The Happy Crazy Love Boxed Set: Three Standalone Romances

Escape with three sexy, romantic, full-length and feel-good love stories, along with never-before-published extended epilogues for each book!

In Some Sort of Happy, you’ll fall hard for tortured hero Sebastian right alongside feisty, down-on-her-luck Skylar Nixon, who’s returned to her small hometown to make a fresh start. Can she convince him to open his bruised and guarded heart?

In Some Sort of Crazy, you’ll laugh and swoon as Natalie Nixon finds herself falling head over heels for her adorably funny and sexy (but seriously commitment-phobic) childhood friend Miles. Will he get over his fear of forever in time to win her over?

In Some Sort of Love, you’ll meet hot bearded single dad Levi, whose devotion to his autistic son (not to mention his deliciously dirty mouth) steals Jillian Nixon’s heart. When he worries he can never give her enough time or attention, can she convince him he’s everything she’ll ever need?

Get ready to laugh and sometimes cry with the three amazing Nixon sisters

A great series, and even better in this box set with bonus epilogues for each book. All three books are about unconditional love that runs deep. The characters are perfectly imperfect, and each couple must deal with issues that could be insurmountable. But love with the right one is what makes a relationship work.

“We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly,”

Get ready to laugh and sometimes cry with the three Nixon sisters on their journey to HEA.

SOME SORT OF HAPPY - 5 steamy stars

Beautiful story of true, unconditional love, and please don't let the negative reviews deter you from picking this book.

This is a heart wrenching story of two people, seemingly perfect on the outside but so humanely imperfect on the inside. It is also a beautiful story of real, not superficial, love that runs deep.

"Loving someone doesn't mean you have to love everything they do. But it does mean you forgive them a little more often, a little more easily."

At the center of this story is Sebastian's OCD and how it affects not only his life, but Skylar's as well. I loved that this was told from dual POVs. Knowing Sebastian's thoughts was so important to the story. The writing is so good I could feel Sebastian's torture, conflict, and pain. There were times I thought my heart would break with words such as this: "Skylar Nixon could be the one woman who was strong enough, sweet enough, forgiving enough to be mine. The thought was both terrifying and beautiful."

Yes, the subject matter that is part of this is both difficult and disturbing at times, but don't let that keep you from reading this beautifully written and atypical love story. Highly recommended.

SOME SORT OF CRAZY - 4 steamy stars

This is not as heart wrenching as book 1, nor is the subject matter as serious. This is a lighter read, but still so good with the light-hearted, sometimes Peter-Pan-ish, Miles and his endearing ways. Miles and Natalie's story sizzles and is funny at times and then so sweet with a very satisfying end.

SOME SORT OF LOVE - 5 steamy stars

Another great story in this series of real, unconditional love, despite unusual challenges that can often derail a relationship. Jillian and Levi's circumstances will tug at your heart and probably bring a tear or two to your eyes, but so worth it to see their journey to a sweet, happy ending.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

There are 3 books in this box set:
* Some Sort of Happy--Sebastian & Skylar's story
* Some Sort of Crazy--Miles & Natalie's story
* Some Sort of Love--Levi & Jillian's story

I loved the three Nixon sisters. They were each strong; they fought for what they wanted and deserved without being b!tchy, especially when it came to love.

These stories are so well-written. I felt like, not only did I know these characters, but I could feel all of what they were going through.

The male leads had one thing in common-- for various reasons, each one pushed away the woman he loved:
* Sebastian thought his OCD and anxiety were too much for anyone to deal with; he'd rather push Skylar away now than be devastated later when she left him.

* Miles was known for being something of a player and writing a column detailing his sexual exploits. He didn't do "feelings" and "emotions"...at least he didn't until his friendship with Natalie turned into something else...something that terrified him and caused him to push her away.

*Levi is a single father to a son, Scotty, who has autism. Levi is not only afraid to let anyone into his and Scotty's lives, but for some reason, he is riddled with guilt and feels he is undeserving of love...so he pushes Jillian away.

I was really drawn into Sebastian's and Levi's stories. The way their struggles with mental and neurological issues (respectively) were written made my heart ache.

