Damaged, More Than Lost
A nice compilation of some of her Harlequin SuperRomance efforts. The first three are an obvious grouping; the fourth is more loosely associated.
Christian, Jordan and Luke met in college, and became more than friends when they pooled their resources to purchase a white water rafting company they all worked for. Now in their early thirties, they have parlayed that initial investment into a business empire; these stories center on them finding their next stage and focus.
Jack followed a less directed path and ran into some emotional shoals along the way. Navigating his way back to calmer seas takes some doing; but they are all stronger for their efforts. Success isn’t necessarily built on balance, but on effort and focus on a goal. All four are successful; none are balanced in their personal lives.
There are reasons; but you will have to read to find them out.

Okay
Okay set of books that do have a link, more so in the first three than the last one. Think my favourite is the first read.

Overall, I would give this series a 3.5
The second book was my least favorite since it was a pretty typical insta-lust = insta-love romance and the couple just didn't make sense for me. 2*
Books 1 and 4 are very similar in that couples with a history and lots and lots of pretty serious baggage get their HEA. In both of these, I liked the protagonists while character development and pacing are very good for a romance novel. That said, the number of things thrown at these couples to deal with crossed over to just way too much. This author needs to follow the accessories rule where you look in the mirror and remove one item to avoid being over the top. There was just so much going on it was exhausting. 3* for book 1 and 3.5 for book 4 but book 4 could have been 4* with just a little restraint.
Book 3 with Luke and Liz was definitely my favorite as far as being an enjoyable if not particularly deep romance novel. I'm giving it 3.5* because the ending felt a little off for me. Otherwise, this slower to develop romance between two people who swore they'd never love again was a great feel good story.
The overall series gets a slight boost on the fact that the author puts more into character development than most in this genre and the pacing is always good. I get sucked into the stories early on and don't want to put them down. I will likely try others from this author.
