Update (July 7th 2020): With all the DNFing going on with this anthology I'll be putting this in my DNF pile.
_______________
I just finished reading Monster Ball and I'm excited to get into Year 2! It'll be the same as the last book: As I go through the stories I'll rate and review them. Be warned there may be quite a few DNF's and those won't get a rating. I'll also be marking the authors of each story with a spoiler tag because this novel was intended to be a blind release. P.S. Getting through this novel will probably take a while so please bear with me!

1. Eternal Magic - DNF

The start to both these anthologies have been rocky for me. This is going to be my first DNFed story of this novel. I gave it four chapters to pull me in and all it managed was to present a snooty, arrogant and full of himself hero. The concept of the story, the writing and the heroine seem great but being in the heroes head is annoying.

5. The Banshee's Song -

6. The Black Rose - DNF

This is where the lack of cohesiveness starts to bother me.

I quickly learned that this story wasn't for me. The main character seems to be a very creepy and vengeful guy (I didn't get far enough into the story to know if it was a guy or girl, so this is a guess). I picked up this anthology because I wanted PNR with a twist not anything like this story started out to be.

7. Lost Imprint - 3 stars
Started: Dec. 27 2019
Ended: Dec. 27 2019

As much as I liked this story it was too rushed even for a novella. The characters were plain, flimsy and didn't feel real enough. I could see a few sprinkles of world building but they were so deep in the background that they got lost along the way. Maybe my reaction to this story has something to do with the writing, I guess we'll never know.

8. Agents Of Night -

10. Turning The Tides -

11. From The Shadows - 3 stars

This story started off quite boring. I'll admit that until Rexton's secret is revealed I wasn't invested in anything. The main character had all these annoying ghosts messing with her. It's just not a concept I usually gravitate towards. Though after the reveal I would give a follow up book a chance when it gets released.

Who’s ready for year 2? I know I was certainly more than ready when ticket arrived. as soon I started this collection I knew it was well worth the wait, ,as I didn’t want to put it down.

These stories are all interconnected for one night only. The shared world that’s been built is brilliantly created, and each author has moulded their own attendees story to fit this collection perfectly, plus ensured that the other characters in the book are somehow mentioned.

It’s steamy, monsterous and oh so fun!!

I love that this initially is a blind release, as it makes the reading experience a little bit of a challenge to try to guess who may have written which story. I have my guesses and some new authors to add to my TBR, but as the saying goes “what happens at the ball stays at the ball”, so you’ll just have to one click this to read all about The Monster Ball Anthology - Year 2.

And if you can’t tell, I highly recommend this anthology from theses brilliant authors. Plus I can’t wait to find out who wrote which story.

The Monster Ball Year Two is Spicy and Sweet Saucy and Sassy Sensual and sexy. Each story is the definition of a work of art. Very descriptive and vivid like you are there with all the characters.
The Monster Ball is Back in a new place and it is hotter than ever . I love the way these new characters and stories interact more than the first year. And the new drink names I love. we also have some repeat characters from last year like the Dastardly Deeds and the Twin Gargoyles Bronx and Lex and the main Lady herself The Proprietor. Bam is a Master at creating these parties.
THE BLACK ROSE was written uniquely in a different POV than normal it also had me laughing a lot. it has one of my favorite quotes of the anthology “Darling, I’m not looking to own you. I just want to be with you. Just as you are. We are both monsters. But even monsters deserve love, don’t they?”
FROM THE SHADOWS Gabriella and Rexton are downright cute. I love how they interact with each other. And that ending was cute
ETERNAL MAGIC Katya and Dragnell are hot and spicy together This Card Mage and Dark Fire and Ice Wizard are just amazing together.
AS YOU WISH Ryan the genie and A;ayna the siren are both owned by demons. they have a fun chemistry together. We also get Rumors on why The Proprietor throws the Ball every year.
TURNING THE TIDES Ada is a Selkie & Henrique a Necromancer are a unique pairing that surprisingly go well as a couple.
ASSASSIN’S MATCH Tansy is a witch wanting a certain Grimoire at any cost so she can break a curse on the man she loves. Alexei is a hot complicated Master Assassin who cant love. Can Tansey find the right way to break his curse and make this Assassin love her.
SHADE OF DANGER A Ghost who becomes tangible and A Viking fall in love during the Ball Lina & Nord have a great connection im happy at the ending of their story line
THE BANSHEE’S SONG This one was so sweet I just loved these characters I liked the flashback memories of them together. It also had me crying at certain points it was so heartfelt I loved the comeuppance that the bad guys got at the end Revenge is sweet I say
AGENTS OF NIGHT Our Heroine Sabine has been mindwiped in the middle of an investigation. she is told to get close to our hero Blaze to get a tracker into his system. Is he the bad guy though she cant remember but our Lady host herself makes an appearance to her her get her memory back long enough to tell someone what happened and why.
SPIES LIKE US Tiegen & Sebastian are awesome
LOST IMPRINT I loved this one a lot Raine and Brandan are great. He is so sweet. But I want more of Ivory
ROYAL BLOOD This one is Intriguing I wouldn't mind reading more of Sarah and Tad
TWISTED TIDES Aqua and Breck are just awesome their story is just great and clever I loved the plot it was really well written
The Epilogue or after the ball is over had our guards the gargoyle twins, bartenders, band mates and Lady host talking about the night and about who might or might not be back next year . I loved that scene a lot because I think we need more with those characters
"To the Monster Ball," Lex Cheers.
" And to The Proprietor for bringing us all together." adds Bronx.
Here Here to that

