Mr. August started with 1 look.
Professor Hottie, aka Liam Conrad, stops to get his morning coffee before starting his new job as a filling photography professor for a university.
Perry is in her last year of school majoring in photography at the local university.
While Perry is enjoying a cup of coffee while working on a photograph she recently took she looks up to find an older sexy as hell man openly staring at her causing her to blush. Liam is floored by the irresistible gorgeous young woman at the coffee shop but he leaves without saying Hi and wishing he had. Then as he is getting ready to teach his 3rd yr photography class, She walks in. She being the gorgeous young woman from the coffee shop.
Perry is instantly smitten with the professor, whom her best friend has nicknamed Professor Hottie. Perry and Liam do everything they can to fight their growing attraction that is threatening to boil over. Until one day he catches her working on a photograph that isnt part of the assignment. Staying after class, Liam shows her a technique to make the picture be perfect. Unable to help himself he tells her about a place where you can get the perfect picture of a sunrise high in the mountaintops. Without thinking he asks Perry to join and thats where things take a turn unable to stop the impending apex, they KISS. A kiss that you can feel to your soul as a reader.
Everything is going smoothly even though they have to hide their relationship due to the student/teacher aspect. But everything starts to derail when Liam is told, in front of Perry, about an emergency with his....WIFE.... Grab this book to see the story unfold in ways you cant see coming. Nicole Goodin is able to draw readers in with her great storytelling ability as well as the ability to make the readers feel what the characters feel. Illiciting emotions from readers consistently is hard to do, yet Nicole is able to that time and time again. I can not wait to read her next book in this series.

I have not read a bad book from this author yet and this book is no exception! The great plot and character development kept me so engaged throughout the entire book that I had a very hard time putting this book down until the very last page was turned!

I LOVED THIS BOOK! This series just keeps getting better and better! The chemistry I felt between Liam and Perry from the moment they first saw each other was out of this world. Of course problems arise when Perry realizes that the hot guy at the coffee shop just so happens to be her new Professor!
Hooked from the moment I started reading I could not put this book down. There were a few twists and turns thrown in that I was not expecting and this made me feel all of the feels! I loved these characters, the story line, the writing, EVERYTHING!

Liam is filling in for a teacher at the university. Perry has a class in photography there. The two have already met at the coffee shop and sparks were flying. This is a student/teacher romance and is a sweet, steamy, sexy story. A recommended read.

This was a good read. Liam is a teacher and Perry is his student. This makes their relationship taboo. However, they fall in love quickly and to them it's worth it. Thankfully everything works out in the end and they get their happy ending.

Ms. Goodin has written another story that has you drooling over the man of the month. Each month you read you will fall in love. I can truly say WOW, WOW and WOW! I just can not get enough of these men of the Months.
Just when you think it couldn’t get any better than Mr. June and July, you are proven wrong. Mr. August has you definitely wanting a man like him for yourself. Ms. Goodwin makes the story so real that you feel like you are right there in the book. The passion and the storylines are awesome, they truly draw you in and you don’t want to put the book down.

I'm honestly really conflicted, because it wasn't that bad and the age gap wasn't that scandalous, but teacher-student romances have always bothered me. There is something about the power dynamic that just doesn't sit right with me.
There is definitely progress made with the writing, the previous books were much worse. The storyline was much more full and realistic, like the author spent more time building this story.
I don't really know if I liked the main characters I have to think it through.
Overall it wasn't bad, just not my cup of tea.

My first thought while reading this was, “where were all the hot professors like Liam while I was in college?” 🤨 with that being said I am definitely jealous of Perry and Professor Hotty. Although forbidden their connection was undeniable and very hot 🔥
Liam is a first year professor trying to get his life back to normal and sees a beautiful girl who he’s instantly attracted to at the coffee shop but he’s not about to approach her but when she shows up as one of his students he realizes she’s even more off limits. But when extra help turns into alone time off campus there’s no stopping the inevitable. But when Liams past comes up it was such a twist i didn’t see coming and made me feel for him. He needed Perry more than he realized and they were perfect together and I loved their HEA.

A well written, sweet romance. I liked both MCs which doesn’t happen a lot. Liam is so wonderful and Perry knows who she is and what she wants. I even really liked her friends. The love scenes are rather brief so if you’re looking for something super steamy, you won’t find it here. It’s a pretty straightforward student/teacher romance with a HEA.

