This was an easy read done in one sitting.
Lacey is permanently a singleton having no time for men in her life, she’s trying to build a solid career and getting ready to start her new job in the new year but that is until her best friend signs her up to a new dating app, deciding to take a chance and accept a date with AdMan, after all why not it’s New Year’s Eve. After the date and night of her dreams she doesn’t think he will want her to stick around and runs, but how will she react when her first day at work the man she gave her virginity to is actually her new boss and is making it perfectly clear that what they shared was never going to be a one night thing?
Smith is married to his job and has never had time for a relationship, but when his brother signs him up for “ On Call “ the app he’s just set up he is shocked to find himself attracted to Sunshine and manages to get her to agree to a date. It was meant to be a single date but after meeting Lacey he knows he will never let her go, she’s his one but when he wakes up and finds her gone he’s shocked but not as shocked as finding her as his newest employee but now she found her again he is going to make it clear that that they will be together. Can he get her to believe in them?
Great quick read and I’m really hoping that Rachel and Charlie get a book. Safe and sweet.

Super sweet
This was a super sexy and sweet tale! Loved Smith and Lacey. Smith never gave up, even when Lacey got cold feet. Smith was incredibly adorable and patient, his faith in their love never wavered.

First book that I have read from this author duo and I really enjoyed it. Smith and Lacey were such a cute couple together. They met on a dating app and when they first met, the chemistry and attraction between them was instant and hot. Loved the dual epilogues.

Good
I really enjoyed this story. Smith and his sunshine were a match made in heaven. There seemed to be a few inconsistencies in the story that threw me off and I thought would have been picked up on but otherwise it was a really good read.

I got this as an ARC read. And for a honest answer.
Lacey has been slightly pushed into going on one blind date that her best friend signed her up for on a dating app on new years eve, to have fun and just get laid or talk something. So she chats with Smith another who like Lacey is busy with work and doing this as a favor to his brother who made the dating app.
They meet and its cute and goes 0 to 100!! But the morning after Lacey feels like maybe he truly doesn't want forever just a one night. Which is far from it. Smith is on the verge of a panic attack since she hasnt answered any of his text messages until he spots his sunshine at his office. She is now a worker of his.
Now he gots to convince Lacey he is 10000% truthful and wants forever.
No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary chara, sexy times, both virgins

And when Lacey runs off before Smith wakes he thinks he may have lost his chance at the one. Little does he know he will be seeing her really soon. Lacey is the new hire at his business and when Smith sets his eyes on his sunshine once again there is no stopping the determined man. He will have to wait though cause Lacey is playing hard to get. Good thing he is playing for keeps. This is a sweet and fun love story with an extra sweet HEA.

Short, quick read of insta-love. They meet on a dating app and agree to one date. That date went so well that they spent all night together, but in the morning Lacey got cold feet and snuck out. Later that day, she starts her new job and low and behold, her hot hook-up is her new boss! Smith is not about to let her slip through his fingers despite her skittish behavior and he slowly wins her over. I love how Smith never got angry with Lacey for pulling away, he had a steady, calming presence and would just slowly reel her back in. They made a sweet couple and I'm happy they got their HEA.

Could have been better
I guess I can overlook a handsome, successful 30 year old being a virgin that knows exactly what he's doing his first time. However, there were several inconsistencies that made me wonder who proofread this.
At first Rachel and Lacey have been friends for 21 years and met when they were 4, leading me to believe Lacey is 25. Then a few chapters later Rachel stated Lacey has waited 23 years to lose her virginity.
Lacey slips out on the morning of New Year's day and starts her new job the next day. From Smith's POV , he wakes up without Lacey and then goes to work that morning and she's there.
On their 1st date, Lacey said she never drinks. Then she's telling Rachel to come over to her place and bring wine (although no mention of her drinking any). During dinner with Smith and his brother at Lacey's place, Rachel is drinking her (Lacey) wine. Why does she have wine?

A New Year's Eve to remember
A great new year's treat from Aria & Mila!
Smith & Lacey's story is a combination of so many of my favorites: dating app connection, holiday romance (new year's), surprise boss / office romance, a rich successful businessman, and an insta-love connection with enough chemistry to set my Kindle on fire!
I absolutely adored that while Smith moved things along quickly and it seemed like it was going to be a super fast race to their HEA; when it came down to it and Lacey needed time, needed to see the truth in what Smith said he did slow down...WAY down, and took it at her speed. That is a major book boyfriend win for me.

This is an amazing book that really makes me sad it was over. Lacey is pressured into going on a date from an app she agrees to go out once and it turns out to be the best decision she ever made. Smith is also pressured because his brother is the creator of the app, but once he sees the picture of the small red headed, freckled woman he knows he can't turn away. Through some twists and a few bumps, Lacey finally believes Smith is not changing his mind. This is a double virgin, sweet talking, man in love with a shy homebody and they fit together like the strands of pasta they love.

I really enjoyed this. Sweet and sexy. My favorite kind of quickly read. One little thing. If you’re going to have a 30 yo virgin H or even h, I need some sort of explanation. I can suspend reality for insta-love ridiculousness but for some reason these older virgins I can’t separate reality. I have no problem with them being virgins it is in the realm of possibilities but I need a why. Religious? Sexually Repressed? Rough Childhood? There has to be a reason. Someone doesn’t get to 30 and just think; whoops I guess I’ve never had sex before. Reason...I need one.

Loved this New Year's romance!!
Lacey gets talked into an on line dating app by her best friend and ends up with a date for New Year's. Smith's brother developed a dating app and got him set up on it which got him a date with his "Sunshine". Too bad it ends up that Smith is Lacey's new boss and now he needs to convince her that what they have can last. This is a great read and I highly recommend it!

I admire writers and can only imagine how hard it is to put your ideas on paper and get yourself vulnerable to other people’s ratings. However, as a reader I look for books that are at least proofread, which was not the case here.
If there were only continuation problems or a thin plot, I could’ve enjoyed it more. Maybe if the smut was at least decent, but not even that. The way it was, it felt like a draft.

I wonder what became of Smith's brother and Lacey's beat friend. I saw from the first meeting Smith was not letting Lacey go far, although she gave him the slip. I loved how they waited to have kids, but then they had them back to back.