After loving last years Monster Ball I was super excited for Year 2's ball. This anthology is filled by some brilliant authors who have worked together flawlessly to bring us this collection of stories.

What I love about anthologies is that you get to meet some new to you authors that you can fast become fans of but what makes this one different is you don't know who has written each novella as that has not been revealed yet as its initially a blind release.

Each novella features different main characters but they are all interconnected with the same secondary characters and brief glimpse of the main ones.

Each novella is griping and I honestly can't say any are my favourites over the others as each one brings you something different and I can't wait for the reveal of who wrote what and see what future books they bring out as the only critism I have is that these novella's aren't long enough! They have left me happy and wanting more.

I am keeping my fingers crossed for a Year 3 release next year as this is one Anthology that is a must read.

So much supernatural fun crammed in to one book. This is a perfect read for Halloweentime. Loved how consistent the many authors were in the description of the party, the staff working the various bars, and even certain events of the night. A major collaborative effort, and one that is very well done. I’d love to be whisked away by moonlight to an event such as this, so until then, get the book and live vicariously!

Here we are. Another spooktacular year. I got my shiny ticket and my best fashion wear on. Along with my dancin' shoes. And I'm ready to attend another year at the Monster Ball! Wonder what's in store for us this year? Another magical evening that's for sure. I can't wait.

Eternal Magic 5/5
This being the first story to start off the Monster Ball definitely started off with a bang. It introduced us to new characters and gave us the allure of what to expect when you attend the Monster Ball. Dragneel is a Dark Wizard on a quest. What he didn’t encounter was falling for a Mage with a sharp tongue and witty comebacks. This story oozed with some serious sex appeal and magical effects. I didn’t want it to end. And chemistry. Oh, the chemistry between these two characters was on fire. You could feel the heat and sexual tension melt off the pages. I didn’t want this story to end. Fantastic start to what is going to be a spectacular ball.

As You Wish 5/5
Oh MY GOSH!! I absolutely loved this story! Ryan and Alayna were absolutely adorable. Their story was sweet and sensual. And I just didn’t want it to end. I have to know what happens between them next! Fantastic job. This story was so far one of my top favorites!

Twisted Tides 5/5
This story. Oh my goodness. What more could you ask for? I mean come on! MER PEOPLE! I absolutely loved this story. Aqua and Breck were a breath of fresh air to read. Their chemistry and gah just everything about them I absolutely enjoyed. And Priscilla was a perfect villain in the story. I wouldn’t mind reading more of her. I need more. Fantastic job.

