Love Christopher Artinian and love Kim Bretton!
Oh and Jules, I love her too! This story is so good. The series is amazing. I would totally be Jules friend and be fighting right along beside her! She is a force to be reckoned with. Sharp wit, strong willed and sharper tongue! All said in jest and with love. Listen to her fight for a life in a world that is hard to live in. Fight for her friends, brothers and those who she has chosen as her family.
Fall in love with this world that CA has created and never have the desire to leave it!

Before Safe Haven: Jules by Christopher Artinian and narrated by Kim Bretton is an awesome listen. This is a must listen if you are a fan of the series, looking for a series with strong female characters, or looking for a new zompoc series with lots of action.
I remember when Jules first arrived on the scene, she quickly became one of my favs and when the opportunity to listen to her origin, I was happy. This book didn’t disappoint. The story takes place towards the beginning of the zombie apocalypse with Jules leading a group of survivors in a Home and Garden store. She’s given the leader role despite her objections as she a natural at it. The group includes her three brothers and a few others. Without giving too much away, some of the things you get are; tons of action, dangers at almost every turn, friendships/family bonds, survival, and zombies. Regarding the narrator Kim Bretton, she really helps make the world stand out by doing a brilliant job of bring the characters to life and voicing the story in general. If you haven’t listened to any of Christopher and Kim’s books, I highly recommend it as they will have you on the edge of your seat and you may or may not curse at Christopher for killing some characters off :)

The ending is the beginning !!!
Time travel
as I see it !
Just as they do in movies lately ,
the author Christopher Artinian brought me back to a long lost family and where they were before the beginning and how they got there, once again surprises me with his beautiful sharp mind, introducing to why,
were and how the characters from a twenty books series’s came to be in the first place.
Truly a genius idea in the making !
The angelic voice of Kim Bretton needs no introduction, with her perfectly awesome narration of each the characters which seals and complete the audio part of it all !
All of Christopher books are perfectly written,
Every of his series’s make one amazing individual story from all possible sides, a before, an after and all in between, all from totally different views.
just as I said brilliant writing which made me feel like I’m part of the family, for better or worst, and I’m visiting.
Definitely and absolutely
recommended by me for all.

I enjoy these shorter, but more in-depth studies of some of the main characters of the "Safe Haven" series, and this one was about Jules. It was entertaining and fun to learn what events helped to mold Jules into the person she becomes in "Safe Haven". I recommend this story to others who enjoy this genre. Kim Bretton's narration was engaging and captivating. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily posted this review.

A fantastic apocalyptic read that grabs you from the first page to the last. The scenes are written so well that I can picture them in my minds eye. This is a real page turner with twists and turns that keeps you enthralled with this read. I definitely recommend this a captivating read. I would put more than 5 stars on this one if it was possible.

I strongly suggest that you read this Before book last of the four and before you read book three of Safe Haven!!! It'll clear up a lot so you won't get confused 😕about what's happened and what's going to happen!!! Terrific action!!!! I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!!! LOL!!!

Jule's story, was just as fantastic as all the other 'Before Safe Haven' books, and should not be missed, I've read all four together and enjoyed every minute and couldn't put them down. This book was a complete emotional roller coaster ride of terror through the zompoc and was completely irresistable. I can't wait to see what's next in the Safe Haven series.

Jules and George are among my favorite characters in this universe, which I know is a bad idea with the apocalypse. So sad that there were so many lives unnecessarily lost. You can't be cocky about an area being fully clear, just because it was initially so. And a theater of all places, those rooms are massive and dark- uggh enough said.

Awesome read
Being able to learn more about Jules, one the characters in The Safe Haven series, was great. She is as tough as leather but with a sense of humor especially when it comes to her illustrious brothers' escapades. This was a super book that I enjoyed immensely.

Another amazing book
This is a short story all about Jules. As always this is well written and is really captivating. Pop

Brilliant, the best one of these prequels yet! It was really good to hear the backstory of Jules, and quite tense to read about names who aren’t with the depot group when the main story meets them - you know something bad is going to be happening to them and are just waiting for the hammer to fall.

"This is Hell, and damnation is eternal."
This pretty much sums up life during a Zombie Apocalypse. Just when you think things have a chance of getting better, it all comes crashing down.
I love this series and the characters that Christopher Artninan has created. I like the fact that he has created this "before" group of stories about some of the main characters, then neatly ties them together with the rest of the series.
This book features Julia "Jules", a young woman who becomes the leader of a rag-tag group of survivors who have set up housekeeping in a Home and Garden store. There is plenty of zombie action, a few deaths of characters that you have come to love (of course!), and invasion by another species that will set your heart racing.
I hope that the author continues this series for a long time. I also hope that there might be a HEA ending for some of the characters!

Kim Bretton does an outstanding job in bringing each of the characters to life and you can tell who is talking just by her wonderful voices for each of them. Her performance makes a great book even better!
