Pumpkin Hollow Mystery #8

Candy Kisses and a Killer

Rate this book
“Amanda, stop worrying about the wedding preparations. You’ve got the best caterer in town. What could go wrong?” I asked her. Turns out, everything.

Mia's best friend is getting married, but when the caterer turns up dead, she'll have to employ her friends and family members to help with the celebration. While a wedding should be something celebrated, things can get tricky when murder is afoot. Can Mia help pull off a wedding and catch a killer, too?

Halloween is celebrated all year long in Pumpkin Hollow. There are no paranormal elements, just good clean fun! And a murder, of course.

CANDY KISSES AND A KILLER was a fun cozy mystery in the Pumpkin Hollow series, which are novella length mysteries with a Halloween theme. In this book, Mia Jordan and her sister Christy have been helping plan a wedding for a friend, but the caterer turns up dead. There were lots of old high school rivalries in this one. These are short, fun mysteries that are easy to read in an hour or two. 4/5 stars.

Great book!!!!!

I love this series!!!!
Mia and Christy are helping her best friend Amanda plan her wedding, they are going through her check list, Christy says she couldn't get a hold of the caterer for two days, they decide to go see the caterer Erica Jiohnson. When they arrived it was not what they had wanted to be. What happened to Erica to be where she ended up. Who was angry enough?
Mia had called Ethan, so not only do they have to deal with getting food together in three days for the wedding reception, they have to find out who got rid of the caterer. There was quite a few suspects to question and they had very good motives!!!!
Now read this book to find out!!!!!
You won't be disappointed!!!!

As you can well imagine, I loved this book. It's part of one of my favorite series by this author (who is one of my favorite authors). I was happy to get back to Pumpkin Hollow and spend some time there.

If I had only one complaint about the book, it would be that it centered around a wedding (which is really logical in the series and the book), and I'm not really one of those people who loves a wedding and wedding planning.

That, of course, has nothing to do with the author or the book, it's only my personal preferences. It will certainly not deter me from reading the next book (which is not wedding themed), nor will it keep me from recommending this series (and this book) to anyone who likes light, culinary-themed cozies!

Another great cozy read this one is about the death of a town caterer, Erica . This happens just before Amanda and Brians wedding. Everyone pitches together to get everything done while Mia and Christy do their thing to help Brian. I highly recommend this series.

Great series

I really enjoy the series. It's a perfect time to have started them, since the setting is Pumpkin Hallow and every day Halloween is celebrated! I feel like I know the characters & really enjoy reading about them.

I really enjoyed this pumpkin hollow book. I really enjoyed when the two sisters work together. I hope to see more of that in future stories

Amanda’s wedding

Did not start out like planned. The caterer was murdered and they had to scramble for food. But Mia’s nosiness figured out who the killer was.
