopher and Arabella and Alexandra Silva delivered. With the epilogue she keeps expanding this world she’s created and I’m excited about where she takes the story and its characters next. Scorch is the perfect title cause damn Christopher was on FIRE.

This was my first read by A Silva, and it certainly won't be my last. I loved these characters, the setting, the suspense, and good lord the steamy scenes!!! This author knows how to write not only the perfect chemistry and passion between two characters, but the STEAM is OFF THE CHARTS!!!
I was glued to this story from start until end. The plot twists, amazing and different characters, and twists and turns are addictive and alluring. Well done A Silva! I look forward to the next!

Once again Alexandra has taken us on a journey full of questions, surprises, suspense and heartfelt passion ❤️
I absolutely adore how fiercely in love Bella and Christopher were. He was a tough, alpha male in the most delicious way, but completely wore his heart on his sleeve where Bella was concerned. I loved the respect and passion he had for his wife. Bella felt the same about her husband and their connection bounced off the pages. Her fierce attitude was admirable, that girl did not back down to anyone! As silly as it sounds, I loved their love story.
Alexandra has given us a lot to think about and many details to take in. There are quite a few characters and you never know who to trust. Needless to say this is a series, so you better buckle up for the crazy. The story continues from book to book so you should start at the beginning of this roller coaster ride with Burn. I'm so excited to see how this all plays out. We know who's next in line and the possibilities of what's to come are endless. I need the next book yesterday....

SCORCH by Alexandra Silva is book Two in the Virtues & Lies Series. This is the story of Christopher and Arabella 'Bella'. I do feel you will love and understand this book better if you read the previous book "Burn" first. Christopher and Arabella are married but choices and mistakes were made that has them apart. Christopher is out to get back what he lost with Arabella. Of course Arabella's heart is with him but choices were made out of protection but still caused hurt.
This series has just been a page turner for me. I love the Alpha male and the strong heroine in these stories. I look forward to one with Casper and Fleur.

This is Christophers and Arabellas story and it's absolutely beautiful. After reading Burn I would've loved Scorch to be a second book about Cassie and Leo, but this is even better😍.
The storyline (with all the twists and turns) continues in book two but you have to deal with another alpha male and his loyal and strong beauty. And they are amazing. The first few pages had me already in tears. Their love for each other so palpable, so pure, so deep. Oh my God, what a couple!!!! But Alexandras couples are always over the top.
There's a lot of action, suspense, darkness but also so much heartbreak and emotions. The writing is absolutely great, I believe every word the author put on these pages. This story is by far not finished and I'm extremely curious about the next book. Giiiimmmeeee!

I thought Burn was an excellent read, that was until I started reading Scorch. This time the story follows Christopher and Arabella, he wants revenge after what happened to his unborn child but after Arabella walks out on him his world is falling apart. He wants his revenge, but he also wants his wife back and Arabella is playing a dangerous game.
Scorch was a great read from start to finish, though I did feel it slowed down a little around the middle that didn't take any of the enjoyment out of the story for me. It was an action-packed read on every page with a lot of chemistry between the couple. I wanted to know more about these two characters after reading Burn, and Scorch certainly didn't disappoint.

Scorch is the second book in the Virtues & Lies series, and even though it's about a different couple, Christopher & Arabella were introduced in Burn as the secondary characters, so I still recommend that you go ahead and read Burn first since you'll get some backstory. Now, they're front & center, and their story is one hell of a emotionally charged journey, of the amazing variety. They're a married couple who had believed that together they can overcome anything, until that anything came along to break them apart. Now, he's determined to get his wife back, but unfortunately, there's a crap ton of secrets which have yet to be revealed. And y'all already know that secrets don't make friends, so there will be quite a bit to get past. Arabella absolutely loves her husband still, but she pulls the worst trick in the book in my opinion, as she unilaterally decides them apart will keep him safe, and of course, he's been kept in the dark. Obviously this means that there's some serious twists in Scorch, and they're of the f-bomb dropping variety, as I didn't see all of them coming. This story is a journey full of feels as Christopher & Arabella are trying to make it back to each other, and I found myself an emotional mess more than once. So, how does it all pan out at the end of the day?! You'll have to hit that one click button to find out, as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Scorch is the second book in the Virtues a& Lies series by Alexandra Silva and boy is this one a hot one. It’s all about the alpha Christopher Sinclair who we meet in the first book and man is he an alpha. Christopher and Arabella are perfect together but can they overcome tragedy…that is the main question in this book. This is all about coming back from a setback and the love is already there, just both characters have to be willing to fight for it and each other.
Christopher and Arabella are great characters, both are strong, dominant and they know their feelings for one another. Like with the first book though, there are a lot of twist and turns in their story which keeps you gripped until the very end. The story keeps you pulled in which is definitely a signature of this series by Alexandra Silva. If you love romantic suspense, then this series is the one for you!

