Well thought out plot with good flow and and amazing main characters.

While reading the other Trident books Tahira was never really on my radar and I never considered her for her own story; thank goodness the author showed me how wrong I was.

Darius “Batman” Knight did intrigue me, former teammate and all, but I didn’t have a burning desire to get to know him, there were a couple of others that I was a little more curious about. Again I was proved wrong and his character just grabbed a hold of my heart.

Whatever you do make sure you read the latest installment in the Trident series.

This is the latest installment of Trident Security Omega Series!

A modern day fairy tale with HEA that is very believable. Ms. Cole is a soulful writer who tells a story from the heart. She writes strong female characters who can hold her ground but still exemplifies her femininity. You're not going to see a damsel in distress like your typical fairy tale here. Expect a story with mystery and suspense woven into a love story and healing for both characters who have to battle their inner wills to accept that they are meant for each other.

If you're looking for a heartwarming story, this hits the mark. Take a chance and come into Ms. Cole's world, your heart will thank you!

Fans of Samantha Cole have been waiting for another book from her and the wait has ended with the beautifully written story of Darius and Princess Tahira. The story made me go through all the emotions. Darius is undercover, trying to take down a human trafficking ring and Princess Tahira is heading out for a vacation before she must chose a husband. While there, her and her two cousins are kidnapped by the same people Darius is working for "under cover". The story is heartbreaking and when things get out of control, Darius takes charge. Will his decision cost him his job? There are twists and turns and surprises along the way and, once again, I was blown away and caught off guard by one fact!!! WOW!!! The only other thing I'm going to say is if you are a fan of Samantha's Trident Security series, you will love this book!!

I loved what Samantha did here with this story. It had my attention as soon as I saw her name on the cover and if you’ve read the previous books in this series you will know what I am talking about. Samantha’s attention to detail is incredible. She never does things half way.

This story just grabbed me, from the opening pages I was hooked. Darius is part of Omega Team that is part of Trident Security. All members are either former Navy Seals or currently serving. Nearly all of them are Dominants and in committed relationships. Darius is not part of the lifestyle, he has nothing against it, it just hasn’t interested him. While working undercover in Argentina he finds himself in a completely explosive situation. Posing as a playboy with money to burn and working with a drug lord who has a penchant for trafficking innocent woman into the sex slavery ring he comes across Princess Tahira and her two cousins in the dungeon of the mansion he is staying in. He has done security detail for her before when she has visited the States with her family. He got to know her and found she wasn’t the spoilt woman they’d first all encountered. She has grown up and matured and wasn’t the young woman they all used to avoid and being assigned as her security detail.

Seeing her like this, scared, he vows to do all he can to get her out. He knows he can’t allow her to see him for fear of blowing his cover his only mission now is to get word to his other team mates that the mission has now changed. They need to get these woman out before the auction.

Princess Tahira has no clue who has taken them. All she knows is waking up cold with her cousins in a cell. There are other woman here also in the same situation. All have been drugged and kept here. She knows her cousins are scared and she will do all she can to protect them.

When Darius manages to get word to his team-mates they know they need to move fast before this becomes a diplomatic incident. But when he gets back there he fears he may have been too late for the princess. Rescuing her he does all he can but he knows something was taken from her she will never get back. Vowing he will do all he can to protect her he puts his plan into action.

Princess Tahira is broken, she fears what will become of her. The life she had mapped out is gone. The fear of being ostracised is a reality that she now faces. When Darius offers her hope she can’t help but be moved and takes what he offers.

From here it’s non-stop. This man is absolutely incredible. His honour, integrity and strength is something Samantha delivers on in spades.

The twists and turns in this story keep you guessing right to the end.

Another fantastic read that delves in the BDSM lifestyle with the utmost care. Her knowledge and research into the lifestyle is a journey all on its own. Forget what you’ve read before or any movie that tends to glamourise it. Samantha is only a handful of authors I’ve read who have been spot on in what there writing about. It’s informative and its real. The dynamics involved in a D/s relationship is quiet moving. The trust alone is something that I crave. And when you find an author who takes the time to write it well you tend to keep them on your one-click list.

