Deliverance #1

The Sound of Salvation

Rate this book
It's easier to control tears than fear.

It’s easier to suffer in silence than ask for help.

It's easier to be loved than to love.

Nadia has a past. A messy past full of grief, suffering, and regret. Broken and fragile, she’s scared to share her secrets and struggles to move on. Until he comes along. A handsome face; an athletic build; the strength he emanates. He’s everything she needs to regain control of her emotions. He’s the flicker of light at the end of a dark tunnel.

But she refuses to take advantage of what he offers, too scared it’ll backfire.

Thomas carries a burden. A heavy burden that left him numb. He hides behind the mask of a playboy, refusing to feel, convinced that fate made a mistake and his job is to fix it. In his orderly world, there’s no place for joy and happiness. Until she comes along. A beautiful face; a petite body; a sea of sadness in her eyes. She flips his world upside down with one look, and maybe – just maybe, there is a reason why he’s still breathing.

Except she’s his best friend’s off-limits little sister and if he touches her, she might just be the reason he stops breathing.

I. A. Dice writes emotionally intense romance—both dark and light—but always equally spicy. When she’s not dreaming up love stories, she’s probably drinking too much coffee and swooning over fictional men.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thomas is Nick's best friend and business partners. At the beginning of the reading it is possible that you may dislike his way of thinking about relationships with women. Be patient. It doesn't take long for him to receive a lesson and receive a taste of his own medicine.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Nadia is Nick's sister. She returns to try to continue her life, after a devastating relationship. But the demons of the past chases her, preventing her from moving forward and finally freeing herself.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Thomas becomes the support she needs to overcome the ravages of her past and present. But guilt does not allow her to move forward.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The book has a huge cliffhanger. It's angsty, emotional, heart wrenching and gripping, with some dark themes. It's a good story that you don't want to miss. ⁣⁣

Wow, wow, wow..... this book had me hooked from beginning to end and so consumed that even when I wasn't reading, this story was still invading my thoughts. Thomas and Nadia were two broken souls drowning by guilt and trying to survive the best way they knew how, Thomas with women and Nadia with pills. Their story was filled with angst, suspense, drama, secrets and a relationship that neither was looking for but couldn't deny. If you're looking for an addicting, heart-wrenching, gripping read that will leave you jaw-dropped by the last page, then this is the book you NEED to read!! I was so stunned by the end that I kept swiping my tablet for more pages but there were no more... NO MORE FREAKING PAGES AND I NEEDED MORE!!! I absolutely, without a doubt need book 2 like yesterday!!!

The Sound of Salvation: Deliverance Book #1 by I.A. Dice

OMG!!! I THINK I MIGHT DIE!! MY HEART JUST STOPPED!!!

What the hell did I.A Dice do to my emotions, my heart just shattered into a thousand pieces and I don’t really know what to do with that cliffhanger she left us on 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

This book was absolute fire. The storyline focused on some very dark and emotional themes but it was sooooo beautiful and ugly and everythinggg!

The MC, Nadia is so broken in every way, it shattered my soul and heart! I actually can’t deal. Like she’s been through so much! She was trying so hard to not let the darkness consume her but sometimes the darkness wins out *tear drop* I really felt her pain, and every word just melted my whole being.

Arghhh! Don’t get me started on the hero, Thomas😍!! He’s so sexxxyy, he screams arrogance but he wears it well! I think Nadia, might just be the first woman to make him second guess himself!!& love love love their relationship! love their encounters, love how jealous, possessive and caveman Thomas goes over her 😍swoooooon😍 Stay back ladies! Thomas is sooo mine!

I.A Dice really knows how to draw you in and captivate you. I was hooked from beginning to end, clinging onto every word. This was an emotional forbidden romance and it was ohhh so goood!

I am really struggling to find the words for this review because I am dying to read the next book.. All I can say is, please read this book, It was literally everything!!!

5 heartbreaking stars! Wow this book was amazing!

The Sound of Salvation is a beautiful story of heartache and healing. Nadia and Thomas both have traumatic events in their pasts that have changed the way they view their futures. Together they seem to help each other heal and move forward, however life is full of difficult choices as Nadia soon discovers.

