Academy of the Devil #3
A Sinful Year Three
Some powers are beyond human control. Some secrets hold too much weight to be carried. Some sins cannot forever be contained. This year, secrets, sins, and power come together—and the end will be upon us all.
It’s my third year at The Academy of the Devil, and things finally seem to be falling into place. I’ve reached a tentative agreement with my new lovers. My life is finally headed in the right direction.
Or so it seems—until he shows up.
They say he is an exchange student. They call him Lucian and cluster around him like flies drawn to honey. They are blind.
I know the truth. I can see his true identity in his eyes, in his smile, in the sinful power bubbling under his skin.
He is Lucifer, the Fallen One, the Brightest Star, the very first Satan. Like a supernova, he’s as beautiful as he is dangerous, and for some reason, he wants me to be his.
There’s just one problem with that. Callum, Stefan, Mikael, and Meph aren’t willing to hand me over to anyone—not even to one of the most powerful archangels in the world.
There’s something he’s hiding, some reason why he deems me special—and I want nothing to do with. But do I really have a choice? Can I really withstand the fire and the power of the true Satan?
Somehow, I doubt it, but I’m certainly going to try.
A Sinful Year Three is a paranormal reverse harem romance packed with a forbidden, sinful, satanic romance, steamy scenes, crazy twists, demonic magic and enough fallen angels to sweep every reader off their feet. All sexual content involves characters that are 18+ years old. But remember – The Academy of the Devil has some dark secrets. There will be some questionable content ahead. Do not step inside if you are not prepared.

September 6, 2019I can't hack it anymore... Lucifer still calls her 'dearest' like the most notorious fallen angel is her eighty-year-old gran, and I just laugh whenever I see Mephistopheles reduced to 'Meph.' Meph sounds like the name for a pet, not a lover.
I'm also bored of the story-line. Disappointing conclusion to a series I was originally excited about, but I'm keen to read Brandt's upcoming Chimera Academy series.

I honestly don’t even know what to say. If not for audio which I did enjoy, I’m not sure I would have made it through this. It’s utter insanity-the entire plot never went any expected. I’m kinda at a loss on how to rate it because it was so insane but the writing was good as was the shockin twists and turns. I can’t say I appreciated the convoluted relationship that finally starts I’m book two only to end epicly, start again only to end and blah blah. It really took away from any sense of romance between them cause no one ever fought for one another and it was so awkward. This whole series has been weird, I’m glad it’s only three books. So much for her going to the academy and becoming Satan. I’m bummed that’s not in the cards for her but then again Alyssa can barely make a decision to save her life and her odd character is often far too nice and stupidly trusting. It’s like she unknowingly attracts danger and dies because of this at least two times too many. What a crazy read, not sure how to wrap my head around all that insanity. It does have a HEA which I guess I can be thankful for.

Decent Plot
I didn't really like the hinted open ending that sort of said another story was on the horizon without the promise that there is another series being written right now. That final conversation just seemed a bit cruel. Also I didn't care for the way Brandt turned the tables on Alyssa and made her accidentally guilty of the same crimes of betrayal she faced in the last book. Intent means something and I feel like that wasn't properly addressed here. Losing control of your car because of black ice or something like that and accidentally hitting someone is not the same as aiming your vehicle at a person and stomping on the gas. I don't feel like that was properly acknowledged.
The plot however was really interesting and Lyssa's portion of the story wrapped up well. It definitely kept me turning the pages well past the time I should have been sleeping. Overall despite my concerns about portions of the second two books I'd still very much recommend the series.

I finished this series just for the sake of finishing it, but I was left disappointed by book 1— the rest of the books in the trilogy took a completely different turn. We find out more about who Alyssa is and why she gets along with demons, and now her harem includes her three classmates, the dean and Lucifer himself.

3.5 stars
Probably the best book in the series. The most romance and the biggest plot point. I'm still not clear on the purpose of the academy. They never replaced Satan? Not clear the fact that Lucifer and Satan are different people still confuse me.

By the end it wasn’t even funny anymore 🤷🏻♀️

As always, I loved these characters. Hence 3 stars.
But this books plotting was such a let down. And therefore my opinion of the series has been lowered by quite a bit.

This is the 3rd and final book. I have some mixed feelings about it. A lot didnt make sense. There was sooo much going on and honestly you didnt know if you were coming or going. I dont quite understand the teachers turning traitor...at least some of them did. It wasnt explained very well. Even with Alyssa's powers about Hope and Pandora's Box...I mean we all know the story but it didnt go into much detail in this book. Alyssa was a little whiny here too. It just felt weird around the middle of the book. The book felt rushed in parts. I think I liked the end because she seemed to find herself again sorta. I loved Lucifer's character. Out of all of them he made the most sense to me. This is definitely a different kind of series and not everyone will understand it or like it. I liked it but there are things I was like huh? Why....it wasnt explained well or in enough detail. Dude...I love Leviathan. Best God Ever! This didnt necessarily end on a cliffhanger but kinda? There are going to be different books and spin-offs. Alyssa's story I think is done. Not to say we wont see her ever again or her males. I enjoyed the series...its really not for the faint of heart. There is some M/M in this. I mean I sorta expected it from the relationship some of them had prior but again that wasnt explained in detail so we didnt really KNOW if they were sexually together but at the end you know they were cause you know orgy and they all had relations with each other. That was surprising a little bit if your not expecting it. Just a bit of a warning.