A joyous moment snatched within pages. Heartbreak and intrigue quickly followed. Christopher Sinclair and Arabella Gladstone had it all until they didn’t. And I wanted to know is why. Alexandra Silva’s Scorch, book 2 in the Lies & Virtues series is their story. Even though each book focuses on a separate couple, they are best read in order. Burn (Cassie & Leo’s story and book 1 in the series) sets the stage and cast of players.
Christopher is intense. I don’t know how else to describe him. That intensity is in everything he does especially when it comes to Arabella and his love for her. He is relentless in his pursuit of her and answers he seeks. Arabella is lost but on a mission. She’s fighting to save herself, Christopher and her marriage. Her love for him is just as strong as it ever was but she’s teetering on an edge.
The suspense has you questioning everyone and everything. My advice - take notes because there is a lot going on. The romance and suspense are woven together in a way that has you thinking about every clue that may or may not be on the page. Scenes with Christopher and Arabella are hot one moment and tender the next, beautiful and intimate. I never doubted their connection. So settle in for the journey and enjoy.

Wow! I really enjoyed this book! I loved how Christopher loved Arabella. I was tearing up at the prologue, and full out crying in the first chapter. They walked thru such a painful thing. Both wanted revenge. This book had a lot of characters, and some that even though were on the same side seemed shady to say the least. I loved Bella’s fight she didn’t give up! The sex scenes were hot, but after they were able to laugh at themselves. It just seemed so real. Their chemistry was thru the roof. I didn’t read Burn, but I will be going back to that story. I just can’t get enough of these characters.

Outstanding! Stunning! Just a couple of adjectives to describe this exciting, intense and deeply emotional read. Arabella and Christopher have been through fire and their journey through the consequences of events at the end of Burn, reverberate throughout this book. It is exciting with a rapidly moving plot and takes us further down the rabbit hole of conspiracy and threat.

This is a fantastic romantic suspense read. Packed with plot twists and lies. Heartache and love. These characters definitely don’t have an easy path to their HEA & you’re not sure from one chapter to the next what’s coming. I loved Christopher & how he fought for Arabella.

Christopher and Arabella’s story is my top favorite Alexandra Silva novel! This was utter perfection! It is heartbreakingly beautiful with plenty of suspense and action to keep you engrossed till the very end. The author never ceases to amaze me as she has the ability to write beautiful contemporary romance to this dark, romantic suspense. She has set up the next book in the series perfectly. I recommend you start book 1 in the series today!

After the way Burn ended, I was super anxious to get my hands on Scorch. I needed to know what was going to happen with Anabelle and Christopher so bad, and then when I finally got my hands on it I was kind of scared to even read it. But I couldn't stay chicken for long, I needed answers.
Even though she scares me, Miss Silva gave me my answers for Belles and Christopher. It hurt, as predicted, but I got a little closure.
She also gave me new questions. I'm excited to know more about this crew of billionaires and the secrets of the elite. There is so much scandal, so many secrets- it can't be told in one story. I am LOVING how Silva is telling this tale. Peeking through the different view points as the books release and the overall plot line arcs through the series.
I'm going to reread Burn and then Scorch next. Because my first read of Scorch was *fast* with a tight chest and fragile nerves. So I want to slow down and try to catch more details in this web Alexandra is weaving.
Warnings for this whole series are probably going to remain the same across the board.... Seriously steamy and graphic naughty times, explicit language and violence. And though I wouldn't say the books are cliffhangers, they probably wouldn't stand alone very well and IMHO they should be read in order.

I have been so eager to read this second book, especially after the epic ending in book one-Burn. Once again this author doesn’t disappoint her readers, she has gifted us with a sensational love story and a thrilling suspense that has you on the edge of your seat.
I will admit I was a tad worried going in because Christopher and Arabella’s marriage seemed doomed. I also didn’t warm up to Christopher as much in book one but hold the bus, ah, I have done a complete one eighty and he is a fantastic character and I definitely like him, a lot. He’s a true alpha, very protective and caring but also determined and willing to fight for his love. Arabella I admired, even in book one, I like her inner strength and determination as well. Together they make an awesome couple but finding their way seems impossible.
There is a lot going on in this story and just when you think the pieces of the puzzle are starting to fit up pops another one that needs to be added somewhere, I loved it, the unpredictability is exciting and intriguing. One reason why I gave it all possible stars. Get ready to feel all of the emotions in this book.
Another enjoyable aspect is the gradual build up of the characters, you almost feel like you know them intimately. The descriptions overall are on point and also make you feel like a participant not an observer, another reason for the 5+ star rating

I have so much love for Alexandra Silva's writing. She is one of my favorite authors ever. Christopher and Arabella's story is gripping, devastating at times and very sexy. I love that they are married! It made me connect to them and their story even deeper. Highly recommend!