Thomas was by far my favourite character, I loved everything about him. But Nadia's brother... oh man, he was a pain in the ass! He annoyed me every moment he took up page time 😂 I don't know if he was meant to have this impact on readers but his whole overprotective-but-oblivious-brother act really made me wish I could smack him upside the head multiple times while I was reading. 🙊

There are so many thing I want to say but can't without giving away spoilers so just know this..... Dice takes you on an emotional rollercoaster and doesnt let you get off. She basically leaves you hanging over the edge at the most intense part of the story!

I just hope there are plans to release book two soonee rather than later because I neeeeed answers 😂😂

“I want you today, tomorrow, next week and for the rest of my life.”

Ah, Thomas... You'll hate him for 2 seconds altogether and then you'll fall madly and deeply in love with him.
One heart-stopping, exciting story with a dashing hero and a headstrong and loyal heroine who will fight for those that she loves, even though she's hurting herself. And Thomas, honorable man with a burden. I loved how he came undone for her.

I fell in love hard and fast with these characters. A sensational read that I highly recommend!

I had a hard time getting into this one. I really enjoyed Thomas's character, was my favorite. I like that you start out thinking your not going to like him, hes just another playboy, but he quickly changes and you fall in love. He like Nadia, truly likes her and does what he can for the girl. Both characters are broken and dealing with their problems in different ways. Thomas deals with his by using women, skinny tall beautiful blondes, and Nadia deals with her by popping pills.

The two help each other heal and see that there is more than just sex and pills. I love how Thomas is Nadias Knight in Shining Armor, he is there for her and her own personal cheerleader throughout the story.

I liked this book but for me it didnt captivate me like I was hoping it would. I had a hard time reading it and staying focused. It really took me awhile to get into it. 3 stars from me.

The Sound of Salvation wastes no time with getting warmed up. It starts hot and ends with a jaw dropping conclusion!

Thomas and Nadia's story is angsty, rocky, deep, and had my emotions all over the place. It didn't take long for me to start talking to the characters, shaking my head at some of their actions and pleading with some not to do what I KNOW they are going to do anyway.

I.A. Dice did such a great job at telling this story! This was my first read from her and I was hooked by the first chapter!

This is book one of two and I NEED book two ASAP!

💚♡𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝑶𝒇 𝑨 𝑩𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒐𝒑𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒆 𝑶𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝑹𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈♡💚

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/𝟓 𝑶𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝑹𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈: The Sound of Salvation is book one in the Deliverance duet by I.A. Dice . As soon as I read the blurb I knew I was going to love this one, but just how much I wasn’t prepared for. Told in dual POV, The Sound of Salvation is about Nadia and Thomas. Two broken people who come together to try and help one another mend their broken pieces back together again. But the path to get there is filled with a whole lot of trials, tribulations, and a ton of heartache along the way.

If you are looking for an angsty, heartwrenching, best friend’s sister romance then The Sound of Salvation is a perfect read! It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s emotional and you will not be able to put it down. I can not wait for the conclusion of Thomas and Nadia’s story in The Taste of Redemption .

❝𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒃𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒂 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈. 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒃𝒆 𝒔𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒐𝒏; 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒑𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏. 𝑴𝒂𝒚𝒃𝒆 𝒘𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓.❞
💙 (𝑯) 𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒐: Thomas Celix may come off as your typical, wealthy, arrogant, playboy. But he’s also so much more than that. We see that with the way he treats Nadia. I absolutely adore Thomas! But his playboy ways are just a bandaid for the pain and guilt that he’s been feeling for the last three years. And his vice just happens to be tall, skinny, blonde-haired and blue-eyed women.
❝𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒉𝒆𝒓, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒅 𝒏𝒐 𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒂 𝒘𝒉𝒚.❞
Nadia is the complete opposite of Thomas’s normal vices. But for some reason, he’s instantly attracted to her. Nadia is off-limits to Thomas, he doesn’t need conflict with his best friend and business partner. But there’s just something about Nadia that Thomas is finding hard to stay away from.