Shade of Danger 5/5
Wow. Another fantastic story in this stunning anthology. Nord and Lina was another breath of fresh air. I immensely enjoyed their story. And their story was one I didn’t want to end. Their chemistry and everything about them was definitely one for the books. Nord is your typical tough guy but, deep down is a big ol’ softy. And bringing him together with the right woman brings it out. Lina was absolutely adorable. I enjoyed her something fierce. I just wanted to coddle her. I can’t wait to read more of this story. Fantastic job!

The Banshee’s Song 5/5
Okay. This story was different from any story I have read in a long while. In my honest opinion, to me, it was hard to read so to speak. But, that was due to the language of the story. I still give it 5 stars because even though I had difficulty with the way it’s worded. I was still able to catch the meaning. The story as a whole. And this story was beautifully written. Even though I couldn’t properly connect with the characters it was the plot and the story itself I was able to connect with. And I absolutely loved it. Great job.

The Black Rose 4/5
This story was good. I enjoyed it. I would’ve enjoyed it a little more if it was in dual POV. The over-usage of “you” was a bit much for me. The overall story was good. I loved the connection between the characters. And I love the uniqueness of the pairing. A good story a part of a great anthology.

Lost Imprint 5/5
Aw. This story was sickly sweet. It melted my heart and turned it into a pile of mush. Brandon and Raine are absolutely amazing together. Their chemistry came to life on the pages. From the very first moment, they met to the very last moment of the story. I didn’t want it to end. I need to know what happens next. Bravo. Fantastically written.

Agents of Night 5/5
What do you get when a lapse of memory comes into play? You find deceit. Betrayal. Loss. But, what if one magical night can change everything and open your eyes to the truth? And find love where you least expect it? Well, when Sabine attends the infamous Monster Ball that’s exactly what she finds and more. Her chemistry with Blaze is blazin’ hot. When they come together it’s like sparks fly. I really enjoyed this story. Their witty banter and game of cat and mouse. Not to mention the sexual tension between them. Woo. Damn. This was an amazing story and I need more. Another favorite of mine. Great job!

Royal Blood 5/5
This story was packed with a lot of action and suspense. Being a princess attending a Monster Ball can be quite exhilarating and thrilling. And that’s exactly what Sarah experienced when she tended the ball. Not to mention she meets the alluring Thad and she creates a night to remember. It was a sweet story that I wouldn’t mind reading more of. I’d love to know exactly how their story ends. Great job.

Turning the tides 5/5
Aw. I absolutely adored this story. Ada, being a shy supe, ventures on an adventure that she needs to find the strength and courage to achieve. Along the way, she gains new friendships and new love. And she also discovers not only is she capable and strong but, there’s more to her than what meets the eye. Though I don’t think I’ve read a story that I really disliked the villain as much as I do the Magpie in this story. He was creepy and irritating. All in all, this was a fantastic story that I loved and I can’t wait to read more.

From the Shadows 5/5
I absolutely enjoyed this story. It was adorable. Gabriella and her naïve self. And then you add in Rexton and his suave sexy self. What more could you ask for? Oh, right attending a Monster Ball and not trying to be attached by a vampire while helping out a fellow party goer. This story was amazing and I would love to read more.

Spies like Us 5/5
This story was rather interesting. Different from all the rest and that’s what made me enjoy it so much. I can’t wait to read more. The chemistry between Tiegan and Sebastian was funny and quirky, then BAM it turns to smoking hot in a flash. I loved it! Great job.

Assassin’s Match 5/5
So much action. So much drama. All packed into a short story. I loved this story something fierce. It kept me on the edge of my seat from the beginning to the end. I didn’t want it to end. Tanzy and Alexei had just strong chemistry. You can feel the sexual energy oozing off the pages. But, more than that you could feel Tanzy’s love and heartache for Alexei come off the pages. I couldn’t get enough of this story. And that ending. Holy cow talk about a plot twist. I can’t wait to read what happens next.

Monster Ball Year 2 is edgier, sexier, and more intense than the last! It matches the location perfectly and will have you wishing you were monster enough for an invite. Prepare for stories that’ll have your adrenaline pumping, heart breaking, and body overheating. The stories are all woven seamlessly together with some crossover characters giving the feeling of being there in real-time. I also loved the unusual nature of the monsters this time around. Definitely my favorite anthology series!

