It’s fake, but it feels so good.

Oliver Steele is supposed to be my knight in shining armor. He’s tall, handsome, and as cocky as he is rich. With his good looks and charm, no one’s going to suspect a thing. No one’s going to believe our engagement is fake.

But he’s taking this thing way too far. The way he wraps his arm around me like I'm his. The way he kisses me and presses his hard body up against mine. I almost believe that it's real. Almost.

He's doing it on purpose now; he loves that this is getting to me.

Two can play his game, though. I won’t let him win. By the time our week together is done, I’ll leave Oliver on his knees and begging.

But the minute we’re alone in the bedroom, I know I’m in over way my head. When he undresses me with his eyes, I realize I lost before the game even started. It’s only a matter of time before I lose myself in his touch and let him do whatever he wants to me.

I know what I want, but I can’t tell what’s real anymore.

Mr. Fiance is a full-length Romance with an HEA, no cheating, and no cliffhanger!

If you've read Anaconda, then you've already met Brianna's bestie, Mindy, who appeared to be unfiltered and unapologetic. If you haven't read that book (and you really should if you haven't), get ready to meet and fall for her and Oliver just as I have.

Mindy's mother is getting married and is adamant that Mindy attend. She also expects her to bring her dear fiance, Harold, the man she's been engaged to for a year, as her plus one so everyone can get the chance to meet him. However, there's a slight problem with that. You see, Harold doesn't exist. Rather than admit to her lies, Mindy enlists the help of Brianna and her husband, Gavin, in order to find her a stand-in. Gavin finds his friend Oliver to fit the bill. It doesn't hurt that Oliver owes Gavin $500,000 after a poker loss and doing this one favor will wipe out that debt.

Both characters... actually I enjoyed ALL of the characters in this book. Mindy's family was... interesting... and I found them as open and honest as she was (well as she was most of the time). It was hard to stomach Mindy's weakness and her need to lie, but her coming-of-age moments where worthwhile and gave her character true dimension. I also liked watching Oliver and Mindy fall for one another and how, for the most part, they lived in the moment and didn't try to hide or fight it.

I'm guessing Mindy's sister, Roxy, may be getting a story of her own. That's my prediction and I think it would be fun because that girl is a riot!

Title: Mr. Fiancé
Author: Lauren Landish

I have read multiple books written by Lauren Landish , & so far I have loved every one of them. Though this book is one of my favorite by this author, I did really enjoy it.
We met Mindy in “Anaconda” & I was hoping & praying Lauren Landish would write the story about that sassy mouth Mindy

➦Oliver Steele is cocky as he is rich.. Oliver recently return to help his mother.. Oliver sold his shares of the family business , cuz the stress of the job & his constant arguing with his father was taking its toll on him
Oliver’s lost half million to his friend in poker game, but his friend Gavin didn’t want him to repay him with money… He ask Oliver to be Mr. Fiancé

➦Mindy Price is the manager at Beangal's Den Coffee House . and just got the news her mother is getting married & she need to find an man to play her pretend fiancé.. See Mindy whole family believe she engaged to a rich handsome man called Howard. With no other choice Mindy turns to her best friend & boss for help

The characters are interesting. I like Mindy, she’s smart & independent, & she gave Oliver a chase when she could. Oliver started off being a jerk, but he’s also hot, & he does have his moments when he lets his guard down.

The pace is fine; the story & the timeline didn’t seemed rushed, and there was buildup of chemistry between the two. Personally though,
the ending was short & sweet. Overall,
4 stars..

➦I am recommending this book to my friends.

➦I am also interested to see if Lauren Landish going write about Anthony or Roxy

➦Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion

descriptionI really like this cover. It's visualy very pleasing and I love the unique title work.description

description

descriptionThis one was just OK for me. There wasn't anything particularly wrong with it per se. I enjoyed the secondary characters a lot. And Oliver was a likable hero. I just found myself losing interest halfway through, and I had to force myself to continue. On top of that, I HATED Mindy. She acted like such a bitch towards Oliver when the guy was doing HER a huge favor. I mean the VERY first time she meets this guy she gives him the following list of rules...

“First, when we’re not in the presence of my family, you’re not allowed to touch me. And if there comes a time where we display affection for show, only I initiate it. Also, in front of my family, you’ll never lay a hand anywhere on my body that can be deemed inappropriate. Last, you’ll always be respectful and laugh at my jokes."

I almost stopped reading right at that point because holy hell self-centered much?! Unfortunately she just never got any more likable IMO. So ya, as I said, it was just OK.description

So am I the only one who would keep it a secret if my fiancé is fake? Even if it's the time to tell it? I would just roll with it, if it's the fun Mr. Fake Fiancé like Oli! Just keep it your little dirty secret!

