Not my cup of tea. A sort of thriller with caper.

Sophie, in a dead end job and looking for a happy ever after, means gorgeous April. They seem to hit if off and all that but I didn’t quite see how or why. Then LOTS of stuff happens. There wasn’t enough feels for it to be a romance. And not enough thrill to be a thriller. There’s plenty of banter and sort of humour - and if that hits the right note for you then you are in for a treat. I guess you can tell from the rating that it hit a bum note for me....

Two women on the run - said was a comedy but NW's humour passed me by - but a pleasant enough read which never felt dangerous. Totally WTF but, shrug, enjoyed it.

I personally loved this fun romp. Yeah it's a little corny at times, but I loved the British humour and setting.

The characters were great, there was no actual sex scenes just fade to black / skip to the next morning type stuff, but you still felt the connection and chemistry of these mains.

Sophie was wonderfully confident and quick witted even in the face of adversity.

‘I’m already great, whatever I do. Even if I fail utterly.’

It was a good try. Not the best I've seen from West. Too many eye rolls from this reader. One thing I'd caution the author though, that is if they even read this, is that the structure was entirely too predictable. Like clockwork when something good happens it is immediately is followed with something equally bad. That predictability in structure will not do you any favors. I kinda lost interest in the last 1/4 of the book because of many things, and that was a major reason.

This was so entertaining from start to end, and hilarious too. Sophie cracks me up with her wit and banter, and April... I just want to give the girl a hug. Lost and Found is choice as bruv!

Fun book

Sure the plot would be laughed at if it appeared in a soap opera, but it was such a cute book that's completely forgiven

When Sophie and April begin dating, they know they are in something meaningful, but then April disappears without any warning leaving Sophie despondent. Two years later when a friend sees April in a distant town, Sophie immediately drives there to confront her. That confrontation, and the explanation April provides, sets off a series of dangerous encounters for the two who are now running from April's past.

This is a creative plot, and more in the romantic suspense genre than pure romance since the focus of the book, especially the second half, isn't the coming together of the MCs. It held my attention and while there was some humorous dialogue, I wouldn't call it a comedy.

Danger, drama, and derring do

Whew! This is a fast paced, action jammed skid through a crime lady's devious search for the one who *almost* got away.

April was oblivious to the family "business", until she wasn't. Fleeing for her life, she runs right into the arms of Sophie, whose normal, boring life just got a lot less predictable. A foiled kidnapping, a close brush with the family hit man, and April is running again. Two years ago April outran Sophie, but this time Sophie's life is in danger, too - and Sophie isn't running anywhere without April... no matter how deadly the gang closing in on them proves to be.

Humor is what happens when you know THIS can’t be happening.

What happens if you fall in love but then the most unexpected things keep happening? Can you help but question this version of reality? Then what happens when these unexpected things get dangerous and completely out of control? You find the one thing you know is real and hang on for dear life, knowing that one day when your story it told, it is going to be a laugh riot! Just like this book, full of twists and turns and laughs and love.

Exciting although unrealistic story!

I loved the chemistry between April and Sophie. I loved how the story began and how it was unfolding but there were too many times it went over the top. There were too many loose ends that were important for us to know and it was just bypassed. This was a poor representation of the witness protection program. However I appreciated the love that the two had and were holding on to as they were trying to survive. Not Natasha West best.

A nice romance and a weird family of criminals

You fall in love with someone in witness protection programme(she didn't tell you that) and she disappears. First thought is she foted you then your best friend happens to see her somewhere else in her travels,. From there it becomes a farce of witness protection running away from the bad guys and mild slapstick. It does have romance in a bad situation and lots of plot twists and spoiler an HEA. It was a fun well based read.

This one's a keeper!

This book is so much fun. There's not a dull moment. I found Sophie and April both to be delightful characters. I had a hard time putting it down. Natasha West has really come through with a thoroughly enjoyable tale.
I erased the rest of my remarks to avoid being a spoiler.

This was an okay read, but it felt like the book couldn’t decide whether to be a romance or a crime novel and ended up not doing with genre real justice. I liked the writing though, it was nice and sharp, so I’m interested to see what the author will do with the romance novel of hers I’ve got lined up.

Really really like this one.

Humour, action, suspense, WLW. What more could you ask for. A well written story with lots of twists (that don’t seem contrived) and the requisite happy ending. Very happy I read this book.

Not as good as some others. Witness protection element was exciting but didn't feel... true?
Frankly just didn't enjoy crime parts.

I haven’t read in years and this was the book that got be back into reading. I enjoyed the romance to it because it wasn’t over the top and cringey like a lot of romantic books, their relationship was really quite beautiful and easy to read. I very much enjoyed the humour and I look forward to reading more of the author’s books in the future.