Eternal Magic-
Like your romance with a little kick and tempting darkness, then this is the one! Prepare for a battle of wills and sexual tension that’s off the charts! I wanna be Katya and would love my personal Dragneel. The source of her magic was something I’ve never seen before and I loved it. A top three favorite of these stories!

As You Wish-
A lot of story crammed into a limited space but it was complex, introspective and left me curious and wanting. Their connection was sweet and I loved how they made the most of their night. I’m so glad the story will be continued in the future and look forward to an expanded story.

Twisted Tides-
A story that pulls at your heartstrings and has a little fairy tale flair to it! I loved the clever twists and second chance themes.

Shade of Danger-
I liked the mystery and Viking feel but the opening left me wondering where the story was going. Once at the ball, the story picked up and I fell in love with the connection between Lina and Nord. The mystery surrounding Lina and clues throughout the story left me wanting and I can’t wait for more of their story!

The Banshee’s Song-
Here’s the emotional ride you’ve been waiting for! It’s full of sorrow, deception, and longing that will break your heart before considering returning it. Beautiful scenery and descriptions but the complex names pulled me from the story a bit. Give them nicknames because the ending is worth it.

The Black Rose-
An exciting, entertaining story with cons, twists, and attitude that’ll keep you glued until the last page. I don’t recommend starting it while eating and the writing style is a bit unusual but overall, I still enjoyed it. I loved the character cameos and interaction in this too.

Lost Imprint-
An unexpected but well written and swoonworthy romance. The relationship and teasing between Raine and Ivory won me over from the start and it only gets better. Brandon was gentlemanly but sexy and alpha in a way that had me melting. A great story fans of shifters and alpha males are sure to love!

Agents of Night-
This story has it all…amnesia, tall, dark and sexy, and a panty parade! I admire the author’s ability to fit a complex story with well developed characters and a truckload of emotions into a novella without it feeling rushed or forced. I loved the chemistry and playfulness between the characters and was amped up enough to want to jump into the story and take someone out for their betrayal. A top favorite of the anthology for me and there’s going to be more coming!

Royal Blood-
A milder story of shirking duties, living for oneself and embracing opportunity. The longing, danger, and stolen moments of happiness, plus the ending was a refreshing difference to other stories in the anthology. I was left with some mystery and unanswered questions but it also adds to the charm of the story too.

Turning the Tides-
I don’t believe I’ve read this author before but the writing style and their story telling abilities have won me over! I loved the subtle, slow burn, witty ploy, and fellow monster camaraderie in the story. The villain is truly creepy and it contrasted well with the romance and family devotion. Definitely a favorite story and the ending lines were perfect!

From the Shadows-
Gah, this story was incredible and an almost instant favorite! It’s quirky, sweet, and I’ve adopted Stacy and Gabriella as besties for life. I love the ghost characters and the heat exchanged between Gabriella and Rexton. I knew I’d love the story after the first two paragraphs and I wasn’t disappointed. This is another of my favorites of the whole set!

Spies Like Us-
Feel like kicking butt, taking names, and getting some sweet revenge, check this out! I loved Teigen’s sassiness and stubbornness and her ability to get in and out of trouble at every turn. Bash is my type and I couldn’t help but fall for him. An adventure of a story that moves quickly and is certain to keep you entertained.

Assassin’s Match-
Whoa, didn’t see this one coming! Mystery, unrequited love, and a shocking twist that’ll leave you with warm fuzzies and pleasantly surprised. I love the mix of supernaturals and the hard choices Tansy faces. It’ll keep your adrenaline pumping and have you on the edge of your seat rooting for the characters to find a way.

It shouldn't have surprised me that the second year of The Monster Ball was a amazing as the first, and in some ways better, but it did. I was swept to this ball on the magic moon and was able to see it from so many different angles. Some of the characters crossed over and the setting was described in such a way that I truly believed each story took place at the same place and with the same people.