Man I instantly liked Oli he is just very likable even if he is very cocky.

I don't want to ruin anything, but this isn't entirely like you've read before.

This one made me laugh out loud and giggle like a school girl! Bertha and the condom is just hilarious! It's been a while that I've laughed as much as I did with this one!

Also the mother of Mindy isn't as bad as I thought and expected her to be, but I get what they meant with all of that.

Mindy’s mother is getting married and she asks Mindy to bring her fiancé with her so she can finally meet him. But Mindy is in reality not engaged and just said it so that her mother stopped complaining about her being single. Mindy needs to find someone who wants to pretend to be her fiancé for one week. Oliver will be that man. He wants to know Mindy better and he enjoys that one week they’re spending together.

I loved Mindy and Oliver. Mindy is sweet, funny, determined and loving. She works very hard and dreams about owning her own shop. She needs some vacation and can’t wait to see her sister again. Oliver is setting up his own business and he’s determined to make it a success. He’s rich, smart, hot, sweet and caring.

Everything happens fast between Oliver and Mindy, but it felt right. Mindy and Oliver were attracted to each other from the moment they first met. They spend a lot of time together during that week and grow closer. Their feelings become stronger. They want a relationship after that week, but they aren’t sure how to say it to the other.

I didn’t read Anaconda before reading this book, so it definitely can be read as a standalone. After meeting the characters from Anaconda, I want to read that book, because I like them a lot. They are great friends of Mindy.

Never knew that meeting Mr. Irresistible was this fun and crazy! I have read a few good number of fake engagement romances but I still can't get enough of the trope. While most NA romances get me hot and bothered with the male characters, this time, Oliver also got me laughing out loud, swooning with anticipation and blushing like the reddest rose in the world.

Mindy had been telling her family about her beloved boyfriend Harold for about a year already. Now that her mom was getting remarried, she insisted on meeting Mindy's fiancé. Easy peasy, right? Wrong! Because Harold the boyfriend didn't exist, but she didn't want to disappoint her family, so she took the matters in her hands and got her BFF Briana to help.

And Harold finally came to life in the form of Oliver Steele. Dashing, funny, gorgeous straight out of GQ magazine and most importantly, oozing with sex appeal. Her mom, grandma and sister would definitely like him, but would she? She didn't know zilch about him, he never followed her rules, and he made her squirm like a worm with his touch.

I enjoyed every bit of this story because the characters we're funny and alluring. I always love a good laugh with my books and Lauren Landish delivered. Although the story was quite steamy, it was full of scenes you never want to miss. Everyone was simply irresistible!

Mr Fiancé by Lauren Landish a blissful five-star read. This is a stand-alone book, but you do see Brianna and Gavin ‘Anaconda’ Adams pop up which I personally loved as I adored Anaconda when I read it, and I has high hopes for this book when I saw it coming, needless to say it didn’t let me down. I loved this story so much, I adored Mindy and her lack of filter when she popped up in Anaconda so was so happy we got to see so much of her when she got her own book.
Mindy Isabella Price has a good life even if it can be hectic running the Bengals Den, but as her bestie owns the place it’s not too much of a challenge, the challenge in her life comes from her family. The challenge from them comes due to the fact Mindy told them that she has had a fiancé called Harold for over a year, and now there is a family wedding and Harold’s presence is needed. Not really a challenge until you find out Mindy may have told a tiny fib to get her mum off her case and Harold may not exist. This leads to much hilarity and Bri and Gavin stepping in to help.
Oliver Steele is tall, cocky and rich, it also helps that he is panty wettingly handsome and he is the one who has agreed to step in to ‘Harold’s’ shoes, for a week to help. Not that he does it for altruistic reasons, but that’s digressing. One week is all they have to pretend to be together, but one week may be to long. Oliver doesn’t like to follow the rules, he lives to push boundaries and enjoys taking things to far, will he push Mindy to breaking point? Or will they make it down the fake aisle for real?
I would marry Oliver in a heart-beat, but Mindy isn’t me, she is a strong willed, woman who makes a mean coffee, and has a good heart, she would do anything for her friends and family, even if it breaks her. This book is so funny you will laugh out loud, but it’s also so sweet it will guarantee your teeth will ache, ache in a good kinda John Wayne way.

We first met Mindy in Anaconda, and this is her story. Mindy's mom is getting married and is expecting Mindy to attend and bring her fiance. Oliver is the man for the job, but they're both so strong-minded and wanting to top each other. Meanwhile, through the fake engagement, they're finding themselves unable to deny their very real attraction. This book has all the makings of a fantastic, fun romance. Loved all the characters, and the steamy scenes were so hot! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I adored Mindy in Anaconda and was so happy she got her own book. I loved how light of a read this was, it was the perfect rom com book to me!

