The fourth installment in the Invaders of the Rokujouma light novel series follows the gang as they prepare for a school play. Each girl submits a script to their school's drama club with the inventive of gaining "room points" so that one of them can finally take over the apartment. Of course, no one gains control in this volume. But what would be the fun in that? There's 13 more English-translated volumes of this series at this point, after all.
In the novel, Theia gains a slight lead in the romance category. I liked the focus on her in this fourth volume, even though her repetition of "pleb" (whatever that translates to in Japanese) was a little annoying. I don't find her to be an annoying character overall, though I do like Yurika better at this point. I really thought Yurika would be a main character in this book-- while she's important, she's not the lead this time.
This series is pretty average still; it has all the cliches of a light novel, but it's still fun to read. Invaders of the Rokujouma has likable female characters that aren't the most unique or exciting, but are still pretty fun to read about. Volume four was nothing special, but still good.
invaders of the rokujouma vol 4: (the second volume I read today) Definitely, this volume was the best so far, who knew that a book about planning a stage play could be so interesting and fun to read. 8/10
Slow start as usual, but the second half was quite enjoyable. It help that a very big hint was drop out of nowhere in one of the scene, so this will kept me interested.
