I thought that this was a a great new installment the Brandon Brown series. I liked that this story felt more realistic in terms of the language and behavior of the characters. This book take place after versus el Yucatan...I think. Of the 5 books in this series, I like this one, dice la verdad and el nuevo houdini the best. The plot was well put together and I think students would really enjoy seeing Brandon again as a seventh grader. His drama as a middle schooler makes a great connection to what life is really like for students.

A lot of people hesitate to use the early Brandon Brandon books for high school, but these books are a great for introducing students new to reading in Spanish because it allows them not to worry so much about the content and just enjoy the story. A very in tune teacher can easily make this and all the Brandon books a riot in class.

This may be a bad idea....but I’m going to review this in español. #SpanishPractice

Me gusta el parte en el libro cuando Liam y Brandon finalmente hicieron amigos. Ojalá Liam será bien. Honestamente, yo pensé que Liam era un espía ja ja ja. A veces mi imaginación es raro.