An absolute must read.

This book will start out keeping you on the edge of your seat from the get go! Princess Tahira has become a part of the Trident Security Family. Batman unexpectedly becomes the one person who has to save her from a situation out of any person’s nightmares. Their path to happily ever after is certainly not smooth and is full of suspense, action, heartache and love. You will fall in love with Darius, and you will admire and adore Tahira. Together with the Trident team you will be taken on an adventure that will leave you on the edge of your seat and waiting for more! I love this series and cannot wait for the next book!

Another fantastic addition to the Trident Security series. If you haven’t read Ms. Cole’s Trident series you are truly missing out in my humble opinion. Her writing style one of my favorites and her storylines are always inventive and full of suspense, romance, emotions and fun. This is especially true in Forty Days and One Knight.

This is Darius “Batman” Knight’s story. He is a former Navy Seal who is now employed by Trident Security. His current op has him undercover in a cartel suspected of kidnapping women for the slave market. His mission turns into a FUBAR when he spots Princess Tahira and her cousins in one of the prison cells. From here the story takes off and held me spellbound and flipping pages to see what happens next.

I fell in love with Darius and Tahira. Watching their journey is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. Their unique situation had me smiling and hurting for them as their lives intertwined. I highly recommend grading this book up ASAP, you won’t regret it. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars for an outstanding read in a 10 Star series!

I loved this book!!! Not that I am surprised because I love the Trident guys and Samantha Cole’s writing in general! It was great to see how Princess Tahira has grown and matured into a wonderful woman. Darius? What’s not to love? An alpha dominant male, very swoon worthy. Forty Days and One Knight is a well written, unputdownable book that kept me engaged from the start. Loved it!

Decisions made now can cost both Tahira and Darius everything. Will this couple forged in friendship and convenience be able to withstand the public scrutiny thrown their way as well as the still unknown threat of the kidnappers?

I’ve always enjoyed reading about Tahira throughout the Trident Series, and was thrilled to see her get her own story. She’s always been such a sweet and loyal individual, even though she was a royal, and never treated others as unworthy of her. What she goes through while kidnapped is terrible and utterly devastating. She’s such an incredibly strong individual to survive what she does.

Darius is truly a knight willing to do whatever it takes to make Yahira feel safe, whole and happy again. He has an incredible moral compass and will do anything for Tahira, even if he feels he isn’t worthy of her.

I absolutely adored watching them fall in love with each other from what was supposed to only be a marriage of convenience for the princess. I also enjoyed watching them fall into a D/s relationship as well.

It was great learning a bit more about Darius’ background and the fun secret Tahira holds as well that lets her read people as well as she does.

While a gorgeous romance, Forty Days & One Knight has plenty of suspense as well to keep readers guessing until the very end and waiting to see if Tahira and Darius will get the HEA they deserve. 4.5 stars.

With every Samantha A Cole novel that I have read, I have come to realize that she is an outstanding author. Her new release, Forty Days and One Knight, has everything you might want in a book. From page one, you'll be on the edge of your seat. The book has suspense, romance, and action all rolled into one. There are also some aspects of BDSM woven throughout the storyline. Darius and Tahira's story is one of the best in the Trident Security Omega Team Series to date. If you like alpha male characters, you'll fall in love with Darius. Tahira is a strong, independent female who I, for one, would love to emulate. I couldn't put the book down, and within twenty four hours of starting to read, I was finished. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance and action. Samantha A Cole once again hit it out of the park with this one :)

Having followed Ms Cole for a long time and having read every book she’s written, I was excited when I got to read this book. Oh boy...what an emotional rollercoaster of a ride! We’ve met both characters in previous books, albeit in a diminished capacity, so I knew of them. I just didn’t have a real sense of who they were.
Having read this book I can say that neither were what I expected. Both hide their vulnerabilities from the world. Using a mask to protect themselves. When those walls come down they both discover that they actually more than like each other. With Tahira kidnapped Darius and the Trident guys go in to rescue her and her cousins. As is often the case nothing is as simple as you would want. The aftermath leaves both of them scrambling to make sense of the situation and emotional fallout.
This is when Darius steps upto the plate so to speak. Here is where we see what they’re made of. The courage and strength it takes to keep going and to shine.
I fell in love with both Darius and Tahira. This book will give you a major book hangover, be warned! Days on and I’m still reeling. Fantastic book Ms Cole.

