Lexie Wayne grew up in the publishing world and went to acting/art school. She grew up in a small French town in Québec, Canada. Determined to make it into the big leagues, she learned English independently and had R.L. Stine and Stephen King as her literary teachers in the art of writing.

Odd to most people, her whole life, Lexie became a bookworm and developed an antisocial anxiety disorder. She fought many stereotypes and misconceptions from the outside world her entire life. Lexie preferred daydreaming to any other activity. At a young age, Lexie proved to be ahead of other classmates and was even tested for her IQ allowing her to pursue her studies in a special school. However, avoiding other people was still what Lexie did the most.

Years later, despite Lexie’s clinical introverted personality, she decided to make one of her dreams come true. She built a gothic magazine that would become a platform for the indie community. She named it, Gothic Bite Magazine.

Following the launch of her webzine, Lexie published her very first novel, Mrs. Blackwood. It proved to Lexie that it was possible to make more than one dream come true. Her passion for either what lurks in the dark or the vastness of space was no obstacle for Lexie, who wrote, Vacuum Of Space. Her studies also came in handy for her more logical approach when it comes to either subject.

What had Lexie gotten through social events she despised as a misanthrope and socially awkward personality was drawing. At a young age, Lexie became a great fan of DC Comics’ Batman and Flash. She even pursued some of her studies in art from an online school and was even in fourth place for DC Comics’ Art Workshop in 2017.

But Lexie will never forget who gave her the first shot at writing professionally, the CEO and her first Editor, Tara M. Clapper of The Geek Initiative.

Lexis Alexa Wayne's new horror sci-fi was excellent!!! With a awesome storyline and amazing storytelling this is a must read for all sci-fi fans who enjoy all things with space. Cat A. Combs is a human who's DNA has been manipulated with the grey gene Which has left her with high intelligence and many other talents that make her a threat to the dome and all their allies and with villains like Leandros Borgia dungeon master of abacination and the deadly flesh eating and blood drinking rakes theirs alot on her shoulders as a lieutenant on board the LWS slicer commanded by Jason Caldwell the man she's fallen in love with. But between visions of the past and dealing with many phobias and mental issues from past abuse's that she suffered, it will take all the strength and courage she has to not only save her sanity but herself and the crew of the starship LWS slicer. Arielle Lyon not only is a great writer but she brings awareness of mental issue's that many people deal with on a daily basis. While her books are entertaining its her characters that pull me in everytime. Their highly complexed and multi layered that you can't help but root for them. I've watched this writer grow into a awesome storyteller with every book she has written and I see many more great reads to come. Until next time Luv's💗💋

Woah, did I miss something? Is there a prequel to this book?
Starting FRANKENSTEIN by A.D. Wayne, those were my first thoughts, but they were wrong.

I have to admit, it made me struggle with the storyline at first. It felt like getting thrown into a pool of cold water, with no way of knowing which direction to swim to reach the surface.
This book just skips the foreplay and dumps you right into the action - and it never stops until you turn the last page. The beginning reminded me of an action-packed teaser in a movie, meant to grip the audience before the opening titles. It worked. I was hooked!

In the next chapter, you learn a bit more about the protagonist. A human woman from the 21th century who calls herself Frank N. Stein. She belongs to the crew of the "Slicer", a spaceship able to traverse time and space, with a crew of humans and aliens from various timelines.
In the year 2510, the crew of "Slicer" struggles to restore a drastically altered timeline, and Frank N. Stein, or Frankie, is the key to success. Or at least, that's what everyone hopes, because the needed special gene she carries is dormant.

The twists and turns that follow take you on a rollercoaster ride into a world of intrigue and deception.
--> Is "Slicer's" mysterious Captain Caldwell really who he pretends to be?
--> Of The Alliance, The Dome, The Rake, who is the real enemy, and who is a friend?
--> Even the ship itself is not what it appears to be.

Will Frankie manage to figure all those things out in time to save the ship, the crew and the Captain from certain death, while struggling with her own transformation as the gene slowly begins to awaken?

A gripping tale that will keep you glued to the pages until the very end, with a cliffhanger that makes you scream and shout - and buy the next book...

I Don’t Usually Read Science Fiction

I love science fiction in every form, except the written. For some reason, I am simply not drawn to Science Fiction books. Occasionally, I will pick one up and read it, but often times it is stories with which I am familiar. Star Trek, Buck Rogers, etc…

I came across Frankenstein on a social media group. I make it a habit to read at least one book by independent authors a month, so I thought I would give this ago. From the opening paragraph, I was intrigued and hooked. I read it slowly, taking only about a chapter a night to completely immerse myself in the story. The author pays a lot of fan service to those who, like me, watch more science fiction than they read. I found myself chuckling at the inventiveness of certain references.