I had my favorites as I did last year - Twisted Tides, The Black Rose, Eternal Magic, Turning the Tides... Oh, what am I saying? I loved them all. The characters are colorful, each attending the ball for different reasons, all of them looking for something that puts meaning into their lives. It was fun watching them interact, fall in love, defend themselves. find their endings or new beginnings. And there was tons of romance mixed with a bit of steam. Something for everyone in a fantasy world. And finally meeting the proprietor gives us a look into the person who makes these balls happen each year. It would be terrific to see the proprietor get the same satisfaction out of the ball as everyone else does. Perhaps next year.

As I've said before and I'll say again, this was a brilliant idea on the part of Bam Shepherd because it brings together a wealth of authors and characters in a setting that each of them can come alive. Some of the stories come to a conclusion while others will lead to a series or are involved in a series by that particular author. Whichever ending was involved, I was introduced to new authors I look forward to reading in the future and entertained by authors I'm already familiar with who make me want to read more of their works. It was wonderful, and I can't wait to attend next year's ball.

This Book SLAYED it 100%

The Monster Ball year 2 came to slay, and BAYBEEE, it has slayed the house down!!!!

13 Awemaztastic authors have come together to bring readers an immersive interconnecting unique and just simply amazing reading experience. I have been dying to see where year 2 would take place and what great characters and stories the authors would come up with this time around. You don't have to have read MB year 1 to enjoy year 2, only the band, doormen, and bartenders are returning characters. I don't think there was a dull moment to be had at this year's ball.

It was actually Monster Ball year 1 that started me reading anthologies and year 2 has broken the glass ceiling on how amazing an anthology can be. I came to year 2 because I loved year 1 so much and couldn't wait to see what would happen this time around. I'm happy they did another blind release for the first week because many people, me I'm talking about me, tend to skip to the stories by the authors they know and only read those. But this way the reader gets to love a story for the story itself and not just because of who wrote it, giving readers the opportunity to discover new authors. Thank you Bam for bringing all these authors together, and thank you to all the authors (you ladies ROCK) for another epic Monster Ball!! Hoping for a year 3, hint hint, fingers crossed. #2019MustReadAnthology

The Monster Ball is back with a vengeance. The absolute best paranormal romance authors were faced with a challenge. Year 1 left you breathless and desperate for more....How do you top that? I'll tell you how, by inviting even more creatures to the ball with even better stories. I love how each story is simultaneously occurring and melting into the next.
This year starts off hot, sexy and intense. You have to respect a monster who walks in to the ball 5'2, wearing six inch thigh high heels and ends up taking what she wants! Follow that up with a second chance romance while avenging your family! Every style of romance is literally written in the finest form in this anthology! I can't get past how each story has a drink that makes you want to put your mixologist hat on, make a drink and dive in even further into this ball! Every story should be enjoyed just like a good drink, take your time, savor it, and go back for more. My mind is blown and yours will be too. This is one night to remember...This anthology is like no other...Dive in, sit back and enjoy. BRAVO to the authors....I hope this night ball never ends.

Monster Ball year 2

Lots of fun and games in this year's book, a variety of characters and story lines. Each author puts their own spin on the monster ball and keeps to the same over all story line. Enjoyed but didn't keep me as engaged as year one did.

Welcome to THE MONSTER BALL. Make sure to reserve your ticket and get ready for some amazing characters!!

"Just as the moon has
brought me to you,
So shall the moon bring
you to the ball.
All Hallows Eve.
The Witching Hour." THE MONSTER BALL: YEAR 2

The characters in each story were phenomenal. I can't really say that I had a favorite because you just can't pinpoint one favorite because each Paranormal character was so awesome!!

The story-line to each story was fast paced but incredibly addicting and I can't really choose which one I loved more because each individual story was so memorable and I couldn't get enough.

The authors are so fantastic. 13 Award Winning, Bestselling Authors blew me away with their stories. Each of these authors are incredibly talented and have their own style of writing, but they made each story come to life and they all fit very well within this anthology. This is for sure my favorite Spooky Anthology for 2019 and I highly recommend it!!

