About half the book is reference, with charts, tables, etc.. I really enjoyed the book, and I will move it to a shelf that I can pull from often. Very deep stuff though, stuff that if I talked about I might just get in trouble ;)
I do admit though that the art of extracting spagyric essences hasn't dated very well, and several parts of the book are difficult to access intellectually... for those sections I just powered through, and took notes when possible.