❝𝑰𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒐𝒐 𝒎𝒖𝒄𝒉. 𝑯𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒐𝒐 𝒎𝒖𝒄𝒉. 𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒎𝒆 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒐𝒐 𝒎𝒖𝒄𝒉, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝑰 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒉𝒊𝒎 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒑 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒆 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍 𝒏𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒍 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏, 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒃𝒚 𝒇𝒂𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒊𝒈𝒈𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒐𝒐 𝒎𝒖𝒄𝒉 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏. 𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒊𝒕’𝒔 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏.❞
❤️ (𝒉) 𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒆: Nadia has just returned home from being away at school in New York for the past couple of years. Very quickly after Thomas first meets her he can tell that something isn’t quite right with Nadia. She’s flighty and frightened around men. Not even Nadia’s brother notices that something is off… but Thomas does, and he wants nothing more than to help heal the demons in her eyes.
❝𝑯𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒅𝒓𝒖𝒈 𝑰 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒅. 𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒆. 𝑰 𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒏’𝒕 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒉𝒚; 𝑰 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅𝒏’𝒕 𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒅 𝒂 𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒍𝒆 𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑰 𝒏𝒐 𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒅. 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝑰? 𝑯𝒆 𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒏, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕.❞
Just like Thomas, Nadia has a vice. But her vice is pills. Pills that help her cope with the memories of her time in New York that continue to torment her. Both are trying to fight their demons in the only way they know how, albeit not in the most healthy of ways, but when Thomas is around Nadia doesn’t rely on her pills quite as much as she used to.

I love that I.A. Dice doesn’t jump right into what’s going on with Nadia. Not finding out right away definitely added quite a bit of suspense and mystery surrounding Nadia’s character.
❝𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒘 𝒎𝒆 𝒊𝒏, 𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒎𝒚 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒇𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒅, 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒃𝒖𝒕 𝒂 𝒃𝒍𝒖𝒓.❞

💚 𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔: The secondary character, i.e Nick (Nadia’s brother & Thomas’s best friend) and Nick’s fiance who also happens to be a good friend of Nadia’s, I didn’t care for as much. I do NOT like Nadia’s brother, at all. At first, I did. He just seemed like an overly protective big brother. But after a while, you see that doesn’t really seem like the case and I hate the way he tries to manipulate Nadia. I love the scene where Thomas steps in… *SWOON*!
❝𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒎𝒆 𝒘𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒆 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏. 𝑻𝒉𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒔.❞
🔥🔥🔥/𝟓 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒎 𝑭𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓: There actually aren’t very many steamy scenes and the ones that we do have are not very detailed. That’s not this author’s style, so if you’re looking for that, you won’t find it here. But the intense chemistry between Nadia and Thomas makes them work. I do like a bit more description and more… umm, “romancing” before just jumping straight into the deed but the scenes were still enjoyable to read.

🌪🌪🌪🌪/𝟓 𝑪𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒇𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝑾𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈: HUGE, JAW-DROPPING, CLIFFHANGER!!! Even though I saw it coming in the last couple of chapters or so, I still was totally not ready for it to happen. I can already tell the conclusion of Nadia and Thomas’s story, The Taste of Redemption , is going to be a super angsty, delicious read and I can not wait for it! I’m really, really hoping Thomas and Nadia find they’re happily ever after… together. I.A. Dice certainly knows how to leave you begging for more!
❝𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒐𝒂𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒏 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒍.
𝑰 𝒘𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒐𝒂𝒅.
𝑵𝒐𝒘 𝑰 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒏 𝒂𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒌 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒏.❞
⚠️ 𝑻𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝑾𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈: There are difficult subjects that could be considered triggers, i.g. drug abuse, physical and mental abuse, and manipulation. If you would like to know more about what I’m referring to, feel free to DM me!

Trigger warnings at the end.
Let me tell you a story.
Once upon a time I had the opportunity to receive an ARC from the autor in exchange of an honest review. Thank you for that!
I started this book thinking that this will be a fluffy read, but I was wrong. There are some heavy topics here that are dealt well and very realistic.
We start the book with the perspective of Thomas, who is a man that hires and f..s all the blondes with blue eyes, thin and with long legs, then fires them. He is the owner of a record label with his best friend and partner Nick.
The other perspective is Nadia, Nick's little sister that lived in New York for 2 years. She comes back to London and we do not know why. We get from Thomas's point of view a glimpse of what Nadia is confronting.
Thomas and Nadia start seeing each other behind Nick's back.
Nadia's past is being revealed as we read on. Unfortunately, women from all over the world go through this kind of trauma every day. Some find strengh to overcome it soon, some later, and some can never be strong enough to do what it is best for them. What I am talking about is depicted in a realistic way. I know from my life's experience that it is tough and I found myself in Nadia.
The ending is heartbreaking! I felt torn apart with that ending. It was emotional!
I recommend this book!!

