Catharsis, a collection of poems by Basim Khan. Talking about mental illnesses through poems and reflecting life issues and what we face today as millennials through the dark part aspect of life.
Amazing book. Basim Khan has put my thoughts and feelings into paper so accurately, I couldn’t have expressed them better myself. I would recommend this book especially for people who write as a means of catharsis such as myself. My only problem with this book is that it had to end.
This book touched me from its very first words. Each time Im about to finish reading a poem a flash of dopamine hits my brain as it somehow really enjoys it. I’m glad this kind of darkness is expressed in such a beautiful truthful soul-eating way.
Never thought I’d relate myself to a collection of poems, a journey that took me throughout my years and helped me acknowledge the change I’ve went through.
This collection of poems the poet talk about the time he had to face the darkness. He depicted his struggle going through the darkness and what it felt like when he finally found the light.
I started this book in 2019 and put it down because it felt a little too much for me. However, when I picked it up recently I found peace solace and serenity going through this book. This book helped me deal with some unwonted emotions and got me through a dark moment of my life.
“ I write of my regret That I’m not your perfect lamb” was just spot on
