An entertaining and challenging diversion
Authors collectively titled Game Nest (much like Activity Nest!) have created a fine, new collection of ‘game books’ that restore that need to make entertainment educational! Their instructions for fine games to pass the time could not be better timed. These books are just the ticket for using time at home to be both fun and learning experiences. Their game books to date include BRIDGE FOR BEGINNERS, CRYPTOGRAMS, YAHTZEE, BUNCO, and 5 CROWN SCORE SHEETS, and WORD SEARCH PUZZLES, such as BIBLE WORD SEARCH 101 PUZZLES. Now they add SUDOKU PUZZLES
For those unfamiliar with the term, Sudoku is a logic-based, combinatorial number placement puzzle. Or as better explained by the authors, ‘Sudoku is a basic puzzle game that comes in a variety of difficulties. Start with our easy puzzles and work your way up to expert. In every puzzle you will be given a 9X9 grid. Each column has nine squares and each row has nine squares. The goal is to fill the 9X9 grid with numbers so that every column, every row, and every 3X3 grid that makes up the larger grid contains the numbers 1 to 9.’ After instructing the gamer on how to solve puzzles (very clearly!) the puzzles begin. The solutions to each puzzle are given at book’s end.
Given that set of instructions, what follows is a list of puzzles that become progressively more challenging - just the sort of tasking that calms the mind from the events of the world at present!