Cinderella in reverse! What's a blue-collar former SEAL to do when he realises he's falling for a modern-day Media Darling of a Princess?

Tahira and her cousins have been kidnapped and Trident Security is taking it personally - they think of her as extended family. But Darius, aka Batman, is in position through another operation to assist. But can he save Tahira from a fate worse than death and potential ostracism from her own people?

I refuse to ruin the surprise for everyone. However, I will say that anyone who has triggers re sexual assault may want to tread lightly. Nothing is described in great detail and the assault takes place "off-page". Tahira may be a damsel in distress but she shows that she is made of sterner stuff than anyone realises.

This book is amazing! It has all of the action, suspense, drama, heat and twists and turns Samantha A Cole put in her books. You will definitely not be disappointed with this new book. Darius aka Batman, is undercover on a mission involving the sex trade. His mission suddenly goes FUBAR when he finds one of the captives is none other than Princess Tahira. He has been on her personal security team many times when she visits Florida and knows he has to get word to Trident to get the Princess out of the extreme danger she is in. During the rescue Darius and Tahira’s relationship takes a turn. This is definitely a book you want to read.

A true tale of a knight in shining armour!

Have been waiting with heightened anticipation for this latest release from Samantha A Cole. It did not disappoint. A tale of kidnapping and rescue, it wasn't all hearts flowers and unicorns. As usual Samantha tackled a tough storyline with sensitivity and empathy and our heroine came out the other side and got her HEA. Darius Knight is a true hero and I fell in love with him myself. Samantha's usual mix of humour, heroics, suspense and plot twist had me hooked. I'm a fan for life and cant wait for the next story

This book is why I love Samantha A Cole!!!
A story that will break your heart and faith in humanity and be put back together again. There is also love, laughter and the bonds of black ops team that have each other’s back no matter what. Darius and Tahira are perfect for each other and I look forward to more!! Can’t get enough of Sam and both the Alpha and Omega teams!!!

This has to be a top selling book for 2019. I loved the story of the Princess and her Knight in shining armour.

When he vowed to protect her he did just that. Maybe he couldn't save her from the clutches of evil who destroyed her to begin with but he was defo there to build her back up. To help her through the good and the bad.

I need more from the Omega team. Bring it on.

I like to be through this when reviewing a story but I’m so scared that I’ll ruin this story. If you love action, hot men ( duh who doesn’t ), strong woman and a storyline you can’t wait to finish while not wanting it to over, any of Ms Cole’s books are perfect for you but this one is like a modern day fairytale, complete with princess, knight and an awful group of men hellbent on remaking havoc.

I loved Darius’ (Batman) character, he’s all alpha man, pulls no punches in what he wants, and is the ultimate knight in a scruffy appearance. Darius comes from a small town family and is working undercover, but all of his choices are taken away in one night. Two minds, one chance, numerous results… he’s left with the ultimate decision.

Princess Tahira, is all beautiful, wealthy a real princess, she’s taking a cruise with her cousins as a last hurrah before she must marry as her culture in Timasur dictates. But when their holiday turns to utter crap, the princess will walk through hell before she’s saved by her prince. I loved that despite her princess status, Tahira is so down to earth, a normal woman living in a not normal world…

Not a normal love story, this is a little dark, but written so well the harshness is overcome with love.