Even with the angst, these stories had great humor and were super hot! I would recommend these books individually or as a box set.

Melanie Harlow has fast become one of my favorite authors. After reading these books, check out her Cloverleigh Farms series...set in the same place, but with a different family of sisters.

Some Sort of Happy
This was a sweet and sexy story. Skylar comes back to her home town after failing to achieve her dreams and is trying to figure out what she wants to do with her life. Sebastian has OCD and struggles on a daily bases to deal with his illness. These two on the surface are an unlikely couple but loved watching them support and bring out the best in each other. I also like that this book showed the struggles of a mental illness and that there are good and bad days. I was also excited that Mia and Lucas from Frenched make appearances in this book.

Some Sort of Crazy
Another great and steamy book by Melanie Harlow. Natalie and Miles have been friends since they were kids when Miles’s family would visit. As the grew up, there was an attraction but she had a boyfriend and he didn’t do girlfriends. This is a great story to watch Natalie be a bit more spontaneous and Miles to realize that a relationship is an option when it is with her.

Some sort of Love
This is the final book of the Nixon sisters. Jillian has been focused on her career but now that her sisters have found their loves, she sees that part is missing from her life. Levi’s focus has been to be the best dad to his special needs son. This is one of the steamiest stories by Melanie Harlow. I love how devoted Levi is to his son and how he needs to learn that it is ok for him to have a life himself. This was a sweet story with a lot of steam.

Perfect Box Set

This set is just the sort of thing I love- three sisters working through relationship problems and sexy men who have to battle issues with OCD, commitment fears and a child with autism, respectively, to get to their happy endings. I really enjoyed each story and I am sorry to say goodbye to the characters.

Some Sort of Happy
**4.5 stars**
This was my first read by Melanie Harlow, and I had heard good things about this particular book. I went in a little blind, both with the story and with the author's writing style. As far as the story, I found it easy to be inside both character's heads and really liked how well they worked together, or didn't work together in some ways. These two were made for each other and watching their journey was really entertaining to me. Responsibilities kept me from reading this in one sitting, which caused me to be thinking about this book when I had to break around the half way point. The story was very reminiscent of Loving the White Liar by Kate Stewart. The main male character has ADHD instead of OCD like Sebastian, but it was very familiar watching the struggles and trying to make the somewhat day-to-day aspects of a relationship work. I was really rooting for this couple and not just because of the super sexy bedroom scenes. Initially, I found myself slowing down my reading speed to get a feel for the writing style from this author. Some of her phrasing was cut short to me and later I found myself skipping over certain areas where too much description was given about things that weren't truly important to the scene or story. The rest of this series is already on my kindle, so I'm hoping it helps me get a better feel for the author's writing style.

Some Sort of Crazy
**5 Stars**
I really loved this storyline about Natalie with her life planned out, getting her world rocked by that childhood friend that always made her wonder "what if". His unashamedly crude comments broke the tension and brought out a more spontaneous side to her. Miles exudes sex and confidence, only adding to the chemistry and fantasy type whirlwind these two experience. Told in dual POV, Some Sort of Crazy was a fun ride of letting go, growing feelings, delicious steam sessions, and HEA. It's not necessary to read Skylar Nixon's story in Some Sort of Happy prior to this second installment, although it's another cute read and recommended.

Some Sort of Love
**5 stars**

Jillian is the last of her sisters to find love, something that's made clear at the latest family affair. Luckily her night is consumed by Levi, a former flame from college she stumbles into at the party. I liked that there wasn't drama involved with their previous parting of ways, so it made it easy to rekindle. He's a single father now, and his inner guilt over giving his special needs son the attention he requires and trying to balance whatever is growing with Jillian weighs heavily on him. I loved seeing both sides of the struggle in this dual POV story. The chemistry was still there after over a decade apart, making for some delicious steamy sessions. The expected HEA finishes up this book and rounds out this recommended series.

I purchased the box set so my reviews will be for each book in the set.