In order to get her meddling mom to stop pestering her about her love life Mindy comes up with she thinks is the perfect lie and tells her mom she's engaged to the worlds most perfect man, and that works till she's invited to her moms wedding and everyone is excited to meet her non existent fiancé. Her bff Brianna's husband Gavin helps her out when he makes a deal with Oliver to play the part.

When Mindy and Oliver meet is when the real fun begins, lol. The second she sees him she knows she's in a lot of trouble and in true Mindy fashion jumps in head first.

I'm hoping Rosie will get a book too now!!!!

This is a great fast paced story of how love can find you even when you are trying to fake it!! Mindy is stuck between a rock and a hard place and needs to find a Fiance to take to her mom's wedding. Enter Oliver Steel and all that is the cocky arse that will light a fire in Mindy. The whole things really starts as a week filled with one lie after another, but it becomes evident pretty quickly that these two might have found more in the other than they every expected!! The chemistry is off the charts between these two and that just adds to the whole drama. I will admit that I wanted to take both of them aside and slap come common sense into them, but they it appears their story to a HEA need that time apart to unify their future.

I need to tackle Gavin and Bri's story next, but please say that we are going to get one for Roxy and Tony!!

There's nothing fake about how much I loved this book!

If you read Lauren's last fabulous release, Anaconda, then you'll definitely remember meeting Mindy. She's the fun, feisty best friend of Bri. Mindy has no filter and is absolutely unapologetic about it, which makes for some hilarious moments throughout the story. Little did we know that when we met her family, we would see that she definitely comes by that trait honestly!

Serial dater/party girl, turned workaholic since becoming a co-owner of the coffee shop she works in, Mindy told a fib to her mother about a year ago. She was fed up with fending off questions about when she was going to settle down and start making some grand-babies, so she lied and told her mother that she was happily engaged. This was no problem when their interactions were kept to just phone calls, but when Mindy's mom calls to invite her to her wedding, she's forced to either fess up or produce a handsome, rich fiance as her date to the wedding.

Bri's well meaning husband Gavin makes an arrangement with one of his good friends and poker buddies and although skeptical at first, once Oliver saw a photo of Mindy, he was all in. More than Mindy could have ever dreamed up in her own imagination, Oliver is handsome, wealthy, smart, funny and charming, not to mention panty-melting sexy. She tries to set some ground rules for their week-long sham engagement, but it's quickly made clear that following rules does not interest Oliver in the least.

Their chemistry is absolutely electric from the first innocent touch. As the week progresses it becomes harder and harder for Mindy to keep her distance. Oliver is not only charming her entire family, but he's also charming Mindy. The lines between what's fake and what's real, start to get very blurred. Their bodies are very on board with the intimate developments of their relationship, but it's when the hearts start getting involved that it gets really real.

Will Mindy and Oliver be able to keep up the ruse until the end of the week? Will they be able to walk away from each other after starting to have genuine feelings for each other? There's so much potential for hurt feelings and broken hearts, but what if it could actually work? It could be forever kind of love that Mindy's been looking for.

This was the perfect romantic comedy. Funny, sexy and witty with a touch of angst and a beautiful happy ending. I absolutely loved this book!

Lauren Landish does it again with a book that will have you laughing and cheering on the characters, Mindy and Oliver. We were introduced to Mindy in Anaconda and I have been waiting for her story since then and the author doesn't disappoint. She had me laughing in the first book and it continued in this one. All the characters had me laughing especially Mindy's family when we get to meet them when Mindy has Oliver pretend to be her fiancée. Oliver is Gavin's friend and when Oliver loses in poker to Gavin, instead of paying him the almost half million, Gavin tells him he doesn't have to pay him if he poses as Mindy's fiancée for a week. What a week it is with Mindy's mom getting married, between meeting everyone, doing all the pre-wedding traditions and just spending time together, the fake becomes more and more real.
What I enjoyed is not only the banter, the jokes, the laughing that the author pulls off but the characters that Lauren Landish has written, Oliver is of course a hot alpha male but he's not a man wh***, he looks after his mom and is starting his own company...refreshing....and Mindy has sass but also tries to please everyone else, looking after them and not worrying about herself.
A GREAT GREAT read that will have you laughing and maybe a little misty eyed as well, along with the steamy scenes....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! 5+++++++ stars

I was super excited when I started reading Mr. Fiancé and realized who this book’s heroine was- if you read Anaconda then you will remember Mindy – the heroine’s sassy BFF . Well this is her love story and what a story it is.