Wow what a book.
I'm pretty new to alex and my god I wish I had found her sooner!!

If you've taken the time to read BURN, the first book in the Virtues and Lies series, then you'll know Alexandra Silva writes one hell of a steamy romance that will melt your kindle or torch your paperback.
What you really need to know though is, that if BURN was the audience warmer, SCORCH is the incendiary device that will incinerate everything in it's path!
With a superbly detailed storyline that will leave you gripping the edge of your seat, it's intensity and descriptive imagery will leave you breathless and wanting more!
Christopher and Arabella are a red-hot force of nature. Their love is nothing short of legendary.
I can't remember ever reading a couple I love as much as I do these two!
He is all you could ever want in a book hero; alpha to his core but so intense in his love and devotion, he leaves the rest of the male population with a lot to live up to!
And Arabella is a such powerhouse of a woman; admirable, loyal and yet fragile and vulnerable, she is his true soulmate in every way.
But every bond has a weak point; and when they suffer heart breaking loss at the hands of a devious unknown and persistent enemy that is trying to tear theirs and their family's worlds apart, the strength of their love is tested.
With so much going on in this story, you really need to focus closely on the character interactions as the plot unfolds to reveal an even murkier underbelly than is initially perceived.
If you thought the aristocracy had it easy then you haven't been paying attention!!
But at the core of this story is the intense and unmistakable chemistry that this couple share, and when they connect it's nothing short of explosive.
Silva writes some of the most incredibly hot sex scenes I have ever read; but it's more the visceral, palpable passion between these two that make them and their love story such an epic one.
This is a story not to be missed, and has just set fire to this series for me.
I cannot wait for Casper and Fleur's book, and don't even get me started on Freddy.

Scorch follows Burn (book 1) and inter links effortlessly, finding out more and more about the background happenings as you go. I cannot wait to re-enter this dark world she has created when we get to hear about the loyal man giant that is Casper. Write like the wind lady!! ❤

Scorching flipping hot! Painfully flipping difficult! Supremely flipping suspenseful! This book is all that and more. The world that Alexandra Silva started building with Burn, the first book in the Virtues and Lies series begins to take not only colorful shape but also begins to throw us into such a dark political world where no one can be trusted, everyone is dispensable, and all can be used to further an agenda that we still have no real clue about. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and begging for more...so Miss Alexandra...give me more!!

This is book two in the Virtues and Lies series and I have to say that Alexandra Silva is an author for me that keeps going from strength to strength. This book is fast paced thrilling and full of suspense and I couldn't get enough. Christopher brings a whole new meaning to alpha male! He and Arabella were super hot!
I never know where the story's going to go and I love it.
I can't wait to read more from this series!!

This book starts right where Burn book one left off. Christopher and Arabella (Bella) have the kind of love you wish you had for yourself. An event causes them anguish and heartache. They both make not so good choices with Bella's being the craziest. Christopher would not give up on the marriage or Bella. I loved how alpha male he was but also with a soft spot for his wife Bella. These two were smoking hot, Scorch is the perfect title for this book.

Scorch is everything I’ve come to expect from Alexandra Silva and she delivers with a story full of suspense, intrigue, hot as hell chemistry and a love story for the ages. Christopher is the epitome of an alpha, yet taking it up a notch to be so much more. His love for Arabella is never ending and all encompassing. He will move mountains to save his marriage and goes to the extreme to prove it. Arabella is his equal in every way but it took me awhile to like her. Her determination to do anything and everything to keep Christopher safe could be her downfall but once she shows her strength and comes out fighting. These two are the perfect counterparts to one another.
Alexandra ends one story with the begging of another and I can not wait to find out how Casper and Fleur’s story plays out!

Scorch by Alexandra Silva is undeniably one of my favorite reads of the year! It's intensely emotional, packed with chemistry, and heart bracingly good! Christopher and Aribella's journey is raw and real, and completely stole my heart. They're the type of couple you won't soon forget, nor will you want to!
I loved the journey, I adore the writing, and promise you will too! Not only does Alexandra Silva deliver the romance you crave, but also suspense and mystery, with heat for days!
Scorch is best enjoyed when read following Burn, Virtues & Lies book 1.