The Monster Ball Year Two filled with five-star reads. I love the way this anthology works, part of the fun of reading is trying to figure out which author wrote each story, it just added an extra sparkle to the stories, I was convinced I knew a couple and then I would read another story and not have a clue again. I will be honest and most of the stories I would give five-stars each, a couple I would give four to and one I would give three. What I loved most was watching out for characters popping up in the other stories, I always love that. It shows the quality of all of the authors as they all bring something special to the table and they each keep the story going so well that you don’t realise that its different authors telling their own stories. This team always bring the scares as well as the great stories.

Loving all the authors!

Do you like steam and paranormal fantasy and parties? The Monster Ball anthology is the perfect book for you. I orginally picked this up because it has a few authors that I love, but it's a blind release and none of the short stories have the authors names on them. Doesnt matter, read them all!! They are so good. And now I have a few more authors on my TBR list. They are short stories and it just made me want to dive into these worlds they created even more. My favorites are about a genie and one about assassins, but I loved them all. I also really enjoyed how they all collaborated and each of the stories had the same details about the party and you should definitely read them in order if you want to get the most out of the book. This was really well done and sexy and fun and I cant wait til next year's Monster Ball!

The Monster Crew is back and better than ever!

Year 2's anthology blew me away. The work and planning that goes into a night of revelries with shared staff characters and sightings/interactions between novellas is phenomenal. This anthology takes a year to put together. Well worth the energy for all the mystery, fun, and romance packed between its pages.

Read it any time during the read. And remember, each year is a limited edition that retires the following fall.

We hope to see you at the ball!

A stunning anthology where each story is woven together so wonderfully that you can only WISH that you were granted a moonlight invitation to attend. I’ve read other anthologies that are so loosely put together that all that binds them is the fact that they are published together. Between the authors interacting in each other’s stories and the overall attention to detail for the ball itself, this anthology stands heads and shoulders above all others!

Highly Entertaining

I vaguely remember MB1 but I have no doubt I won’t say the same thing about this one. I was engrossed from start to finish. I loved the characters and although they were “monsters” I loved their very normal humanity in the face of decisions and the possibility of love. This wasn’t a fast read for me. I took my time with each story because they demanded it. Great job to all the contributors.

OMG I thought Year One was a blast and the phenomenal authors ;however Year Two bought out the some phenomenal authors from Year One but Year Two absolutely rocked it. The Monsters were off the charts and the stories meshed even better. I'm so lucky to have read both years. I'm looking forward to Year Three. Phenomenal Anthology.

Simply amazing, just like last year. This anthology goes where no anthology has gone before and presents stories in a whole new way. You could read each happily on its own, but you'll want to read them all together!

This is one of my favorite anthology. I truly enjoy “The Monster Ball” anthologies. Year two definitely did not disappoint. This time around there was quite the variety of “monsters” supernatural characters. Which was pretty cool. A lot of the stories had an undertone of similar stories but it didn’t take away from the enjoyment of each story. I love how most of the stories intertwine with each other and this year it was so cool to have hints and interaction for THE Proprietor of the Monster Ball. I highly recommend this anthology.

Story One: “Eternal Magic” This story was so fun to read. It was interesting to read about Katya and Dragneel adventures. It was great to see hints of the Proprietor in this story as well. Katya is a very interesting character. The dual POV was great as always; between Katy and the dark wizard, Dragneel. I love getting both points of view of the story. It adds to the understanding. Dragneel is dark and sexy and his chemistry with Katya was hot. The game of the card was epic and wow what an ending. Excellent story.

Story Two: “As You Wish” Love the genie main character of this story. And so much fun to read to read with the main character as a male. This storyline was interesting with the characters having a chance to “break” from their trapped lives. Ryan and the female main character, Alayna growth through similar circumstances begin a budding romance. I’m happy to see there will be a continuation of these characters outside of the Monster Ball anthology. I hope they find their happily ever after.

Story Three: “Twisted Tides” This was a very unique. Breck a hunter is ready to be done with his current lifestyle. He has one purpose for The Monster Ball and that is to find a special monster. One he hasn’t seen in a long time. Aqua is a Princess and set to become Queen soon in her sea world. She is looking for a fun night, however without her guards it may be a dangerous night, especially with the sea witch in attendance. The reunion of Aqua and Breck has many ups and downs and I was biting my lip and nails the whole story.