Trigger warning: physical abuse, death of a loved one.

Nadia and Thomas two damaged people drawn to each other like magnets. It was like a car crash waiting to happen with so much against them. Nadia comes home very troubled but we don't get told why, there is a slow drip feed of information. It was like solving a mystery reading between the lines trying to work out what sent her running. The Thomas we meet at the start is a grade A idiot, I rolled my eyes so much at his antics however the man he becomes through the story is a man you will grow to love and admire. This is a story that is multi layered and I can't tell you why because everything is a potential spoiler. A story that will pull you in different directions, have your emotions all over the place and then an ending that leaves you wanting more.

This is a fantastic one sitting read for me. I started this one evening intending to read a few chapters and next thing I know I’ve finished it.

Nadia and Thomas have both had their problems. They are both really likeable characters and I was so rooting for them to find the happiness they deserve. However Nadia is Thomas best friend little sister and that’s a no no.

This is a brilliant read that pulled on so many of my emotions. Can’t wait to read book two.

For quite a long time I wanted to read something that would shake my emotions - regardless of the way.

This book actually exceeded my reading desires by a mile. It was an amazing journey, completely not the way I expected it to be. Yes, I admit, at some point I got worried it would be another romance.

Nope. It's nothing of the sort.

What makes this book a strong contender, is the way the author tries to deal with feelings and emotions of the main character.

If you want to experience an emotional roller coaster, a very fine mixture of both highs and lows, you will not be disappointed.

Holy Angsty Brothers Best Friend Batman!! Two beautiful but broken people. Coping in ways that aren’t really healthy, but both just doing the best they can to stay afloat.

Thomas had something happen in his past. It was very traumatic and he blames himself for being the one to walk away. He’s been silently suffering with survivors guilt. Coping by revolving romps with leggy blondes they he hires, hooks up with and then immediately fires. When he goes with his best friend and business partner, Nick to the airport to pick up his Nick’s sister, Nadia, he’s instantly drawn to her despite the fact that she’s the exact opposite of everything he usually goes for and she’s completely off limits.

Nadia has returned home after two years away. Unbeknownst to anyone else she has suffered while away. She’s trying her best to fit in and be there for her family, but she’s struggling. Thomas notices her struggles and wants to help. She’s as drawn to him as he is to her. She finds solace with Thomas. He unexpectedly becomes everything she never knew she needs, even though he’s forbidden.

There’s definitely some characters they have me wanting to smash my kindle across the room...Thankfully, I won’t. It’s far to cherished a possession.

Nadia and Thomas, these two ignite and have sparks from the moment they first meet. I mean these two broken people could have the ability to heal each other if it weren’t for all the other stuff… GAH! This book has it all secrets, drama, angst, sex, and suspense. And the cliffhanger!! OMG the cliffhanger! I need book two like yesterday!

⭐️⭐️⭐⭐⭐️- I love a good brothers best friends romance. This one had that and more, because they were both so broken. I could have done without the brother though. 😬
🔥🔥🔥🔥-Thomas and Nadia were just super hot together. From the moment they met their chemistry was off the charts!! 🥵🔥
🌪🌪Cliffhanger Warning-Cliffy Alert you will not get resolution in this book. If that bothers you wait for book two!

The Sound of Salvation

It’s two souls recognizing one another’s pain. I.A. Dice wrote a beautiful, angsty, love story that made my heart race and break.

I mean, how did I hate Thomas in the beginning?! I am telling you if he slept with one more blonde, I was going to dye my hair back to it’s original roots. But, here I am IN LOVE with him. If he was in front me I would be wrapped around him. Guilt ridden, who has suffered trauma, not realizing that it’s ok, it’s ok that he is here. That he lives. Until the petite brunette, doe eyed, artistic, and beautiful Nadia makes him feel.

It happens quickly and yet not quick enough. You know? I.A. Dice made the air so thick between them, their pain, their burden, their love and lust. The author truly puts us in their place where no one else exists just them. So many scenes, when they first meet, the club, GOSH when she uses a Veto ;) during truth or Dare. I want to drown in them.

