Love 💘 the cover, it was the reason that I borrowed this KU novella in the first place but this super HOT and STEAMY read was just okay for me.
I don't really mind this authors totally OTT alpha males and the whole Insta-love thing so much, it's just that her heroines tend to come across as slightly pathetic and spineless IMO and that just doesn't sit well with me - I did read a 2nd quickie novella by this author following this one and it just confirmed my opinion and feelings about her books.
Also , I am not personally a fan of the whole breeding thing in smutty novellas so I think I will pass on anymore reads by Olivia Turner at this time.

OMG that was one hot and steamy read something that you can devour in one sitting.
Mindy is being forced to drive a car to Miami for her boss, she knows that everything isn’t on the up and up but knows that she has little choice but to do as she has been told. Singing along to her radio and not paying attention to her speed she is pulled over by the police, terrified about what is about to happen and what they are about to find, will Mindy end up in handcuffs but will it be for crime or punishment?
Owen is a cop that catches sight of a car speeding on the highway and after running the plates and discovering that its registered to a wanted man decides to bring him in, his shock is apparent instead of a major crime boss he finds a woman that will own his heart forever and its not long before he is showing how much he owns her, but when danger comes looking for her will he be able to protect her or will he lose her for good?
Although I enjoyed this book and believe me some of the scenes were like seriously hot there wasn’t as much of a connection between the main characters that you usually get when ready Ms Turner and it seemed a little rushed, But in saying that I would read this again and I did enjoy the book.

Lets start off with this is a short easy dirty read.. next thing..
As much as i enjoyed the smut.. and plot of the story.. men in uniform lordsss hawtt!! But there's one thing that annoyed the fuck out me!!
OWEN CALLING HER JAILBAIT ALLLLLL THE TIME!! some might think thats a cute nickname.. but honestly it isn't... i could have handled maybe once or 3 times.. but it was said 29 times... yes i counted it...
I'm stop myself from ranting.. and give you the rest of the review.. Mindy didnt really know what she was doing driving her boss car to another state.. he been an ass towards her since Mindys sister dumped.. she gets pulled over by Owen and he is already sprunggg!! Like he gets rid of the car that has cocaine in it.. but he gives her a chance to leave never see him again.. but she doesn't he saved her from jail.. so she wants him.. and the steam is hottt. But drama is coming thanks to the ex boss..

Another over the top story, but this time we get a cop and a sweet innocent girl that has no idea what she is getting into.
I have to say that I do enjoy an over the top male that turns all alpha and stuff but this one was a little much for even me. That's why I went to four stars.

I think I should’ve read the preview and truly listened to the reviews that said this was ridiculous.
Basically this is instalove on speed, with an absolutely over the top cop (I would consider some of his actions abusive and creepy) and an 18 year old doe-eyed heroine. It was a novella, so nothing was really developed. There was one secondary character who was the evil villain. And the H talked about coating her womb with his seed, which I always find so weird that its hard to continue...
But more than that, his nickname for her is jailbait. So gross.
And the last epilogue is 40 years into the future which you have to assume makes the H in his 70s...and it describes them having a quickie in the garage during a family party where she describes him getting just as hard as when he was younger. I laughed hysterically. He was a caricature of a man.
Not sure who would love this, but definitely not me.

Mindy trabaja para un imbécil pero es un imbécil peligroso así que no puede salir de una manera fácil de este embrollo. Su último encargo es que conduzca un coche hasta Miami. Parecía fácil hasta que un policía la para y revisa el coche.
Owen está detrás del jefe de Mindy pero cuando ve a la inocente mujer todos sus instintos protectores salen a la luz. Ha jurado servir y proteger, pero antes que nada protegerá a su mujer.
Como dice la autora en su dedicatoria: VIVAN LOS HOMBRES DE UNIFORMEEEEEE!!!! JAJAJAJAJAJJA. Bueno dejando al margen mi lapsus mental, obviamente es un libro cuanto menos exagerado y absurdo, ultra hiper mega instalove, protagonista cavernícola macho alfa del tamaño de un armario empotrado que no acaba con él ni las balas. Ella es una chica inocente que se enamora del grandote policía que la quiere cuidar y blablabla. Y qué pasa? QUE ME ENCANTA!!! Es absurdo pero me encanta para pasar el rato, apenas tiene drama y siempre dan final feliz y muchos bebés! 😁 Recomendada para pasar el ratito!

