Tamara had always been romantic. She knew that about herself. But she also liked to think she was realistic and that despite her overactive imagination, she knew better than to marry a man she’d only known for one night.

Then she met Dom and everything changed.

Now she’s a divorced woman with an ex-husband who’s quickly becoming one of her best friends.

Being friends with him isn’t the hard part. The hard part is not falling in love with him. Each day they grow closer and she realizes her drunk self might’ve been on to something. If only they hadn’t already ruined their chances for the sake of one night.

One amazing night.

But one night, nonetheless.

My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a free ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is Rebecca Egan's second novel, What He Forgot being her first published novel. I suspect that this author will get better with each new work, given that the second half of this story about this "married in Vegas" couple got more interesting and flowed more smoothly than the first. Tamara was fun-loving and "chill" whereas Dom was reserved and had difficulty forming real relationships and friendships. I really enjoyed Tamara's efforts to "not read too much into things" and then later her determination to get over Dom and refuse to live in self-delusion when he found he could not break the habit of a lifetime and open up to her and finally admit his true feelings for her.
Not a bad effort, but the writing would flow more smoothly if the author used less descriptive words when the dialogue makes it obvious that the vendor is irked or smirking. (There was a lot of smirking in this novel.)
Still, an enjoyable read and I suspect this author will only improve and write a fully natural story with a bit more experience. She just has to get out of her own way with overly descriptive words and long, involved sentences. I recommend this one for Married In Vegas trope fans.

Wisdom by Rebecca Egan is the story of Tamara and Dom.
What can go wrong (or right) when a drunk induced wedding with the sobering next morning after? This was a cute take on the strangers married in Vegas and the aftermath to a happy ending. Enjoyed their story and hope to read more from this author.

This didn't work for me.
I like a brooding Hero but to me this Hero and the subject seemed childish.
He struggles to open up to people but we have conversations about who us his friend. What is he 5?
The heroine laughs getting drunk and married to a stranger off as though it's one of life's experiences.
I just was expecting more depth.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than.
No cheating.
HEA.

Tamara and Dom married in Vegas after a drunk and hot night. Reality comes and they divorce.
Eventually they start to see each other and Tamara start to have feelings for him. Why is that??
Dom is very closed, rich and a very good person yet I did not get why he did not like to talk to people or he had
open up to Tamara.

Tamara is a good character but I did not know any of them fully. The romance is good but off sometimes.
The author spent a lot of time in details and just this and that in the romance that we just see until the very end.

Good book but I just could not fully get into the story. It just didn’t hit all the right notes for me. It just wasn't my cup of tea.

The author sent me an ARC (Advance Reader Copy) in exchange for an honest review. In no way, my reviews/opinions were affected or influenced by this.

This book got me hooked from the very start until the end. I adore this book very much! I giggled, I smiled, I even cried a little. The plot was amazing! This is not your typical boy meets girl love story. Which is really great!

I love Dom. I don't know why, but I could relate to him more than the other characters. I could understand why he was afraid to admit things. I could understand why he acted that way towards Tamara.

I really loved the story! I love the author's writing style. It was an easy read. While I was reading it, it felt like I was there in the story. And one of the things that made me finish this in one day is because it was really exciting. The author knew how to make you crave for what will happen next. It was fast-paced which I really like when I'm reading a book.

This is an unusual story in many ways, beginning from the name of the main character and ending with a plot development from divorce to friendship and then to the romance. The book contains several of my favorite tropes such as Vegas wedding, from friends to lovers, from divorced strangers to good friends. Moreover, it is a slow burn novel, which I actually enjoy in the last time. While reading, it took me some time to get used to the writing style. However, there were moments where I felt totally disconnected with the story. The main characters are portrayed as direct opposites, an oversharing heroine and a closed off hero. I do understand, what the author wanted to show with it, but extending those qualities to their limits just makes the story feel less real.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

It was a cute romance book. I love those kinds of books. The characters had great chemistry which is always nice when that happens. They were well written. Overall I really enjoyed it