For what appears to be the first book in a series, A.D. tells a compelling stand alone story, at the same time, left me looking forward to Supra Project Book 2.

As an author and storyteller myself, I get what goes into weaving a tale. I understand the passion one feels about getting words on the printed page – the way the author bleeds from their very soul to share their vision. When I complete a story, and ask others to read it, I never ask if they like the story – I ask if they think I told a good story.

In Frankenstein, A.D. Wayne tells a good story. A story I highly recommend.

*** REVISED AND REMASTERED! ***

In the year 2510, Cat. A. Combs realizes Hell is real and coming for her. The crew of the LWS Slicer does everything they can to protect her until they realize Cat is the one saving them…

Carrier of the ancient but most advanced codex from the Grey Cat. A. Combs knows everything about futuristic technologies. The enemy, The Dome, wants her, but Scorpio—the most terrifying planet in the quadrant—wants Captain Caldwell, a deserter.

Separating them is the most dangerous task so far in the war for the Grey Codex. One thing Cat. A. Combs know for sure is that she wants her captain in his chair because space isn’t the final frontier any longer; Hell is.

This was a Sci-Fi novel based on ancient earth cultures and the idea of races from outer space kidnapping individuals throughout time on earth. Lots of fight scenes, a bit of romance and heat involving a female lead who carries a specific gene others want access to. It will allow the bearer to command a powerful interstellar spaceship. It had strong areas that kept my interest and others less so. Lots of skipping forwards and backwards in time and in her memories which caused me to slow down and become less engaged. Overall a decent plot, with complex interpretations of ancient myths.

Fast-paced with plenty of action, I love this book and am looking forward to more in this series. I was hooked immediately from the start wanting to know what happens to Frankie and whether Caldwell is trustworthy. This is beautifully written with an awesome cast of characters. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

So, it’s books like this one that really make me enjoy the sci-fi general as a whole.

In Frankenstein, we’re introduced to a young woman named Frank N. Stein who has been pulled from her life on Earth to help with a war in space because of a special mutation she has. She can decide the fate of the entire war, and because of that, many people want to get their hands on her. Navigating through life in the clutches of battle shows her exactly who she can trust and who’s out for her blood.

There are lots of on the edge of your seat moments throughout this entire book. I love the way the author seamlessly blended so many genres into this adventure: sci-fi, romance, adventure, and suspense. It seems there’s just about something for everyone to love in the pages of this book.

Also, the way that the characters are created is spellbinding. Frankie in particular was a favorite of mine because from the beginning we’re made aware of the fact that she’s not perfect. She has her flaws, plenty of flaws, but that doesn’t stop her from being a badass warrior.

Perfect read for fans of Star Trek and the like. Or just fans of sci-fi in general.

You won’t be disappointed.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

The novel drags you into the future of the solar system—26th century—through the eyes of a 21st century scientist and ufologist abducted by extraterrestrials. Because of her genetics was encoded by Greys at conception, Cat. A. Combs finds herself in the middle of an intergalactic war to be protected at all costs. Along the way, Cat. A. Combs becomes an essential part of the crew as her abduction was for her own protection and her emotions grow toward the captain.

The story is engrossing and pulls you in right away by starting right in the middle of an action scene. It has you wonder, "Hey, am I missing some pages?" Nope, you are thrown in the life of Cat. A. Combs just like the moment she was abducted. Knowing nothing and learning as you go. The future of our part of the galaxy rests on Cat. A. Combs' shoulders and the crew of the LWS Slicer leaves no one behind, not even when she is kidnapped by the enemy and tortured. Captain Caldwell would do anything for Cat. A. Combs and there is nothing she wouldn't do to protect him. But time is against them.

A.D. Wayne’s Frankenstein is not about a human brought back to life with pegs in his neck. No, this is about a woman named Frank N. Stein—Frankie for short. She was born in the 21st century but is brought to the future because she has special abilities that can help sway a war between species. She’s brought onto a spaceship because that’s where the battle is. She is a hot commodity everyone wants to get their hands on because she has the power to sway who can win the war. Between the edge of your seat battles, the who can she trust questions, and the sexual tension, I really enjoyed this story.

If you like sci-fi, suspense, mystery and a bit of romance, you’ll really love this book.
