Family binds them. And family can tear them apart.

When three childhood friends enter into a relationship, the troubles of their past threaten to break them apart. Can their love survive?

Dalton
Dalton’s father always told him love was between a man and a woman. So when he develops feelings for his two childhood friends—one of them male—he is confused by his attraction. But despite his harsh upbringing, being with Zander and Mel feels right. Will he dodge his father’s rage if the truth comes out?

Zander
A fighter at heart, Zander will stop at nothing to protect the ones he loves. Mel and Zander are his family, and he will face anyone who comes between them, even if injured. So when his family is threatened, he doesn’t hesitate—he fights. But will Zander have the strength to win? Or will he lose them both?

Mel
When Mel learns that Dalton and Zander are in love with her and want to bring her into their blossoming relationship, she hesitates. As an asexual, she’s unsure how it would work. And heart isn’t her own to give—her stepfather made sure. Trapped as a pawn in her stepfather’s quest for power, Mel keeps quiet about her stepfather’s plans. But despite her reluctance, she grows closer to the men, knowing that loving them both could, at best, break her heart and worst, get them both killed.

The Perfect Cloud is a stand alone novel with a menage, polyamorous storyline. It is intended for a mature audience due to the presence of consensual sex, group sex, M/M scenes, and adult language. While this is a love story, it may not be right for all readers.

This book is sooo personal for me so where do I start? First, I loved Mel. I was over the moon about a female asexual character who ends up in a poly/reverse harem relationship. This is probably the closest I have ever felt to a character and it was refreshing to not be constantly reading about a characters oversexed thoughts, not that I mind most of the time, but being asexual it was really nice to read about a character who was similar to me in sexuality. I like that Mel was not sex repulsed or cold as that's the most common stereotype of an asexual. It was great that the boys really took the time to learn about her and then never go beyond what she was comfortable with. The boys, Dalton and Zander, were likable. And I am gonna need to find me a Dalton or Zander of my own to have my own harem. I enjoyed watching the relationships between each of them evolve as separate and a whole triad. Again as someone who is polyamorous it's so rare to see such a good representation of a poly style relationship in a book. And my heart is so happy to see two things that are such a part of me be represented in a book and one that is so well done. The story captivated me and I didn't want to put it down. It was sweet, steamy, and full of surprises. I was sad when it ended. I also caught the feels with the family struggles presented in the book. Overall I can't say when I have enjoyed a book so much on such a deep level. Will definitely be one of the few books I reread over and over and recommend to everyone I know.

*I received an arc. However, this review is based solely on my own opinions.

An unconventional romance to most people but to me it was just a story about three friends who found a way of loving each other for who they are regardless of what others think about it. Yes its sexual but its a beautiful story with genuine characters i just loved. Each with their own hardships in their lives that should harden them but in fact it made them more compassionate and loving toward each other. Absolutely amazing book that i loved immensely

This is a harrowing tale of a beautiful relationship built on friendship, love and loyalty. This is the first book I have had the pleasure of reading that has done justice for the LGBTQA+ community, especially in highlighting what it means to be asexual. This story ran the spectrum of emotions and writing from 3 different POVs was just amazing. It takes skill to create 3 main characters and be able to explore the relationship and individual growth from each MC. This is a must read.

Wow

I received an ARC for an honest review
This was a great book lots of first for me the MC is A-sexual and it’s actually the men who hook up first. The characters are so real and it’s interesting interesting seeing how the 3 characters love develops and grows. Very well written and looking forward to seeing more by this author.

I like that the female character is asexual. I've never felt represented before, so that was nice. I just feel like this was way more angsty than what I was in the mood for. I knew there was gonna be angst from the beginning, but I wasn't ready for the amount.
Also, I just don't know how much I care about the characters. Sure, they're nice... And that's it.

The storyline was pretty good. The only thing was the adult time dialogue, it was a little immature and actually turned me off. If you can get past that, it has great main and secondary characters.

