I love this book so much. I couldn’t put this book down when I started it. There were so many secrets and twists. One of the best books I’ve ever read.

Zelina
By: Stephanie Faye

This is a debut novel for the author and I think the writing shows that. I liked the two main characters but there were spelling errors and the descriptions seemed choppy.
I think this would be good for middle school or young readers. There were no romantic feelings or inappropriate language and the magic concept was interesting. I look forward to book 2 so I can get more answers, there was a lot left unknown in the first book.

This was a sweet, refreshing YA fantasy. The magic system was fascinating, and this author does a great job of writing characters with whom you can feel a connection. Reading about kids and teenagers going through such struggles always pulls on my heartstrings, and this book did just that. I'm very intrigued with the story and can't wait to see where it goes from here! Definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys a good, not-so-super-heavy fantasy.

Good characters and a fun read

This is a fun read if you like YA books. It has a magical, fantasy, almost supernatural bent with teen characters dealing with real life emotions in fantastic world settings. I thought the main character had a few inconsistencies that bothered me at first, but she is developing better as the book progressed. That is where I gave it a 4 instead of a 5. I believe Middle Schoolmwill love this along with any teens or adults who love YA fantasy.

The Author was in my favorite bookshop signing books. After asking her about the story I was intrigued and of course bought a copy which she cheerfully signed for me. I really enjoyed this easy read. It’s a real page turner. Its target audience is slightly younger than me, but I enjoyed it so much I ordered the 2nd Glyph and am excitedly waiting to continue the story.

I have strived to read more books this year, and this book was just what I needed. :-)
