Jake's world was ripped away shortly before he fell victim to the virus. Waking up days later, he finds that everything has changed--even he has changed.

Clara's childhood was less than ideal, but thanks to her beloved fairy tales, she managed to survive. Just as everything seems to be falling into place, a ghost from the past returns to haunt her.
VI - JAKE & CLARA
Traveling across the country together proves more difficult than either Jake or Clara expects, and just when they both think the world couldn't get any worse, it does.

Unique & Captivating Stories of The Ending Series Characters!!!
ABSOLUTELY LOVED these origin stories about characters from the FANTASTIC Ending Series!!!:-). This helps to explain SOOO MUCH and it was BRILLIANT to see how so many of my FAV characters (and some not so FAV LOL) began!!!:-). LOVED IT!!:-)

Too many emotional teenagers! The premise of this book was pretty good, but the “magic” was lost on the whiny teens! And WHY did EVERY character have to say something with a “shaky breath?” I mean that was annotated Multiple times! Not t o mention the amount of times someone LITERALLY cleares their throat before speaking! Its as if the author had a default definition of a person, then applied it to Every character. (Insert eye roll)
Also. The President’s Address DID NOT have to be repeated multiple times, we get it. It was on a loop. There was NO need to repeat it whenever we were introduced to a new characters back story! I can’t imagine continuing on with this series. So I’ll leave this here

Great book
It was great finally meeting the cast before the apocalypse. Jake was the biggest surprise to me of when he got the power to regenerate. It was very sad to see what actually happened to his sister Becca. Great story and I recommend reading.

To Know Them is to Love Them
What a great understanding of key characters. The Origin Stories are every bit as important to the Ending series as the other books.

Diverse!
I can't believe how much I enjoyed this compilation of stories, but I certainly did. How they connect is well done and exciting situations are everywhere! A killer flu, insanity, mind control and immortality are all part of this mix! Enjoy!! Time to move on to the Ending series.

Round Two
This is my second time reading the Ending Series. I'm excited to re read the 5 or 6 books I read in 2015 and then move deeper into the stories with the additional books I hadn't read yet!
Ps. Clara is beyond insanely deluded!
