I’ve made mistakes and they’ve caught up with me, almost destroying my life. So, I had to start over. Hellbent on not making the same mistakes twice, I put rules in place to protect myself, especially when it comes to women. While volunteering as a coach and mentor for the youth basketball league, I’m paired with Olivia, an assistant coach who manages to push all my buttons. The energetic, wide-eyed brunette has the natural talent to get herself in some precarious situations—situations I always seem to get involved in.No matter how hard I try to stay away from her, it’s as if fate keeps pushing us in the same direction. The more I fight it, the more I’m drawn to her. Not even the memories of my past can stop me from wanting to be with her. What happens if I end up falling for Olivia? Will I be able to start over with her in my life or will my past end up crushing us both?

Jennifer W. Smith is a new to me author, and frankly, I really enjoyed experiencing this sweet, yet sassy, fun story. See, there's Jacob, a guy who's coaching a youth basketball league, while Olivia is his assistant coach. That keeps them in some close proximity to where the chemistry is really ever present. They're doing the very best to deny it, but between fate & that chemistry which won't be denied, has other plans. It's an entertaining small town romance at it's very best, which this descriptive genius author made me feel like I was physically part of the town. There are even some unexpected twists that got the f-bombs dropping, and I'll keep saying this over & over again, that's my true happy place. I don't want to say anymore, so it's time for y'all to experience this beautiful piece of goodness for yourselves. Go ahead & hit that one click button now, as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is a sweet and beautiful romance about Jacob (a partner in an athletic club) who loves to coach basketball and Olivia who works out in that club and volunteers to be an assistant coach to that basketball league that her teenage brother Dylan has joined. Jacob has a rule that he will not date a client or an employee but has a hard time with that as he falling for Olivia. I love this delightful story. The characters are so well developed, the story has some twists that you do not see coming and being from New England I loved all the great locations the author includes in this story and describes so beautifully. I highly recommend this fantastic book.

This was a very good story. I absolutely loved Jacob and Olivia. Jacob had a hard time trusting and set forth rules for himself when it came to dating. Olivia with all her quirks and clumsiness barrels past his rules and finds her way to his heart. A great read!

Olivia and Jacob are two opposing forces, which collide. There is an instant attraction, one which they both try hard to resist. But-fate has other ideas.

I really enjoyed this romantic tale written by Jennifer W. Smith. I would recommend it to any reader who enjoys a small-town romance.
