Alicia Dattner is a comedy writer and performer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She won "Best Local Comedian" in the East Bay Express, Best of the Bay 2011 edition. Her 2006 book, Getting Shit Done was intended as "a poignant and existential parody of David Allen's time-management book Getting Things Done."
She graduated from Hampshire College with a degree in filmmaking and screenwriting. She subsequently studied for four years in an intensive Method Acting and Diamond Heart Approach group with the Rob Reece Actors' Workshop. In 2009, Alicia graduated from the year-long life coaching and courseleader training program, Transformational Courseleader Training, taught by Arete Center for Excellence co-founder Guy Sengstock and Alexis Shepard. She has been a member of the professional Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humor and the Creativity Coaching Association. She has a thriving coaching business and works mostly by Skype. Alicia lives in San Francisco, California and travels to India frequently.