Book 1 is Sebastian and Skylar. From the beginning I fell for Sebastian. Sebastian suffers from severe OCD as well as other fears and rationalizations. You cone to find that he has known Skylar since the 4th grade and probably been in love with her since then. Unfortunately, Sebastian does not believe in “the one” or HEA because of his issues. He doesn’t feel that anyone would stick it out for the long term, oh they may say they will but he knows and he doesn’t blame them. Skylar left her small town with visions of stardom. Things didn’t work out and she found herself back home and basically eating crow because of her choices. Fate steps in and the chemistry is hot from the start. However Sebastian doesn’t know how to act because he is sabotaging “them” to save her when he is really saving himself! Will Skylar be able to make him see past his fears? Enjoy the ride it is a bumpy one!

Book 2 is Natalie and introducing Mile’s story. Natalie and Mile’s have know each other for over 20 years and we’re great friends. Mile’s came up to his family summer house every year and they did everything together. Mile’s didn’t feel like he was a relationship white picket fence type of guy. He just wanted to have fun! Natalie always loved Mile’s but didn’t realize it until she lost him because they were both stubborn and felt they each knew what they wanted and how it was supposed to be. Well they were both wrong. Grab some tissues and enjoy the ride! Onto the last book in the set.

Book 3 is Jillian, Levi and Scotty
Jillian and Levi met back in college had a romp in the closet and that was it. Levi was Scotty’s son from a previous relationship. Scotty suffered from autism and Levi pushed everyone away to care for his sons needs ahead of his own. He felt nobody would understand and would leave just like Scotty’s mom did until Jillian appeared back in his life and he started questioning his logic. Although, he was stubborn and refused to admit he was handling it wrong until he almost lost Jillian. Their story is full of love and lots of tears so have your tissues ready. The only sad part of this series is this book should have been the first because at the e d of Natalie and Miles you know the outcome. I also think Jillian should have adopted Scotty. But it doesn’t effect my rating!

Reviewed books 1 and 2 separately. Really fun, touching, witty, and different set of stories. Men dealing with real life struggles. Women willing to step up and out to help find the love they all deserve.
Well edited.

Book 3 - Some Sort of Love
Jillian is the oldest Nixon sister and a successful pediatrician. She's watched her sisters find love, and is wondering a little where her HEA is. At Skylar's wedding reception, she literally runs into Levi. He's an architect and a friend of Sebastian's. He's also the hot hook-up from college. What are the chances? They reconnect. But life has changed for Levi. He's got a son. And, his son is on the autism spectrum. Levi tries to balance it all - his son, his son's needs, and dating Jillian. He has some guilt and a fear of not being enough. How can he give Jillian everything when his son needs so much? Will he sabotage their relationship to prove he isn't enough and she won't stay? Will Jillian be able to get him to combine his role as dad with his role as boyfriend? Will Scotty be able to accept a new person in their life?

This is a great conclusion to the Nixon sisters adventures in love. We get more of Skylar and Sebastian as well as a peak at their wedding. We get more of Natalie and Miles, as well as peak at their Christmas surprise and their new son. So much goodness. Real life issues are addressed in such a thoughtful and beautiful way. Enjoy!

Loved these stories!! It's great to read individual stories of a whole family and the Nixon sisters did not disappoint! Melanie tackled a lot of sensitive subjects like OCD and autism very humbly and gracefully in this series. I loved all three books! It's a great read. I highly recommend it!! It was great reading about the sisters happily ever afters!!

Steamy sex, heartbreak, romance, laughter, tears, and happy endings. Three sisters find “the one”. Good, fast, sex-filled read. Some language may be inappropriate for sensitive readers. You have been warned so please don’t get it and rate it low because of sex and language.

A very good read

All three books were well written. Book three had the steamiest sex. All the couples had great chemistry and their relationships progressed at a good pace. Best of all, all three books ended with an HEA.

This was a great series.

Melanie Harlow has done a wonderful job of writhing a series on the complexities of relationships and how love does not care about our flaws, it finds away to grow and strengthen.

I just finished this series, and I know that I will want to read it again in the future.

The characters came alive for me, and it was impossible not to feel both their pains and their joys.
