Winter loves her psycho boyfriend with his three personalities. But the moment they decide she should choose to be with only one of them, disaster looms.
They're not the only ones with problems. His brother Z, the only one sane enough to hold things together is suddenly stuck babysitting Cat, a random prostitute off the street. And the chains she rattles in him make doing his job difficult.
Meanwhile, with their death business filled with new threats, the diplomatic personality of Bones decides the only sane thing to do is for all of them to stop and enjoy Christmas. But that will take a miracle. Or two. Or ten.
I’m a husband and author, and I may be a little religious about both. I like writing hot sex and encapsulating it in the delicate white silk of devotion, commitment, and psychotic obsession.
I can't even... This series should have ended at book 3, without the appearance of X. Not that I don't like X, the only one I don't like as much is Reggie.
Finally we find out about what their past is. SPOILERS AHEAD:
triplets had for sex ring. didn't read enough details to know whether that was always the plan or some unfortunate woman got roped into it. Anyway, the twins got separated, 1 sold directly into sex trade and was accordingly abused (Bones), 1 got into a good home (became a missionary, but was always abused, so not sure what happened there, didn't read the details - Reginald), 1 was going to get sold but the adopted him kept him and he inherited a bunch of $$ and on her death bed she told him to go save all the children...
Now all 3 bothers are reunited and plotting revenge on Richard, the head of the sex ring. They each have their women.
Reginald Bones Xmas, the long-awaited book 5 in the saga of Reginald Bones, the man with multiple personality disorder and Winter, the woman who loves them all is finally here. When Bones Brothers (book 4) left off, Z had made his shocking announcement, Winter freaked, Reginald was pissed and the Bones crew lost their collective minds. Picking up right where he left off, Lucian Bane allows everyone to take a breather and figure out how they are going to deal with the new realities that each is dealing with but it wouldn't be any fun if there weren't some bumps, bruises, and laughs along the way.
Instead of delving into the madness and evil that was the tragic start of Reginald, Bones, and Z, Bane makes RB Xmas all about the characters. Who they are, why, and the difficulties they have. From Winter juggling the three very distinct personalities, each with their own thoughts wants and needs, all wrapped up the body of the man she loves while trying to come to terms with all the baggage not only Bones but she is carrying. To Reginald and Sally, whose 5-minute courtship leads to misunderstandings and missteps that show that love isn't the only ingredient in a relationship and that they have a lot to learn about each other. Then finally Z and Cat, two determined, headstrong people that need to find balance in their worlds, perhaps with each other.
Every player in this unusual cast is put through their emotional paces. They face heartbreak, fears, and roadblocks; sometimes with grace, sometimes with humor, and sometimes with pain. Mr. Bane doesn't spare his characters from the intense wringers they must face becoming better people, so be sure to have tissues handy, though he does give them some well-deserved breaks with scorchingly hot scenes, guaranteed to bring on a sweat, hysterical scenes that only he could think up (rock, paper, scissors ~ you'll see) and a sweet ending around the Christmas tree.
The Reginald Bones journey is far from finished with clues to what is coming sprinkled here and there but Xmas will leave you with a more vivid picture of who the brothers and the women who love them are.
If you have not read the first four books of this series, what are you waiting for?! This entire series has blown my mind! This book has everything! It’s so sexy; you cannot even fathom how sexy this is. You have to experience it yourself! The story is so intricately designed and complex. It’s told so well that it’s easy to follow and get balls deep into it. Parts are scary, parts are romantic and deep. Not to be left out is this adorable amount of cheese that makes me crack a smile each time. Just WOW! How on God’s earth does Lucian Bane come up with these perfect stories!! I have to read it again!
Because it needs to be to read this book. The series is superbly written and this book really seems to wrap a lot of issues up. It is quite the journey to keep up with the one man and his different personas, then add in his physical brothers and their love interests and you hav utter madness that makes perfect sense in the end. Lucien Bane is wonderful writer that brings you into this crazy world, leaves you twisted and loving it to the end! Five stars!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟What a great addition to the Bones Brothers collection. I just can't seem to get enough of this multiple personality man. This is such a wonderful series. I have read and reread it several times. You can't help but to fall in love with these crazy characters. And that is exactly what happened to Winter when she meets Reginald and Bones. Do yourself a favor and read this series you won't be disappointed. Mr. Bane has outdone himself with this story.
Excellent read with this book in the Reginald Bones series. The characters and personalities come alive and love with you from this series. Each brother could easily qualify for their individual book in this series. I highly recommend any of the Lucian Bane books to adult only readers.
I LOVE this series!! The story just keeps getting crazier, but in a good way! Bones, Reggie, X, Reginald, Z, Winter and the gang will not disappoint. I can't wait to see how Mr. Bane will end this series. These characters have truly become the crazy pack of friends that have never had.
Christmas was complete with all my favourite characters so much going on and some exciting turns loved it, will be eagerly waiting for the next installment.
You are really going to make me wait!!! Well hurry up. I can’t wait to read what happens next. I am sure a lot more deeper and darker with a happy ending.
Bones Brothers is one of my fav reads. Such a dark and twisted story that keeps you on the edge of your seat to see what’s going to happen next. Surprises at every turn.
Lucian Bane does it again! But then I'd expect nothing less. The three faces of Bones are cooperating with one another. Z figures out he's free to love and Cat finds she's worth loving. Winter wrangles a trio and SaLly and Reginald learn to love around their self imposed boundaries.
I love how they all bonded as a unit with a common cause. Well written, thought provoking and hot. What a combination. Bring on BB3!!
I loved this storyline from the beginning and this book didn't disappoint. The dynamic is unlike any story I have read before. The banter between the characters is some of the best !ines. This author gives such depth to his characters that you begin to feel like you have known them forever.