Interesting and fairly tense story, with fabulous characters. One character has been popping up every so often during the Trident Security series so it is great to finally find out more about her as a person, her life. Darius is a fairly new character so it was also nice to find out more about him and his family away from the team as well as with, he is a really nice guy unless you get on the wrong side of him, very protective and sensitive of others. He steps in to help in so many ways as well as doing what he can to protect. Some of the subject matter is not always something some readers like but I felt it was handled well, it isn't graphic but more handled as an after the fact type of scene, so not really anything that could upset. There are some twists which I always love, it is great to be kept in suspense and not figuring it all out straight away. This is a fast flow and could be read in a day if left alone, I would have loved that opportunity but life is life so I didn't get it. Well written and a fabulous addition to Samantha's own series and the 1001 Knights series. I feel very honoured to follow some really talented authors and get to thoroughly enjoy getting lost in reading their books, Samantha A Cole is definitely one of my top ones and always delivers a read I can completely sink my teeth into, a world that is fiction but believable. Loved it

A betrayal from someone close. An unlikely romance. This combined together to create another captivating Trident story. Princess Tahira & Darius had a friendly relationship but it hadn’t grown from there until they were forced to spend more time together. I enjoyed the interactions between all of the characters in this series & the glimpses into what has happened in their lives. The Dom/sub relationship isn’t a major force in this story but the reader is allowed to follow Darius & Tahira as they see if it’s what they want. The major focus of this story is the affection & protection of all involved. The Trident team & their wives have created their own family at work & it expands easily for new members. It was interesting to see Ian not only in his boss role but his more tender, protective side towards his pregnant wife & towards Tahira. The characters are all well developed & portrayed perfectly. The betrayer is no one I expected!

Each of Samantha A Cole’s books brings something new, and this is no exception. While it can be read as a standalone, it is richer for some knowledge of the other books, particularly in terms of the suspense element. Some hints of jealousy were thrown out in earlier books, Tahira herself seemed at times more vulnerable and less unpleasant, but she really comes into her own in this book, and so do her parents. I don’t cry when I’m reading, but this book brought me perilously close. The characters and character development are what make Ms Cole’s books stand head and shoulders above so many others. Even discounting the introduction of Tahira and Darius in earlier books, the insights the reader gets in this book into their characters and who they are is both meaningful and engaging. I’m not sharing more – I don’t like spoilers – but watch out for a phone call that will make you giggle amidst the drama. Oh – and the suspense plot twist – no fair Samantha Cole!

I loved it. We’ve all watched Princess Tahira flirt with the Trident & Omega Teams. We’ve all waited for her “soulmate” to come along, and he did in the form of Darius Knight aka “Batman”. What started out as a solution to a problem, became in its own way, a beautiful love story with a happy ever after ending. The story certainly has me wanting to find out what happened next, coming to my own conclusions, then getting the correct answer.
Loved how we still met the Trident & Omega guys, The Covenant, the wives & girlfriends and the wee kiddies.
Looking forward to the next one, namely Ian becoming a daddy.

I thought this book was fantastic! When I read stories involving the guys from Trident Security I feel like I am reading about another member of the family. When danger happens to Tahira, the princess we have read about in prior books, the men of Trident are called to help with her rescue. The story of what happened, all the danger and the time after had me needing to see what was next in their journey. Darius is the perfect guy with his gentleness yet strong way of caring for Tahira. This is a great addition to a series that is one of my favorites!

Samantha A. Cole has written another amazing story with 40 Days and 1 Knight in the Trident Security Omega Team Series. It is a story I could lose myself in completely. I lost track of time and read until deep in the night. The setting the characters the humour and the suspense is all very clearly described and easy to read.i love the warmth of all the Trident family. Darius and Tahira fit in perfectly. I laughed, shed a tear, I cursed and I flipped when... I am not going to tell. I highly recommend this book. Thank you Samantha.

Samantha hits the mark. I have not read any books by Samantha that I have not loved but this by far is my favorite to date. Darius is a true Knight in shining armor, a strong man with a beautiful heart. He helps Tahira out of a difficult situation, however as all of Samantha's women characters she is not a shrinking violet. Tahira is beautiful and strong and has become a woman who is compassionate, not the spoiled princess Darius once thought she was. Can these 2 overcome the insecurities they feel to have a HEA. A must read.

I loved this new story by one of my favorite authors, Samantha Cole. Each character becomes a friend over the course of the series and 'Batman' has always held a special place for me.
