Once again Atcho faces the evil terrorist Klaus who is committed to destroying Atcho and his family, and using his stolen atomic bombs to bring down the United States. He is working with Osama bin laden's terrorist group and the Hezbollah, who have joined forces to attack their common enemies. The writing is smooth and clear, and both old and new characters are very realistic. Suspense builds through the story as government forces plant their heads firmly in the sand. While this story is a continuation, the author includes enough background to make the book freestanding. However I recommend these books be read in order. I was an advanced reader for this book and decided to leave a review because I really enjoyed it. All the good guys are people you want to know.

I received an Advance Reader Copy of Lee Jackson’s Target New York from the publisher and chose to provide this review. To be honest, this was my first book by Lee Jackson, but it won’t be my last, in fact after I finished Target New York, I went looking for other books he has written and imagine my surprise when I learned Target New York was the filth in a series. This book was so well written that I really thought it was a stand-alone story about terrorists being hunted by government/contract agents. It has very well-developed characters whose backstories were briefly mentioned throughout the story. I’m hooked and fully intend on going back and reading the first four stories to immerse myself in those earlier stories.

The tension remains high in the fifth installment of the Reluctant Assassin series as Atcho and his team seek to locate and stop a Chechen Muslim terrorist before he strikes again. The stakes are high since the next attack may involve a nuclear device. The suspense in this story is heightened by the backdrop of the February 1993 World Trade Center bombing. The narrative maintains a steady pace as the storyline moves between the United States, South America, Europe, and the Middle East. Overall, this book was very entertaining.

Atcho is back...and has America's back.

NYC has become the hotbed. A terrorist is targeting the World Trade Center. But it's more than the target, it's personal. The twists and turns are clever, as are both the cat and mouse.
Author Lee Jackson has another action-packed winner in this 5th of the Reluctant Assassin series. It also reads fine as a standalone due to the author's re-introduction of key characters and events.

By book 5, the plot has become monotonous & boring. Atcho is once again the lone cowboy who jumps in as the undercover private civilian to take down klaus. It’s so predictable. I hope to never see another book in this series.

Outstanding!! It pulls you in.

I was initially put off by it focusing the Cuba invasion and "Atcho" but within a couple of chapters I was hooked. I read all five books.

Target New York. Lee Jackson

Unfortunately, the last book in this magnificent series. True historical figures as well as fictional are mentioned throughout this book as well as the previous books in this series. Most of the terrorist strikes actually occurred. Atcho and his wife Sophia survived, walking wounded Mentally and physically. Many of their comrades did not. Again a stupendous five book series. My highest recommendation!!!