Story Four: “Shades of Danger” Wow this story was not what I expected and was completely awesome. It’s from a Ghost Point of view. This ghost, a female, has a chance to attend The Monster Ball. Nord, a Viking like guardian on break also gets a chance to attend The Monster Ball. However he is not so excited to go. Right away Nord is drawn to a woman at the ball and knows he is her guardian. I enjoyed reading this story and I’m excited to see that these characters will have more stories to come outside The Monster Ball.

Story Five: “The Banshee’s Song” A Banshee, how sweet is that. I had never imagined reading a story about a banshee as the main character. What a fascinating story, especially how she turned from a Goddess to a Banshee, along with her sister. Gwyn is the Lord of the Hunt and has an interesting past with Aoibheall, the banshee. Their reunion was jaw dropping and full of betrayal, discovery, and growth. Excellent story. I wish there was more from these characters.

Story Six: “The Black Rose” Wow I didn’t know you could steal a ticket to The Monster Ball. Or . . . was that part of the Proprietors plan? Hmm Devin needs to go the ball to recover something important to his coven. This story was the first time I had read where the main character (male) refers to the other character and love interest as you. I can’t think about what it’s called in the writing world but it’s as if you the reader is that character. It was really cool to read it that way. It’s a very interesting story and keeps you as a reader invested. Great character building between the male/female characters and I love the supporting character Garsh.

Story Seven: “Lost Imprint” This was a very short story but had a wonderful love story. It would have been great to get more storyline with these characters after the Monster Ball. Raine is the first “human” that has been invited to the ball, so she thinks. I enjoying reading how Raine comes to learn more about herself and who she really is. One of the six council members of the Supernatural city Raine lives, sexy and sought after, Brandon Rivera helps Raine with her discovery. Great chemistry between these characters.

Story Eight: “Agents of Night” Wow this story had my attention from page one. Agent Sabine gets her memory wiped and is send on a mission at the ball. However since she doesn’t get an invitation she has to steal one. So much happens for Sabine during the ball including some interaction with The Proprietor. Awesome I really enjoyed how this story plays out. Sabine and Blaze have amazing chemistry and what a mystery on how she may have known him before her memory was wiped. I’m very excited for more of these characters.

Story Nine: “Royal Blood” Sarah, a Princess attends the ball alone and with out her royal guards. Two different vampires vie for her attention, Mat and Tad. This story was very interesting with Sarah’s experiences with both these different vampires. I wish there was continuation of the story between these characters but it ends at the ball.

Story Ten: “Turning the Tides” This story was heartbreaking and nail biting at throughout. But a good HEA. Definitely a great story. Ada, a selkie, is trying to rescue her Mum and Aunts from the evil bird like man. Her only chance is at the ball. With her new friends, Nia the fun Dryad and a druid help she has a chance to rescue her families pelts. Their experiences are nail biting and will keep you on your toes. A certain hot, sexy, Necromancer plays a special role in Ada’s story as well. An excellent and unique story.

Story Eleven: “From the Shadows” Gabriella can hear and see ghosts, some of them are her friends. As she attends the ball, a ghost asks her for help. As she helps this ghost with another that is like her, she learns there is more to her abilities than she thought. This is a great character growth story. I’m excited for more stories about these characters.

Story Twelve: “Spies Like Us” Dhampir vampire is eye candy for a full blood vampire. Little does the vampire know that the dhampir isn’t who he really thinks she is. This story was very interesting. The ending was not what I had expected but in a good way. The characters are developed well so you like who you should and dislike who you should. Great fun story to read. Very spy like and another fun appearance by the Proprietor.

Story Thirteen: “Assassin’s Match” This story was amazing with all the emotions. WOW. Tanzy’s story has so much going on especially when she crosses the path of her ex. There is an epic battle towards the end that has your on pins and needles with how it turns out. Very fun and surprising ending. I really wish we had more stories on these characters. It would be fun to see what happens after the ball.

Overall another amazing and epic Monster Ball. I love seeing the Proprietor in this year, especially in the note at the end of the book. As usual, the supporting Monster Ball characters are awesome and interact so well throughout all the stories. I can’t wait for Year three.