Let me talk about Nadia. She broke my heart. You know she is a “feeler” she feels so deeply. It’s one Of the most beautiful things about her, and also the most dangerous things about her too. It makes one want to protect her, like Thomas. He sees it all, he sees through her, a grump of a man, a playboy, who sees it all. Every time she holds back, escapes touch, backs away, but never with him. Nadia toes the line of if she loves Thomas should she make him her newest addiction? Or if she loves him does he deserve better?

At times when life is so difficult, you want a parent. Each day gets hard, it bleeds right through her, until Thomas. My heart is so full but its a bit shattered too. Gosh I wouldn’t want in any other way. Their pain is so ugly so unfair, but its beautiful and worthy. I am rooting for them. Nadia wants to be more whole, even though I am scared for her, even though I don’t agree, she is going to pursue what she thinks is right.

It’s a sensual story, I felt every touch, every demon, every pull, lip bite, and KISS. OOF you can write a kiss scene. Kissing is so underrated. Not here and I am one happy reader about it! It’s clinging and not letting go…what happens when one does let go ?!?!

My heart is so full and broken ! On to the next !!

Y’all this book. When I first started it I didn’t really have a clue what it was about other than the trope and I’m so glad I didn’t. I love unexpected stories. It was so good. When we first meet Thomas I liked him right away. He was cocky and a player, but I love how much he cared for Nadia. He does immediately want her from the start, it’s more on her end putting up a fight.

Nadias character I couldn’t really connect with her in the beginning, but that soon changed when we learn about her past. I felt like the storyline is centered on her. Even though we do get Thomas POV I feel like we learn more about her past and how much she struggles with intimacy.

That ending broke my heart. First of all I had forgotten this was a series and got really scared when it ended with a cliffhanger, but I seriously can’t wait for the next book. My heart broke for Thomas. He’s so amazing and tries to give his best to Nadia. I do understand why Nadia is so standoffish, but it was also heartbreaking to see that damage unfold on Thomas.

The sound of salvation tells the story of Nadia and Thomas. She's out of his limits because she's his best friend's little sister. And she is absolutely the opposite of what he likes. Nonetheless, will that be enough to keep them apart?
This book exceeded my expectations. Or rather it wasn't what I thought it'll be. The story is quite beautiful for how real it is. It talks about issues that are rarely touched. And it's so well-written that through it you feel the love, the pain, the happiness. It makes you feel and live along with the characters.
Although it has some sex scenes, they're few and not explicit at all, so that's good.
Can't wait to read The Taste of Redemption!

So I really really loved the story behind this book. I was almost in tears at the end of the book. The ending gutted me. So throughout the story it eludes to what Nadia went through, so much so you want to keep reading to find out her secrets. When you finally fit the pieces together it’s heart breaking. The middle of the book had me wanting to slap Nick, (Nadia’s brother)and he’s not even the main character. All the whining Nick does would drive me insane in real life, He says he is always taking care of his sister but all I’m reading is him telling her to get over things that have traumatized and hurt her, Making her feel like she is in the wrong, and less than she is. It was heart breaking to read. I know he’s trying to help but man. The book takes a turn in the end I was not hoping for and I’m praying there’s a miracle in the next book. I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Wow wow wow I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would at the first 6 % I didn't like main character Thomas's attitude one bit.

But definitely loved the way we got bits and pieces of Nadia's story through out the book and im glad her character learned to cope with her battles.

And I like that you could see character development in Thomas as well from beginning to end.

This story has a sleeping with/dating best friends sister troupe in it but the way Thomas handled it I was like yes let him know that you don't care your only concern is Nadia .

I want to read more now 😔

I received this as an arc. This book was wonderfully written. The characters had depth and were developed well. I enjoy books with the theme of off limits best friends younger sister. Thomas and Nadia both have their demons and they really pull at your heart strings. The pacing was good as well. Overall was an enjoyable read and can’t wait to read more by this author.

Nadia's gone through an unbelievably horrible amount of stuff when she comes home to see her brother. His best friend, Thomas, knows she's off limits, but it's like that old saying - you always want what you can't have...

In this case, though, Nadia and Thomas do get to have each other, it's just a matter of if they can keep each other. If I were to go by the horrible cliffhanger, then I'd say no, but I have a feeling I.A. Dice has something good in store for this couple. I hope so because if anyone deserves a happy ever after, it's Nadia and Thomas!

