Samantha Snow has written a 5-star book that is book 2 of the House of Dragons. In this book, Cami learns more about the prophecy and her part in it.
Cami took all the powers from the Elders at the end of book 1. As book 2 picks up, the Elders have removed Cami from the Overtons and locked her up for taking their powers. The Elders want Cami to stay locked up until her transformation and comes into her powers in 2 weeks. The Elders have stopped the Overtons from seeing Cami, but not the Egan's. Both families are part of the prophecy in one way or another. The Egan's want the Overtons out of it. The Overtons and Egan's have been fighting each other for years and no one remembers what the reason was for the fighting. The Egan's are allowed to see Cami and all they talk about is trying to talk the Elders into letting her go, but so far nothing has been done. The Overtons have come up with a plan to get Cami out and to her father's home where once she is there, the Elders can't touch her. Dylan Overton is the one who gets Cami out of the room she was in and out of the building, when they get to her home they are stopped at the gate by 2 of the Egan's. Dylan tells them they need to get her in the house before the Elders come. All 4 go into the house and after a few minutes, they hear someone come up. The person that came is the seer Cassandra and a few people with her. Cassandra tells Cami how to handle the Elders when they get there. She is told by the Elders, that she can stay there but she will have to have one each from the Overtons and Egan's to stay with her. This is fine until her first transformation into her dragon. Everything goes fine until Cami turns into her dragon for the first time, then Cassandra tells her what she will need to do as far as the Elders are concerned. When her meeting with the Elders comes, she tells them that she wants to stop with the babysitters, she wants to stay by herself at her home. The Elders want her to bond with someone from each of the Overtons and Egan's. She tells them they are too late, she is pregnant and she doesn't know from who. The Egan's come up with a plan to remove the Overtons from Cami, but they figure it out.
This was a book full of twists, turns, betrayals and it will keep you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens.
To get the full backstory you will need to read the first book.
I would recommend this book to anyone.
I received an ARC for my voluntarily and honest review.

This book has lots of twists and turns and betrayals as two dragon families try to fulfill the prophecies while they continue fighting each other in the feud between the Egans and the Overtons that has been going on for so long they no longer know how it started! The Elders are hoping to keep Cami locked up until her powers come in. But she is assisted in an escape by Dylan Overton and goes back to her father’s house. She is told by the Elders when they arrive that she can stay there but she has to allow dragons from both the Overton and Egan families to stay with her. By the time the Elders try to direct her bonding once again, she tells them she is already pregnant. Which side has fathered the child? Who will she choose to be with her? And will further prophecy cause changes in everything all around?

There is a great deal of action packed into this story, so be sure to grab your copy and see who gets their way in this struggle. There are many surprises for the reader along the way! Is there any room for compromise?

I didn't like this book. For starters this is supposed to be RH, but there is zero connection between Cami and any of the guys. There is tons of posturing, political intrigues,Elders being difficult just for the sake of creating drama and two families plotting and scheming about Cami as if she is a thing- money bag, power well etc. Nobody cares about anyones feelings and gives zero f..ks about Camis choices and wishes. By this point I freely admit that I hate the dragon world author created and I dislike all 8 guys from both family. I also dislike Cami strongly. She basically encites all the unrest and conflicts by openly sleeping around without any thought, even when she well knows that it will create even more of a problems she claims to want to stay out of. Very unpleasant female character. Her supposed backbone and independence shows as her inability and unwillingness to make any decisions or getting on anyones bad side.

So, yes, this was a terrible follow up after the first book and boring ,and unpleasant to read as well.

I enjoyed reading this intriguing dragon shifter reverse harem romance & the continuation from the first book into this book is smooth & flawless. It has a well-written, interesting plot with good scene descriptions & world building. The characters are well-developed with good chemistry between them & the some of the male characters actually develop a tentative camaraderie between themselves.
There is: the last surviving member & female dragon shifter of the Keane clan (Camille aka Cami) needs to make a few choices between the two feuding clans (the Egans) & (the Overtons), Elders, dragon shifters, a seer, rivalry, political issues, twists & turns, drama, intrigue, magic, adventure, action, deceit, betrayal, devious plans, trust issues, manipulations, prophecies, compromises, disagreements, suspicions, truthfulness, apologies, transformation/shifting, defiance, violence, conflict & a unsanctioned battle, sadly this book does end in a cliffhanger.

Dragons Dragons Dragons

Well I absolutely loved book one in this series, so I went on to read book 2 in the series only to find out there is a book 3 ( not out yet ) with a huge cliffhanger Uggggg . Soooooo to be truthful the book was a little slow and I had a hard time finishing it. I will probably at least try to read book 3 mainly because of the cliffhanger lol but I have to be honest about the book so .... it’s a 3 star at most but definitely had potential to be a 5 , there is just to rambling between the characters as if the author wasn’t sure how to express how she wanted the plot to play out . But it’s just my opinion so check it out for yourself book 1 is free and in kindle unlimited.

