A Hidden Truth is the third episode in the Broken Wand Academy serie by Marisa Claire, David R. Bernstein and Jenetta Penner. I really am loving this series. Great characters, very real. Can't wait for the next episode.

Love it!!! 💖
Although the book felt a little rush and it was short for my liking, it was amazing, I need more NOW!!! 😩... Meena keeps discovering baffling things and abilities, while trying to fit into this new world, with a new unexpected boyfriend, mixed feelings toward another guy and a bully witch that won't let her alone 😑🙄🤦♀️... now she had a vision that shaked her to the core 😳🤯... I need the next book NOW!!!💞

Starting to think this isn’t much of a romance or a slowburn… just a fantasy series. However I’ve now finished Episode 3 in the same day I finished Episode 2 so we’re on the way to being done. No spoilers; though is you’re this far in looking for reviews you’re probably after some.
The plot - same plot as Episodes 1 and 2. Magic school, girl who’s never heard of magic before, learning to exist in a world with magic, magic school is very secretive and dangerous, FMC can’t just mind her damned business. The cliffhanger, for this one was a lot more interesting than the last two, I will say. However, that doesn’t change the fact that I’ve read three of these books, approximately 600 pages(?) and I have not gotten any closer to finding a resolution. I have a feeling that I will not find the answers I seek in this series. So if you’re looking for guidance on whether to continue, I’ll say this: I’m going to at least read Episode 4 because I want to see if there is a resolution to this part of the series or not. So… go to episode 4 to know if it’s worth it or not, I guess.
The characters - I found that I hated a lot more of the characters in this episode than the previous. Dash really bugs the fuck out of me despite the fact that I’m sure he’s a really nice lad. Still like Meena, still think she’s a dumbass but what’s new?

Dramatic and hilarious continuation of this captivating academy series.
Meena is a newbie, and it still shows up in all the things she has no clue about, getting her into more screw ups than she'd like. However, as she keeps discovering all the secrets and lies that surround her life and the academy, she starts to realize the complexity of the magical world she lives in and the seriousness of the situation.
I couldn't stop laughing once Meena ended up with her unexpected boyfriend, and was picturing her face at every gesture. Man, this is total fun. I don't know what I'd do in her place. Moreover, there is something deep developing between her and Braden, although it's only simmering under the surface and bordering on friendship. That guy has definitely a pull, but his attitude.. heh, I'd love to see what comes out of this. With all the usual high school drama and less usual magical elements, political scheming and quests for power, I definitely want to see more of this series and soon .

This book picks up right were the second left off, but with many more questions. Meena is trying to figure out who is after the students or was it just the one, and she wants/needs to know more information on her grandmother and mom. This book was just as hard to put down as the other and it left you with questions like the others but different questions, like what did she see about her mom in the telescope. I love this series and hope you all do too. I had the audio version with very talented Chaleeya Yeh narrating and if you choose this format you will love it just as much as Ms. Yeh will throw you right into the story and have you trying to help Meena yourself.

Storyline is good
The storyline keeps me turning the pages. Becoming disappointed in the main character really. She is so gullible. But I suppose she has to be allowed to grow throughout the course of the book. Three stories in and the authors barely hint about Meena's mother. Just tell us already. Relieved that there is a 4th book so maybe there's hope. A lot of editing issues peppered throughout but not enough to hinder the flow of the story.

Well, Hell ... Meena got and lost a family gift in the same evening. Meena seems to find herself in the most interesting situations, an accidental boyfriend, a confrontation with Serenity in the Arena and
Henchmen in Braeden's room that chase her into the woods.
Being a Proteus, a Drifter seems to be taking a real toll on Meena. She finds out she can tap into all sorts of Magic and even see the past. What will happen in Episode 4?

Budding romances are not exactly as the characters picture they will be, and our MC is still having massive trust issues not to mentioning growing pains. If a mistake in judgment can be made, it seems that would be the case. I am invested now and just have to see where this leads. Still a very easy recommend for academy fans. All my reviews are always voluntarily written.

A good story with good characters, only makes for a good read. The writing can be slow in places and sometimes hard to push through. Over all it was a good read and I will read the next in the series.

This is the best episode in the series so far. Exciting and fun, MInah's adventure is getting darker and her life is getting complicated. The narrator's voice seems to have smoothed out and less stiff when not voicing characters.

it’s all coming together!
I love how these witches are starting to tie together with the shifters!! I love that these books are “bite sized” so I can binge them with ease. And the character and plot development still has me all a-flutter!