The Sound of Salvation was a really great read, and will pull you into Thomas & Nadia's journey! I loved Thomas & Nadia both have been hurt and damage by their past! They are both each other's drug, and are a support for one another! Their sexual chemistry was smoking hot! But that ending left me with my month hanging open and saying no don't! Bring on part2 The Taste of Redemption!

I was generously given an arc in exchange for an honest review!

h: Nadia
H: Thomas
(Dual POVs)

We meet Thomas, who has a revolving door of blonde, blue eyed assistants that he fucks and then fires. Nadia is Thomas’ business partner’s sister. Nadia is coming home after being away for two years. Thomas helps pick Nadia up from the airport with her brother Nick and Thomas feels an instant connection. Nadia has returned home to escape abuse and is reluctant to tell anyone. Being around Thomas helps Nadia deal with her anxiety and fears better than any of the pills that she takes. Nadia gives into Thomas for one night which makes Thomas hungry for more, yet Nadia doesn’t initially want a repeat.

First I want to say that I think the author has so much potential in the future. I thought her writing was beautiful! The Thomas you meet in chapter one is completely different from the Thomas you’ll end up falling for by the end of the story. He’s supportive, comforting, protective and completely smitten with Nadia. I LOVED the way Thomas stands up for her, especially to his best friend, Nick. I honestly disliked the way that Nadia ends up being easily manipulated towards the end of the story. This story does end in a cliffhanger and I am biting-my-nails anxious to know what happens with Nadia and Thomas!

Favorite quotes:
He was the strongest drug I ever tried. Nothing could compare. I didn’t understand why; I couldn’t find a single explanation, and I no longer cared. Why would I? He eradicated pain, and there was nothing more important. -Nadia

”Why do you want to run?”
“Because you’re hoping for more.” She cupped my face. “Lie to me.”
“You’re delusional.”
“Lie better. Please.”
“I don’t want more,” I said, then contradicted the words with a kiss. “I don’t want you to be mine, baby doll.”

I came into this book completely blind and it surprised me. It wasn’t really a love story, it was more a story about two broken people finding one another and hoping they could pull each other through the darkness.

Nadia has moved back home from NYC to London, where her brother Nick and best friend Amelia live and who have just got engaged (do we ever get their story?). She is returning for the wedding, but also after a traumatic event, which is revealed slowly, with a piece of the puzzle put into place every few chapters. Thomas is Nick’s best friend and business partner and is known for being a player and has a liking for blonde, thin supermodels. However, when he meets Nadia, sparks fly between them, and he doesn’t know what to do, especially as she is the opposite of his usual type. Nadia and Thomas strike up an unusual relationship, where they rely heavily one each other to try and overcome their pasts.

The Sound of Salvation is hard to review because I don’t want to reveal much of the plot. I admired Nadia and how even after everything she had been through, she was aware that she was using Thomas as a crutch to start with, although it developed into more. Thomas was sweet and caring, he really changed from the playboy he was at the beginning and didn’t mind being used as long as he helped Nadia. He had his own demons, even though they were barely touched upon in comparison to Nadia’s. I hope he reveals more about his past in book 2, especially after that cliff-hanger!

"..he was the strongest drug I ever tried. Nothing could compare. I did't understand why;I couldn't find a single explanation..Why would I? He eradicated pain, and there was nothing more important."

The bonds of love can heal…or destroy. Love transforms. Sacrifice, loyalty, and the choices of love that can shatter the heart.

Thomas is a brilliant alpha male with a heart that is big enough to cherish and love Nadia with all the pieces of who she is. Nadia is a beautiful and flawless woman on the outside but damaged and tormented on the inside. She needs to heal her fractured soul and decide how she wishes to shape her future.

In this journey with the rollercoaster of emotions, we learn to truly care about them as if feels we know them. There is nothing perfect in their relationship and that’s what made it perfect for me. There is heart-racing and heartbreaking, there is love and there is lost.

Is this love great enough to win over the obstacles life throws in its way?! We have to wait for book 2 – The Taste of Redemption – and it can't come soon enough.

"The road to heaven leads through hell. I went through hell and found you at the end of the road. Now I have to turn around and walk away from heaven."
