Silent Love: Part 1

Rate this book
I hate living in the spotlight. Going to college is my chance to escape it all. The CEO father, the famous mother, the cameras, the drama, everything… Unfortunately, I’m still stuck with my older brother and his best friend Ethan—AKA the guy I’ve been crushing on for years. But I plan on using this opportunity to make Ethan see me as a woman, and not just his best friend’s little sister. That’s if Gage, the campus bad boy, doesn’t interfere. The last thing I need is an arrogant, cocky playboy whose sole purpose seems to be to complicate my life. The only thing he’s good at is showing up at the wrong place at the wrong time. He’s rude, obnoxious, and I need to avoid him at all costs. Only problem is...I can’t seem to stay away from him.

This is way too young adult for my liking! These characters are supposed to be in college!?! But talk then are in middle school!! It’s kind of weird. The girl is 18 and has no back bone and very weak.. again acts like she’s 12 and talks like it too! I love enemies to lovers stories but their banter is way too childish for my liking!

I'm embarrassed to say that I read way more of this book than it deserved. To be fair, this book had potential but there were some major issues that made it undeniably craptastic: 1.) the dialogue between the characters was extremely juvenile, which made the characters seem immature and unlikable at times 2) the hangout sessions between the friend group were unnecessarily long and annoyingly repetitive. We don't need to know every single boring detail of what video games are being played, or whatever the f. 3) the main character is kind of annoying and contradictory. One minute she can barely form a sentence while speaking to the male lead and literally cowers from him and then BOOM she's captain confidence and cursing at him...it's like pick a personality already. On top of that, she keeps chasing after him even though he repeatedly treated her like shit....damn girl, have some self-respect. Anyway, it got to the point where I had to admit defeat and quit reading before I hated myself for wasting so much time.

Sigh!
I don't know who recommended this but they just wasted my time bad! Good storyline just bad narration
*It's unnecessarily detailed...the book takes place in less than a month, doesn't leave much to be curious about,
*The characterization is almost below average(give a character the traits and stick by them, that way the development due to feelings or growth is portrayed)
When did the "bad-boy" guy who humps and dumps grow from being standoffish or nice, anyway 🤦
*Most dialogue are unnecessary
*The title definitely doesn't go with the story line
*The main character keeps thanking and chasing after the guy...you'd think after the first two times she'd get the message. She's 18(facepalm) making it young adult, probably should be in highschool senior year, the conversations

It's not worth the read...that's why I won't rate it...or maybe 2 stars,

...But don't judge me if I progress to book 2 hoping it's a tad bit better and the story will finally develop from the introduction stage.

When I read the write up on this book, I was very intrigued. That didn't last long after I started reading it, this book dragged on and on!
Spoiler alert*

It didn't take long to figure out why Carter's supposed friend Amy was being so distant; it's predictable. And then Gage, who the hell peed in his cheerios on a daily? This story should have taken place in High School for all the lack of maturity each character displayed. I skimmed over books 2 and 3 and jumped to book 4 and I'm glad I didn't waste my time on it. IMO this book would have been better if the writer would have left out all the useless detail on EVERY outing this group took together. Get to the point, I lost interest pretty early on but wanted to see if it got better. NOPE. Glad I didn't pay for it.

Whew! Talk about a rush back to high school/college feelings. There’s longing, tension, angst, anger and lust...and every other emotion you can think of. Carter is off to her first year of college at Columbia. She comes from a family that’s filled with love and has well know parents. Her brother is a year older and is known as a football god around campus. Her long time best friend Macey is her roommate and her unrequited love, Ethan, is there as well. He’s her older brothers best friend. She’s in for a world of change as she starts her freshman year. A new guy walks into her life as well, Gage, and they have a hate relationship that slowly turns around. It’s a good series so far and I’m anxious to see where it goes.

Such a trainwreck

This is only getting a 3 because I feel compelled to read the next book. Omg..you know when you run into that person that can make what should be a 2 minute story into a 4 hour snoozefest? That is this book. There is soooooooo much nothing going on. His many times do we have to read about them eating and what they each ordered? I swear it felt like 85 percent of the book was just them eating. And why does our h keep throwing herself at a guy who is saying such rude and horrible things to her again and again? It's like a trainwreck and I can't stop.

Read it so many times during this year I can't even count them. The story is appealing, well written, and great at showing the reality of how a relationship can evolve. I applaud the author, Kenadee, on how she puts the relationships Carter has with different characters, you perceive perfectly how close or stranged things become and you feel for her in some many instances ... I have nothing but good things to say about this series. (Of course, I'm referring to the whole story and not just this first part)

Great book!!

This was a very addictive book. The author knows how to pull you into the story. You have a beautiful girl who has a crush on her brother’s best friend but he doesn’t even know and when she starts college she meets a dark handsome boy who she is falling for also. I do have to say this is a cliffhanger book though. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

I enjoyed the series. It was funny and cute at times which made lol. Especially Dylan, he is my fav character. I liked how it didn't had any antagonist character, which made me like it even more. Every character had their reasons and flaws. I just felt it a little dragged but I enjoyed it.

👏👏👏

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel from the first page until the very last. It has been a very rare occurrence that I could just pick up a book and read it in one day; but, I was captivated by these characters and their amazing love story instantaneously.

Its a young adult. not alot of physical stuff.
even though they were in their 20s they were very childish, but the humor totally made up for it.
I definitely wanted to continue the series.