In this 3rd episode, Meena continues to jump in with two feet without thinking of the consequences but yet manages to come out semi-scathed. Meena continues to find out who killed the student and why? And through this episode she is still searching for information about her mother, and what about her grandmother. We are teased with some answers that lead to more questions and then we have Meena's nemesis, Serenity who continues to try to get Meena. We also have some questionable professors. What do they know about Meena and her family? What about the unwanted romance who just happens to be the head of the school's Aunt. There is so much action, magic and secrets that Meena has to wade through and her friends want to help if they can. We are left with a major cliff hanger when Meena, the last to see through the telescope has a vision of how her mother died. But who was that voice? Why did her mother die like that. Wow, so many questions, so few answers...I can't wait for the next episode! I LOVE this series and as soon as I finish one, I can't wait for more! I received and ARC but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Very exciting, as the first two were. Love the imagination and continuing story! There were more mistakes in this one or I'd have given it a 5 star rating. There were just too many for me to ignore this time.

This is such a great series. It's fun, entertaining and witty. I love the interaction between Serenity and Meena and the whole accidental relationship was hilarious. I definitely need more of Oliver too. I can't wait to see where this is all leading too.

How not to attract attention.. do everything that does!.. there are no outside excursions the principal won’t find out about.. how can a tall, broad shouldered hunk turn in to a bit of a physical say we say challenged overnight? Nothing is at seems in the Broken Wand Academy.. Meena starts to find hidden truths about her mother, her grandmother and the dubious people around her.. she must create a motto “trust no one but yourself” the authors that came together to create this series certainly know how to keep you on your toes, create mystery, suspense, suspicion and lies plus your favourite “Magic” !! You won’t be disappointed in this episode of The Broken Wand Academy as we see the other side of people and the nastiness of others.. if I was Meena, I would run, not stop until I got to safety.. is there such a place where magic is involved ? Waiting with anticipation for the next instalment of this illustrious series

This series continues to be entertaining and engaging. I am hooked. From the continuation of the previous book to a nail-biting cliffhanger ending, I love this series. I only wish these were actual novels instead of "episodes" - the only reason being that the series is so good, it is hard to read just a tantalizing little bit and then have to wait for the next one.
I will definitely be re-reading the series in one go once it is complete.

Wow! This series just keeps getting better and better! Meena has only been at Broken Wand Academy for a few days, yet has found herself in a handful of scrapes already. This episode introduces the mystery behind Meena’s mother. And a love triangle is blossoming. Drama? Check! Adventure? Check! Mystery? Check! This series has all of that and more.

For me, the first third of the story went rather poorly. Meena seems to be desperate for love as the story resumes. But things pick up when she joins Serenity for the study group. Eventually, the story comes to a rousing finish.
People continue to treat Meena as though she knows about the magic world even though they also know that she was raised ignorant of it. Well, all except for Serenity, who, from previous portions of the story, does her best to capitalize on Meena's ignorance.
Action-packed. Entertaining. Great world building. Haunting. Twisted.

Meena is still trying to find out the truth about the dead student. The deeper she gets, she has to conclude that the witches in the school, or at least most of them, including the teachers, just might be crazy, and not above murder. Of course, she has also started to think that her proximity to crazy just might cause her own insanity.
Wow, these characters just keep getting better, some of them get even more twisted. I love it! Surprising, and unexpected twists in the plot that keep you guessing. Fantastic read, I am looking forward to the next book.

Wow, just as I got into the story the episode ended. I'm left with questions and I will be excited to read more. Now that the introductions are done and our main characters have given us a hint of themselves, the story is forming. So many questions come forth as new facts are presented. The author knows how to keep you coming back for more while continuing with the twists and turns. New information and knowledge present itself and at the end of this latest episode. I"m looking forward to the next episode !

It’s almost comical how Meena gets herself in unfortunate or unexpected situations. More mystery and magic continues in this episode. The ‘hidden truth’ is exposed and throws we the readers, as well as Meena, for a loop. It was a total surprise. I’m anxious to find out what Meena does next in the upcoming episode of Broken Wand Academy. A very entertaining read.

The story goes on seamlessly, with more secrets and intrigue. It is very well written, easy to read. I did not put the book down. It was one page to the next never dull. Family secrets come out And new unexpected happenings begin. Totally recommend.
