Two different worlds. A secret young couple. A love that can never be.
Lewis Crawford is the son of a laird. A handsome man that almost any girl would die to be with. Crissy is a housemaid. A beautiful young girl, but poor and of lower class.
A secret love dated since their childhood is blooming like a wild flower but nobody can see them together.
They can only meet secretly every night and pretend they are strangers during the daytime.
As soon as Lewis starts thinking of a way for them to marry, a tragedy takes place.
His older brother commits an atrocious crime for which he must be locked away. Lewis needs to take his place as a Laird, which he never intended to.This also means that he will need to marry a girl of aristocratic origin.
A love that was once difficult now seems impossible to be. Will Lewis defy his fate and his heritage to fulfill his heart's commands?
"Seduced by the Noble Highlander" is a story of romance, adventure, and salvation, set on the beautiful backdrop of the Scottish Highlands.
A simple story of a long-time love between a noble and a handmaiden. Lewis wanted to marry Crissy for the longest time, but she knew their class divide would never be accepted. Lewis did not relent in his pursuit of Crissy. They both loved each other so. The story shows what a determined gentleman Lewis was as well as protective of Crissy. Crissy was a loving, kind, generous soul who treated everyone with respect and she knew her duties and never shirked them because of Lewis. When Lewis's father David found out about the romance, he sent Crissy away. She left knowing it was only right that she was not born to be a lady. There is some drama to the story. Bryce Lewis's older brother became a mental and legal problem his father had to deal with. Then while Crissy was traveling by foot, she was waylaid by an innocent looking sister and brother. They stole everything she had of worth and beat her and choked her and left her for dead. There is a smooth transition from page to page but without many twists nor surprises. It is a quick read, moderately paced. The ending made me very happy for all the characters involved.

ARC Received from Bookfunnel🌀 I also got this book with KU.
The book is unsophisticated and rather sweet, like a fairytale. However there are ADULT scenes between Crissy, the maid, and Lewis. There were a few instances of modern words used but not many. I loved the way the story is told from dual points of view!
Laird David Crawford had two sons Bryce and Lewis. Bryce was evil and ended in a monastery, a lunatic asylum. Lewis wanted no part of becoming a Laird. He was in love with a housemaid Chrissy. His father was so upset that he disinherited him. Chrissy left and was beaten and left for dead. Found by a Laird and Lady and nursed to health. Lewis was informed and came to get her. The people that harmed her were caught. A wedding was planed. Then Bryce showed up and tried to kill Chrissy but Lewis killed him . The Laird reinstated the inheritance as a wedding gift.
I give it 4 stars. Even though it was a very short book it was an interesting and captivating story. The main character for interesting and their interaction seem to be very believable.
Seduced by the Noble Highlander is a WONDERFUL novel by Ann Marie Scott's. Her books keep getting better and better. This is the second in the series. I loved how Lewis and Crissy's characters are so believable it feels like you can just reach out and touch them. They never fail to delight; they are likeable, engaging individuals who seem very realistic. They hook you from the start and reel you in for the duration. I could not wait for the story to unfold. With plenty of drama, uncertainty, termoil, and spicy love scenes. I loved revisiting old friends that you haven't seen for a while. It was nice to catch up with them. This book will hold your attention to the fullest. Remarkable emotions, and unforgettable characters. A Must Read!
This book is great the storylines and characters are so well describes you can visualize them. More to the point it was great to read about Ayr as I was born there in Ardrossan near a place called Saltcoats and when we go back to visit relatives we visit Largs. Also my mother's clan the McGregors are from Glasgow and she was the second eldest of 16 children . How my granny managed I will never know. However the book is fantastic and I have already downloaded the next 2 books. Thanks for reminder of my child hood places.
Very well written and loved the characters. Anyone can fall in love, including a handmaiden and a Laird! The thing is can they stay that way no matter the odds against them. Everyone, the scenes and just everything is so realistic like you are really living this story. Such passion heartfelt emotions throughout. Gotta hand it to Ann Marie Scott for another EXCELLENT hit!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
I received this as an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review
Too many contradictions,inconsistencies, and typos
After reading Chained by the Fierce Highlander I expected to enjoy this book, but it was a disappointment. There were too many careless mistakes. This book was poorly edited and proofed. I strongly suggest you hire someone to conduct a comprehensive edit of your books before publishing. Did I miss something? What was the name of Isla and Magnus' child? Was it Bonnie or Elspeth?
Another great story by Ann Marie Scott. I can't get enough of these Highlander stories! As fast as I finish one I jump to another to get my fix they are so adicting!
Good read. Man falls in love with a Schuller maid and gets disowned by his father. His father sends her away she gets waylaid he finds her and married her. Father takes him back again. Happy ever after.
