read pp.11-16 for UCL Concepts and Contexts week 2

Glad I read it because I had only read parts of it in grad school. Definitely easy to see where most modern archival theory originates though some things certainly have changed since the 1950s. This book also reinforced my background as a special collections or manuscripts processor, not a records archivist, so it was good to get a solid review of the principles behind governmental archives.