I really liked this one. Their love was strong enough to overcome so much. And the whole situation with his wife, my heart broke for all of them. Perry was a strong young woman that didn't give up despite the mess it all was and Liam was a very good man that knew what he wanted and went and grabed it with both hands

On the first day of Liam’s new start, he lays eyes on a gorgeous woman while he grabs coffee on his way to work. So what are the chances that she ends up sitting in the front row…of his photography lecture?! I felt their electricity. It was instant, and unavoidable. (And I loved every second of it.) After seeing Perry’s photography, he says he has high expectations for her…and I had high expectations of them. And none of us were disappointed! They do their best to fight this attraction. It’s not exactly appropriate; professor and student. It lasted a day. To be more accurate, it lasted a class. Liam very quickly decides to stop letting himself ignore his feelings for her, and she makes the same decision. They’d rather hide than fight this pull. I can not tell you the pure happiness it brought me when NOTHING WENT WRONG!. God that was so refreshing! We got hit with a curveball, that’s for sure! But both Liam and Perry did everything that I believe their characters would do. And most importantly, they trusted their love. She was everything Liam needed. The gold at the end of the rainbow that he deserved. Can I have a full length version of this?! Just full of fluffy domestic cuteness?!

This is the 8th book of Nicole’s Calendar Boys series and it just keeps getting hotter! This one truly is one of my favorites. (Mr. March is still my all time favorite.) Liam has had a very tough year and is facing his life in a direction he saw coming. He’s trying to heal from it and to figure out where he goes from here. When he gets asked to reach for a semester at the local university he decides to go ahead with it. Perry is a very young woman finishing her final year at the university. Her goals are simple; stay on task and finish her final year in photography stronger than last year. All that gets flung out the window when her sexy as sin professor walks in on day one. How can she be expected to pay attention when the teacher looks like that? Even more so, why is he looking at me with a look of fascination on his face that mirrors her own? After weeks of fighting their temptations they finally give in. They decide for now it will be best to keep their budding new relationship between themselves. A forbidden romance, chemistry that will not be denied, and a big secret. These are the ingredients for Mr August. I was so riveted by this story that I could not put it down! How many of us remember having unrequited crushes on our teachers at school? Perry is so lucky that her dreams come true.
Liam is unable to look away from the beautiful girl that he sees in the coffee shop, and is shocked to find that she is a student in his photography class. Student/teacher love affairs are grounds for job dismissal for him, and being expelled from college for her if they are found out, but they are unable to help themselves and risk everything for love. Unfortunately, Liam is hiding a big secret that has to be resolved before he can find happiness with Perry.
The smoking hot chemistry between these two characters almost scorches the pages. It's too bad that Liam hid his secret from Perry and she had to find out the way she did, but that is what makes a good story as you feel the pain and angst of the characters as well celebrate their good times. This is not to be missed as are the other books in the Calendar Boys series, which can all be read separately.

An enjoyable read. Light and entertaining, with plenty of feel-good moments. I liked the teacher/student taboo, and the excitement of not knowing if or when they might get caught. I recommend this to romance readers who like shorter length novels.

Talk about being on the edge of my seat for the entire book! Mr. August was yet another great book in the Calendar Boys series. I could not put it down.
Perry is sweet and talented. The instant her eyes met Liam’s in a coffee shop, I could almost feel their chemistry sizzling. Liam is very sexy but clearly hesitant once he realizes the girl from the coffee shop is his most talented student at his new job. I loved them both and really felt the strain of their impossible situation. I definitely did not see the small plot twist coming, although I knew from the blurb that Liam was hiding something.
The plot was steady and flowed nicely. I was constantly on pins and needles waiting for the worst. The ending made me giggle, as it tied in with the rest of the series in a rather unexpected way.
This is the 8th book in the Calendar Boys series. They are all written as standalone stories and can easily be read out of order. This was definitely one of the best of the series so far, and I can’t wait to read Mr. September!

Liam looks at the lesson plans and knows nothing is going to happen without a coffee, ready to place his order he sees her, she’s beautiful, he doesn’t think she’s a student, then her eyes meet his, he can’t look away.
