Basically, she says being royal isn't all it's cracked up to be, and she complains that the life she was forced to live was obnoxiously restrictive.

I enjoyed Eulalia's observations on the "gilded cage" of royal life, as well as her opinions & observations on extended royal families she visited in various countries & her travels in general. While the writing is not deep, she does discuss the waning interest of people in many European countries for royals to be a ruling class, the general trend toward democracy/socialism, & some analysis of the results of war with the hope that as countries & economies recover, peace will reign. This is a worthwhile historical artifact to read.