Mindy is now the manager at Beangal's Den Coffee House. She gets a call from her mom telling she is getting married and she (Mindy) better come home for the wedding with her “fiancé” .Mindy now has to find someone to pretend to play her “loving fiancé “ but who? She turns to her BFF Brianna who confers with her hubby Gavin. He has a friend named Oliver who owes Gavin a pretty huge sum of money from when they played poker and if Oliver helps Gavin with this “favor”, he will wipe out that debt. Well, then Oliver will be playing the “ loving fiancé “ to Mindy.
Their mutual beneficial fake arrangement ends up evolving into a real relationship. There is angst, passion(A LOT OF), tons of humor, sassy banter, great chemistry between the main characters and fantastic secondary characters making reappearances. I adored the sexual tension which led to some awesome lovemaking scenes. Lauren Landish outdid herself with the followup to Anaconda. Mindy and Olivier- They had fabulous banter and hot chemistry. I look forward to reading what Ms. Landish puts out next.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we me Oliver Steel and we get Mindy Price's story (we meet Mindy in Anaconda). When this book opens up we find Mindy still working at the same coffee shop in the hotel we found her working at when we met her in Anaconda. However now she works for Gavin and Brianna instead of the hotel as their manager. Though she has dreams about owning her own coffee shop she knows she has bigger fish to fry right now. When her mother calls to tell her she is getting married in two weeks and the fake fiance she has had for the last year, well her mom wants to meet him. What's a girl to do well first freak out, second ask her best friend to help out. Can she trust the guy though or will she find that the lies she has told in the past will just be to much for the present?

Oliver isn't looking to settle down with anyone so when all the guys at his poker game start talking about their wives he starts tuning out. Oliver has a lot on his plate and adding a permanent woman in the mix just isn't in the cards right now. However when he looses a pretty big hand to Gavin he is handed a reprieve when Gavin tells him instead of money he wants him to help out Mindy. Gavin isn't buying however till he gets a look at the lovely Mindy. Will he find that their is more to them then their original agreement or will he loose something more precious than money before this is over?

This is a great book about not only finding love but finding that line that all of us have to walk with out families. This book has quite a few quirks in it that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I want to tell you more about it but don't want to ruin this book for any other readers. I will say that I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

As always Lauren brings her A game!

I loved Mindy and Oliver in this story. Mindy is a strong independent woman that doesn't want to disappoint her family. So when her mother calls and tells her that she is getting married and wants her and her fiance to come down for the wedding Mindy is in need of said fiance.
Oliver is finally living the life he wants for himself. He left his father's multimillion-dollar business and is looking after his mother. When he is playing poker with the guys and looses some major money. He is offered a way out of paying. Become the fake fiance for Mindy or pay up.

These two have some major chemistry right from the get go. The family is wonderful and insane, so you laugh a lot. I loved Mindy's sister (hope to get a story from her soon!) and Oliver does turn out to be a night and shining armor!

Mindy is the manager at Beangal's Den Coffee House. She's a hard worker and takes pride in her job. Mindy receives news of her mother's upcoming wedding and is expected to be in attendance. Her mother is marrying way above her station and this leaves Mindy with mixed feelings about her mother's motives. There's another more pressing matter for Mindy though, and it's a big one. Her mother thinks Mindy will be bringing her fiance as her plus one. Mindy doesn't have a fiance. What to do? What to do? Enlist the help of some friends to find you one.
Oliver Steele, cocky, rich, handsome and just the man for the job. Oliver is a distinguished, cunning businessman who likes his freedom, so when he's approached to play the part of Mindy's fiance, he balks first and then he sees her picture. Mindy is gorgeous. She's fun loving and full of life........Showtime!
Mindy and Oliver are wildly attracted to each other, but both are stubborn and want the upper hand. It's hard enough having to get to know someone over a period of months but these two have only hours to plot a believable cover story, one that can fool the toughest of critics. Time is running out for them. The lies and the deceit making it hard to distinguish real from fantasy. Playing pretend is fun but not as fun as playing for keeps. Words are spoken, but not the right ones. Sometimes the heart gets it but the head isn't on board as quickly.
A WELL WRITTEN, SASSY AND SWEET STORY WITH A CRAZY CAST OF CHARACTERS AND I LOVED EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM ! INTENSE CHEMISTRY WITH OFF THE CHARTS, SMOKING HOT SEX ! ! ! I hope to read more about ROXY and ANTHONY...maybe? AWESOME BOOK !

