What could be harder for Alison than hunting magical beasties? Meeting Mason’s parents.
Now she knows what Mason felt like meeting her father. Well, that was James Brownstone, so… maybe not.
No time to ponder impressing the parents anyway – she has other issues to deal with. Sonya’s father has reappeared, seeking their help. But will they?
And an unknown person has reached out to Tahir and Hana about Omni’s owner. Something smells a bit fishy about the whole situation – and it’s not Omni being a fish.
Whoever wants Omni is up to no good – members of the team are attacked on the same day in different areas of the city.
Bad move bad guys. You now have to deal with a pissed off Brownstone Security team. They don’t take kindly to someone hurting one of their own.
Can Alison and her team track down the people behind the attacks, find out what they want with Omni and prevent him from being taken by these magically enhanced hunters?
Judith Berens is a figment of your imagination, made up of the fevered brainpower of Michael Anderle and Martha Carr, fueled by a lot of people helping them out - as well as all of you, The Fans. Great stories mixed with a lot of great readers equals more adventures to follow.
Alison really thought she would get a break. If it's not the seventh order, it's the Tapestry. I believe that the sequels will be focusing on Omni a lot more now because of this. I have mixed feelings, it seems cute but it's no YTT. Also Mason starts messing with Alison in the ring store when people are following them, like great timing! Mason always calls her A, even nicknames are boring.
Yet another well written book on Alison Brownstone's life!
Between visiting Mason's parents for the first time, and confronting Sandy's father, Alison isn't having the most relaxing time of it, despite having organised some downtime for her main team.
Then, on the same night that Hana is walking Omni, and gets attacked, and viciously beaten, another group of the same people follow, and attacks, Marcus and Alison, too.
What they find out that night, begins another investigation for the Brownstone Security Services LLC!
I have to say that, although this one kept my interest, I'm finding the Tapestry group to not be as much fun, as the baddies.
I'm not sure what it is about them, but I think it's because there's no real emotion with them.
I think we all love to hate a good baddie, and the Tapestry, as yet, just haven't done enough to arouse my wrath against them!
But, I will see what happens in the next book, which is number eleven in the Alison Brownstone series: 'Keep Your Enemies Closer'.
As it's now silly o'clock in the morning, I'm going to finish off this review, then get this next book ready for me to read once I've caught up on some sleep, so I'll catch you on the flip side, once I've done this, to let you know what I think about it!
I will continue listening to the series because I love the universe, I just have to give some voice to a couple of things bothering me. Hannah, why are you such a bitchy, sappy, manipulative pet mommy?! I think I’m so annoyed because this tendency to treat pets like literal “children” is a personal pet peeve of mine. It also just seems rude for her to just shut down Tahir’s concerns about Omni’s origins, which sheds light on some unhealthy treasures in their dynamic. Unfortunately, Hannah’s character development has devolved in this book. I will now continue listening to the rest…
A new group of bad guys called the Tapestry are angering Alison, Mason, Hana and Drysi. They want Hana's shape-shifting pet and the team will not give Omni up, so they killed all the Tapestry baddies they sent but the promised there would be more coming and they would kill Alison and her team.
A bit better than the last book, with a few laughs. The thing is, one of the things I enjoyed most about the first 8 books in the series was several instances throughout them would have me laughing while I read. Alison and company run into another group coming after them and I swear she and her team have some of the worst tactics
Definitely recommend reading this book and the series. Captivating storyline that sucks the reader in until the very last word. Lots of laugh out loud moments, action and brilliant characters.
what can i say its alison brownstone book by michael anderle and if you don't known what that means quickly start buying Oriceran Series,Brownstone Series and others
Standard story, continuing the brownstone saga. The book seemed a little shorter than normal. Still I enjoyed it, and it seems Omni is even more special.
An underwater assignment, a mysterious group after omni a meeting of parents, talk of next steps, good talks with dad and omni kicks butt are all a part of this adventure. Martha is my new hero. She has strength and courage abounding. Michael bows down and admires her which is pretty kick a$$ in my book. I am wondering when Michael left Vegas and got a house in Cali but that's it about the book. Lol I enjoyed the story and found it hard to put down as usual. I can't wait for more answers because I have some questions that need answered and well we got a little more info on omni. This rug group is just weird. I got the reference see tapestry, strands and weavers all make a rug or tapestry or blanket lol. I'm guessing there was alcohol involved in that naming. I love the new animals it's fun to find new ones. Enjoyed this adventure and the author notes. Score 1 for the wasps. Score 49 for Martha! Much love and prayers
Once again we are back in Seattle with Alison and her friends, Hanas pet Omni a multi shifter is the object of other people’s desires. Why is he wanted so badly that the bad guys are prepared to kill to get their hands on him? I downloaded this book yesterday night, and then went on to read it in one sitting! I’m now going to start book 11, (not sure how I missed this when it came out last month!) If you enjoy paranormal series with a strong female protagonist, then give this series a go, start with the books from the school of necessary magic and move onto these, you won’t be disappointed.
I enjoy the action, and the humor in this book. I enjoyed the lack of profanity as well. A good story can still be told without cursing. I still don’t like Hannah, I think a character is too flighty. She needs to grow up a bit. Her not giving any consideration that her creature could be dangerous was silly. And with all these characters you should have more crossovers. What’s the good of all these Great characters and you don’t have crossovers. Going on to the next book.
How much trouble can a little stray puppy cause? Well our favorite fox has fallen in love and intends to keep her new puppy/kitty/bunny/bird/lizard I’m sure I left out a few but it wouldn’t be a brownstone world with out extreme chaos.some big changes for Allison and mason (she finally meets the parents) finding a house that works for them as well as their favorite teen infomancer excellent story can’t wait till next
The personal growth of the characters as individuals and as a group is fascinating.
As always, we see lots of laughs, sarcasm, heroics, loyalty, scheming, and the good guys winning. As a bonus, we are also introduced to new bad guys. I’ve enjoyed all of Alison’s books, and this is no exception! Another excellent book, and I can’t wait for more.
Saving sea creatures, meeting parents and letting go. Taking on an army of bland assassins and Omni showing a new form. Alison and her crew are neck deep in it all, but are working hard to resolve everything. This action packed adventure hits the ground running and does not stop! Prepare to forgo sleep once you begin reading this book!
Not too much downtime for Alison and Mason. They do manage some, though, advancing their relationship. Babysteps, but moving in the right direction. As for the agency, it continues its own growth and cohesion. Some meaningful issues, and one really big challenge that may lead to future excitement. A solid Alison Brownstone adventure.
An enjoyable continuation of the Brownstone(s) saga. This story focuses in on Omni, the strange pet acquired by Hana. More fisticuffs as Alison and the team seek to understand the Tapestry and their opaque goals.
Alison and crew are involved in underwater battles, meeting her boyfriend's parents, and dealing with a deadbeat dad as a warm-up to handling a mysterious group seeking Omni. I like the action, humor, and romance. I look forward to the next book.
Though I seemed to have gone through it quickly it was full of good story.A new mysterious organization is going after Omni and it leads to a massive fight but few answers. Going to have to wait for answers.
