This book details at least 3 or perhaps 4 (I was losing track) pedophilic and incestuous relationships! It includes a very sad and sordid description of a 10 year old being raped by an adult male and supposedly enjoying the experience. I am throwing this book out to make sure no one else will read at least this copy. I can’t understand the motivation to write something like this. I found it depressing and felt physically repulsed. I kept reading because I thought there would be some point to all these gratuitous sexual misalignments. Alas there was not.

Returned to this book after having read it twenty-five years ago. Still a good read, mixing exotic settings, still relevant international issues, and romance. Not great literature, but suspenseful enough to keep one turning the pages. Ending unravelled for me, but very enjoyable read nonetheless. Recommended, despite the relatively few stars. The rating system should really be on a 10 point scale, in which case I would give it 3.75 stars.

I'm sorry I wasted my time reading this book. Towards the end, there were so many twists and turns I couldn't keep track of all the characters.