Loved this book!!
We met Mindy in Anaconda, Brianna and Gavin's story, and like most i was hoping she got her own story. I was not disappointed!
After constant nagging from her mother about her love life, Mindy tells her mother she is engaged. Then promptly forgets all about the lie. Well...that is until her mother tells Mindy to bring him to her wedding!! Now she needs a fake fiancé, and she needs one now!
Oliver has no interest ever in settling down. After losing a poker bet to Gavin, he is asked to do a favour. Oliver isn't interested until he sees her photo....
This book will have you laughing, probably in tears by the time you have finished.

Mindy's mom is getting married and asks her to be sure to bring her fiancé with her. For the past year, Mindy has been lying about having a fiancé in order to get her mother off her back. Remember the old saying, "Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive." Mindy's experience is an excellent example of this adage. Rather than fess up to the little lie about having a fiancé, she seeks out someone to pose as her fake fiancé. Oliver takes on this role as a favor to their mutual friend. A week of pretending...of adding on more lies...becomes overwhelming. Add to this, the hot chemistry between Oliver & Mindy and feelings become really complicated. What emotions are fake? What are real? The mountain of lies reaches a tipping point where it all comes tumbling down and vulnerable hearts are broken. Outstanding storyline that will mesmerize. This book is a fantastic 4.5 star read you really need to own asap.
I love Lauren Landish's books and this one is my new joint favourite by her.
I absolutely love Mindy Price who you may remember from Anaconda as she's Brianna's best friend.
Mindy is smart, funny and takes no prisoners she has no filter and I absolutely love her.She also has a massive heart of gold and would do anything for the people she loves.
Oliver Steele is an attractive millionaire with a sharp mind and an even sharper dress sense.
They end up meeting in a hilarious way thanks to a mutual friend and one week later crazy silly life has happened and things have definitely changed for everyone involved.
This has sassy banter, playing dangerous games and a chemistry that will keep you completely gripped throughout the book.
These two were made for each other and you will love their laugh out loud and heartwarming story.

I loved this book from Lauren Landish! I loved Mindy in Anaconda and am so glad she got her own book. When Mindy's mom calls and tells her that she's getting married the following week and tells Mindy to bring the fiance Harold she has told her family so much about Mindy finds herself in need of a fake fiance. Enter Oliver, thanks to a debt to Gavin, who will play her fiance and Mindy lays down the rules which Oliver vows to break. The week spent with her family has them both wondering if what started as fake will stay that way. Oliver is cocky, hilarious and sweet. Mindy is brash, hilarious and a family pleaser to the core. Add in Mindy's hilarious family, Gavin and Brianna making their appearances and an incident with her mom's dog digging in their bedrooms garbage followed by a long walk with said dog and I couldn't put this book down. Oliver Steele is every girl's dream fiance. Single, rich, good looking, and charming. The only problem Mindy has is that it's all fake. After losing a very large hand at poker with his buddy Gavin, Oliver agrees to settle his debt by becoming Mindy's fake fiance for a week while she attends her mother's wedding.

All is going well until lines get crossed and become blurred and real feelings become involved. They share some special bonding time together and share some very special and funny moments, one with her mother's dog Bertha is quite hilarious and memorable.

The wedding finally happens and their fake engagement is put to the ultimate test in front of Mindy's family and even though their feelings are becoming real, the lies they have spun ultimately blow up in their faces. Can Oliver prove that he really has fallen for Mindy and will she let him love her for real? Beautiful epiloge that will leave you feeling happy with their choices.

Loved it! I was thrilled to hear Mindy from "Anaconda" was getting her own book and it's better than I imagined. Mindy is a spunky, in-your-face kinda gal with a caring heart. There's one thing that shakes her confidence - her mother's expectations for perfect daughters. That little white lie Mindy told her mom a year ago is about to bite her in the butt and the neck and on her...well you need to read it.

I received an advance review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. This was truly a great book and can be read as a standalone. I would still suggest reading Anaconda to truly get the bond of the characters (and it's awesome). A tissue or two may have been destroyed during the reading of this book but I can be a romantic sap at times. I highly recommend this book.

When Mindy has to go to her mother’s wedding, she panics, as she has convinced her family that she is engaged. Now to find a fake fiancé urgently she enlists the help of her BF’s. Enter sexy business man Oliver, who is the last man that wants commitment. There is smoking chemistry between these two. I loved the banter with all of the secondary characters as well. Will Mindy and Oliver be able to convince her family? Will secrets come to light? Give this one a go, you will not be disappointed!
This story is full of humour, and is a sweet sexy read. This is Lauren at her best in my opinion! I adore all of this authors work, and I highly recommend for all readers. Amazing work Lauren!