***SPOILERS***

I felt like this whole book was one giant pissing contest. I was getting exhausted from reading about how either clan was going to win Cami over. I am sure this is how she probably feels about their feud. I honestly had trouble liking any part of it which is quite a bit of the book. The fact that Cami is now pregnant with one of their kids doesn't surprise me but it is frustrating because now she doesn't even want to really mate with any of them at the moment. Which is valid. I appreciate the perspectives but it is almost too much of the same kind of guy at the moment. The only ones I like at the moment are Alistar and Gabriel. I am hoping I get more answers from the third book.

Not quite 3 & 1/2 stars.
I didn't know what to expect from this book after book 1. This picked up almost right where book 1 left off. Cami is left to negotiate the political aspects of being a dragon while having her powers negated by being imprisoned by the consul for fear of her powers. I didn't feel this flowed well, it was hindered by a bunch of things & her being imprisoned didn't help, even if it was a fancy apartment. I did like the back & forth between the clans trying to get Cami on their side to a degree, until the one clan gets a bit too zealous with things. The ending was a definite cliff-hanger, and I'm not sure how she will deal with all those stupid male dragons & their attitudes. I will read the next book, but I hope it improves, as I'm kind of on the fence right now about this series.

I do not like Cami

I am having a really hard time with the dragons books. Like in every other book before even though the protagonist have had multiple lovers I could see and feel the live, like Blair with Dominic he kept betraying her and what not but she love him so. Camille is plain slut, oh I am not picking but I want everyone to get along, girl the end of this book is totally on you. I have hard time with other lines of stories like Fenn killing one of his brother and his ex lover when he saw them together but he is fine in sharing with other 5 guys now, just weird. And Jessica story felt incomplete, even though so fat was my favorite.

Egans vs Overtons. Who will win Cami? Cami has been imprisoned and then released to her own estate. The Egans and Overtons come to visit her. She has now been with three of the Overtons and one of the Egans. Who will she take as her mate? And then the Seer Cassandra shows up with more prophecy. Cami is destined to have several children but with different clans? So how can she choose her mate or mates? She likes all eight of them. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I received this book as part of a box set including all three books.
The book starts off with Cami being held by the Elders, for their protection. The political high jinks continue. As Camille comes into her abilities and becomes a dragon, the Egans and Overtons continue to battle, with almost devastating consequences. At this point, Cami is not sure if even her pregnancy will resolve it.
All in all a good story.

it’s like a new author has taken over

I’m not sure what happened but from the last badly rushed set of stories to this one, it’s like night and day. The spice is still a little rushed but at least it isn’t completely forgotten. Minor things like Elijah not actually consummating from the last book seems to have been forgotten but overall I’m way more into this story because my brain doesn’t have to fix a million mistakes as in previous books in the series.

I need more of this story. I hope part 3 comes out soon. Cami has alot to learn about her dragon but you still have her having to choice her mate. This story was good but had way to much talk about the dragon politics. You get the jest of it but its does drag on a bit. These Cliffhangers are killing me I need to know what happens.

House of dragons 2 is continuation of first and has cliffhanger for 3. A bit confusing at times, has point of view from nine different characters. Besides that story is engaging with intrigue, betrayal, violence, and passion.

Ugh

So there is nothing about building a relationship between these characters it is all who can get her pregnant first. It’s less political than he first book but there is no getting to know her or her getting to know the guys, no relationship building just all of the want to get her pregnant and don’t care who they hurt or step on to do it.

This book has more conversations and confusion then the previous which was actually a good read. I couldn’t even finish this book, it’s hard enough keeping 8 guys straight then the author mixes up names and it just throws it all in the trash. If she can’t keep them straight then perhaps she should of stopped adding! DNF

I liked the idea of the story. I felt like the characters weren't developed well. Even the usual character traits each had changed up on the second book. Also i feel like Camille is a little too mean and defiant at times. Rude even. I just don't feel she evolves in the story. However I love the creativity of the story overall. It's not your typical love story.

Book two in The Cami Bakersfield Saga series a well written story with a great storyline the story flowed smoothly from page to page. Once I started reading I was not putting it down until I was finished, but it does leave you with a cliff-hanger. I want to read the next book.

Holy Cow

Wow I knew something major was gonna happening but that cliff hanger....yep another one was huge. I'm glad we got to see she came into being a full dragon. Still have major questions and more got added to it. I'm hoping it will stop with just 3 books. I need answers.

Shows dragons can be as stupid as humans

Well after seeing the look on Pelosi's face it tells me that dragons are as stupid. There is continuance to book 2 but I think I will pass. Reminds me how dumb we are.

The dragons are boring and it's the same old same old. Politics and scheming. Miss the vampires. The girls act like spoiled brats. 🙄 I'm gonna skip to the last chapter of each one until the dragons are done.