Received Book from BookSprout for Honest Review
I Give a 3ish our of 5 Star Rating
HEA(?): Sure
Romance: 3ish?/5
Heat: 3ish?/5
Drama: 3/5
Suspense: 3/5
Predictability(?): 4.5/5
I found this book to be a bit childish & childlike. I just want to keep this short and not rant. I just wasn’t a fan of this to be honest.
Read more form this Author? I’m not sure, maybe.

This story comes to an end, but not without you wondering what really happens after. This is why I only gave it 4 stars, I hate not knowing everything. Alyssa has some hard realities this year. So many struggles which her guys and Lucifer. What will happen? Can she except the truth? Can her men accept her decisions? Can they protect her and themselves? What are the truths?

A Sinful Year Three by Eva Brant is the third book in a creative story that surprised me in the best ways. Twists and turns I never saw coming had me flying through the series in a matter of days. The naughty demons are completely lovable and the supporting characters are the most unique creatures I’ve ever read.. Eva Brant’s imagination puts mine to shame, and I loved every second.

I have to admit the only reason I actually finished these books was for Lucifer. I skimmed over all the sexy time it was all the same and quite boring. Unfortunately in the end I was very disappointed I wasted my time finishing these books.

Some questions were finally answered
This was a great ending to the series that had plenty of action and drama when compared to the first 2 books. While most of the series progressed under a large amount of ambiguity and secrets, answers finally came to light. After finishing the series, I see why the author has created and crafted the story the way she did but it still doesn’t change the fact that I was confused during the first 2 books to the point of frustration.
My favorite part of this book was the POV chapters of her men. I would have loved to read those throughout the entire series. At least we got it in this book even if it was a small amount.

4 stars for A Sinful Year Three by Eva Brandt. This is the third and final book in the Academy of the Devil series. (I think) The ending was left to where it could continue if the author decides too. I enjoyed Lucifer, he would be my pick that’s for sure. He is finally where I saw some love from these characters. I will also say that we do see more emotion and some would even say love out of Callum, Stefan, Mikael, and Meph. The only one I didn’t doubt was Lucifer. I enjoyed where this story went. Eva Brandt gave me an unexpected surprise. I did not see the twist coming. Out of all three in this series, this one was my favorite.

Great series
My complaints about this series: Alyssa never seemed sure of herself. She never really figured out how to use her power and with how everything ended I just feel I have questions that aren't answered. I also felt that the sorry was drug it a bit but them seemed a little abruptly.
Why I love this series: this series was definitely more of a gritty series. The relationship they am shared was a unique one and was demonic in its own right. I love am the aren't scenes, even it they turned a bit bdsm it was will hot!! I loved the action in this book and lastly I loved the courage and hope that Alyssa had! Great series!!

Yea got lost I. this book and not the good kind
Things started to get confusing about who was against who, who was feuding with who, who was liking who now and so on. Lecithin makes more of an appearance than I other books and seemed pretty cool. She got really soft and annoying in this book and seemed to only exist for the pleasure of the guys. Not saying that's wrong, but the series was built on solid that got lost along the way and got sidetracked by the sexual encounters.

I just didn’t like this book at all. It was rushed and weird and, for me, just didn’t work. 2 of the harem members just didn’t make sense to me and the h just became whiny over her predicament and unbearable.

Não me tocou muito.
Ainda senti que faltou muito desenvolvimento de personagem, relações e poderes. Muita coisa poderia ter sido mais desenvolvida, a própria academia em si.
E já lá pela página 200 estava entediada.

It’s a good ending for the story, but probably the book I liked the least. Partly because I lost my interest somewhat, partly because it got too deep into abrahamistic lore and I’m not a fan of that. Still liked the book and enjoyed the ride.

This trilogy had some interesting idea, the development and execution was iffy. Very disappointing for the FMC to be saddled with 5 man-children AND a baby! I dunno why Ms. Brandt thought this was a HEA.
Overall it was disappointing. I will not read this again.

Totally great book and series. With amazing characters, fast paced action and lots of steamy moments. This book wraps up the series really well with everything wrapped up nicely.

Incredible
An overwhelmingly epic ending to this story. I was absolutely enthralled and kept guessing the whole time about what would happen around the next corner!

The “I’m gonna make this decision for you because you’re not capable” trope is in my bottom 3. I can’t stand it. I think I would have rated this book a 4 if Alyssa had not pulled that nonsense.