This isn’t a book I would normally pick up. A friend asked me to read it, and I did. This wasn’t a normal romance and that kept me intrigued. I haven’t read romances involving asexual or homosexuality before. However I was impressed with the way the story was told. The author offers no judgement for or against any type of lifestyle and that appeals to me. C. Cato made me care for the main characters and root for them throughout the book.

I would recommend this book for people that are wanting to read a romance that isn’t the typical boy meets girl. This is about best friends and love.

Loved the story, and I read it in one sitting. Just a few typos in the middle that jolted me out of it a bit

I am not the biggest fan of contemporary romances. I prefer urban fantasy and paranormal. But, this was amazing. First, it has an asexual character, but one that still likes the act of sex. And I haven't seen that represented before and It felt reaffirming to see it in a book. Second, its about finding out who the ones you love are and making a family. And this did it perfectly. I almost had happy tears at the end. It was just so fantastic. I honestly loved everything about it.

There was tension, figuring out how a three way relationship works, finding out that you are a male attracted to one specific male and the emotions and coming to terms that that involves. It handled everything so perfectly and realistically, I never really fell out of the book.

I'm definitely keeping up with this author.

The title is very fitting, it is a "Perfect" menage love story. This book is filled with lots of love and feel good moments, but also has a bit of a dark side. Their story isn't always easy and they have to go through some difficult times, but in the end they have to rely on the bond the three of them have to get them to the other side. Your heart will break and be mended throughout this emotional love story! This book shows just how beautiful love can be and that it may come in different forms! Grab this book and settle in for a beautiful story of three great characters who aren't perfect, but are perfect together!

This is not like your typical romance book that you would usually read.

For starters, Mel (the heroine) is an asexual character.
But she finds love in a menage relationship.
Or, maybe a triad?
However you want to classify it, it was interesting to read about.
And it started with friendship to build into something more.

It's a sweet, yet steamy, read with several surprises with each turn of the page.

Told from each of the characters point of view gives the readers a very rounded story line.
We get to see how everyone involved is handling the relationship.
As well as insecurities and other problems from within.

Overall, I enjoyed the book.

What a great story about 3 friends whose love for each other gets them through the toughest times of their lives. This book has such a different premise to it, not like other menege books out there and I love that they are all new to this sort of thing and show apprehension. They work up to these new experiences instead of just wham bam thank you mam! I also love that it was a complete story in a standalone book, sometimes it's nice to get the instant gratification instead of waiting around for the next book in a series!! Again, great book and recommend it to everyone 🤩

The Perfect Cloud by C Cato is a great story of the trials and tribulations of a romance between three friends. It’s well written, honest and gritty with a depth that is surprisingly enjoyable. There’s action aplenty with terrible consequences for Dalton, Zander and Mel but there’s also plenty of really sweet moments along with spicy hot goodness. It’s a M / M / F story from an asexual point of view, none of which impacts on this great read.

Crying happy tears!

This beautiful story brought me out of a slump. It was so beautifully written that I could only see it as a movie. The ups and downs of this throuple weren’t too fluffy or unrealistic. They had real issues to overcome, real disagreements, and real insecurities. Overcoming all of their issues was wonderful to watch (or read). I can’t wait for what Cato comes out with next.

It was unusual and a really good read but for me it was far from perfect. I prefer relationship building as a focus of the story. Here, we entered the story with them already loving each other, albeit quietly, and the book was more focused on the managing sexual aspects of the relationship (asexuality and accepting bisexuality). It was not bad per se but not something I look for or prefer in a book. I liked the secondary characters and would haved liked to see them more.

The Perfect Cloud is a beautiful, unusual story of three unlikely people who are in love and find a way to make a relationship work for them. While I'm aware of asexuality, this book gave me an inside look into the minds of people who think/identify differently about themselves than I do. The writing was so real and the characters flawed enough I couldn't help but empathize with their struggles and successes. Very well done.