Todo va bien hasta que su hermana se enrolla con él, las cosas terminan mal y ella termina trabajando gratis debido a que él se niega a pagarle. Es así como esta chica inocente de 19 años termina en una travesía peligrosa teniendo que manejar un auto con el baúl sellado a través de cuatro estados.
Obvio, Mindy está muerta de miedo, para alejar sus miedos decide desinhibirse y cantar a todo pulmón "sorry not sorry" y pisar el acelerador. Es así como termina siendo detenida por un oficial de policía llamado Owen. Claro, Mindy piensa que el baúl está lleno de "papeleo" y Owen descubre que hay suficientes drogas como para ser encarcelada y botar la llave por el resto de su vida. Así que llegan a un acuerdo beneficioso para ambos: Él la salva pero a cambio ella será de él de por vida.
La cosa es que es un libro de OTT así que está lleno de pasión y amor instalove que te hará babear, definitivamente una fantasía erótica muy bien escrita.
Además posee escenas de acción que me sorprendieron gratamente.

Owen, Owen, Owen....*sigh* What an amazingly OTT hero. As soon as he sets sights on Mindy, the heroine, he goes from law enforcing straight arrow police officer to evidence hiding, law breaking Neanderthal in pursuit of her. I totally loved it and almost everything about this book.
The only thing I would have liked was if the heroine was slightly older. I read this trope for the insta love and OTT aspect of the heroes; not the taboo skirting age of the heroines. I feel that the heroine can be 21 and just as innocent, sweet and available to the life changing dominance of the heroes.

I feel that the heroine can be 21 and just as innocent, sweet and available to the life changing dominance of the heroes.

Seems like a dark dream! Love his character but hers not so much. Interesting concept having a dirty cop as the hero.... attracted to a younger girl on first sight who he keeps calling jailbait! The plot could be better, having him fight them on there own turf rather than them all storming into his home one at a time?

Wow one hot cop
Mindy gets pulled over whilst driving her boss’s car with a boot lid sealed shut but she doesn’t know what’s in it just that she needs to deliver the car and if she fails to do so he will find her and when he does it won’t be good. Owen gets a hit on the number plates of the car so he pulls it over he was expecting Mr Kirk the driving he’s got felonies for drug smuggling but instead their is this young beautiful girl at the steering wheel but she is in a world of trouble when they find out what’s in the boot. Luckily for Mindy this hot cop is hot for her in a alpha man way obsessive,
possessive but protective and will treat her well she won’t want for anything after he deals his idea of punishment out on her. Mindy actually loves her punishment and from their they are married within days but the past finds them but Owen is their and her protector nothing and no one is getting to his girl.

Murder happy cop and barely legal teen
This has Turner's classic over-the-top jealous, obsessive guy, Owen, who basically kidnaps or coerces just-turned-18-and-still-a-virgin Mindy to go with him because he catches her with a car full of bad substances. I'm giving this one 3 stars because I couldn't feel the romance in it. He felt obsessive in an ownership way, and she went along for the ride because her nether regions pulsed. Still, if that's your jam, then you'll enjoy this. No cheating, no cliffhanger, there's an HEA with an epilogue 40 years later (!).

So this was great! However, I kind of wish we would've gotten to see if Mindy's sister was safe. I would think someone who was willing to let Mindy travel with that much in drugs would maybe go after a family member...especially an ex who dumped him.
Owen has dedicated his life to his career. He's made it his mission to serve and protect and has never let anything or anyone get in the way to become a distraction. That is until Mindy is the woman he's stopping rather than a wanted drug dealer. Now Owen's sole mission is to protect and keep Mindy for his own. He'll protect his woman and punish her when the time calls.

One of the best shorter novellas I've read. Usually there isn't much of a plot to the shorty stories but this one was perfect. Lots of sexy hot scenes, danger and drama, and special moments.
