Kraj: Japonia

Zaczęłam ten tomik wyłącznie na potrzeby nauki francuskiego. Taki typowy shoujec z lat 2010. Dziewczyna przebiera się za młodziana by móc tańczyć w trupie swojego ojca. Po drodze poznaje tancerza z rywalizującej trupy i wplątuje się nieświadomie w trójkąt romantyczny. Typowe :)

Ok, this was really weird, and I only read it because it is one of the few manga at my library. The story is full of clichés and the only interesting thing about it was the historical Japanese theatre (this is the explanation why I gave 1.5 stars instead of 1)

The manga had a lot of problematic statements as well: There is the one guy that the MC (I genuine forgot her name, she was so unforgettable) even calls her brother who has feelings for her which had an incestuous undertone for me which I absolutely hate. The same guy also said stuff like "I'm only a man", urgh. There is the other male interest that thinks that the MC is a 13-year-old boy and still tries to kiss her which is also really weird and he's slut shaming her as well. Him and the MC have no energy at all and later he almost forces her to have sex with him.

Nope, definitely no recommendation.

Hakubi is a girl pretending to be a boy in order to dance with her Noh troupe. She is invited to join a more prestigious group, but strange scales begin spreading up her arm. Is it a divine curse for living a lie? And what do her mysterious nightmares mean?

This manga feature very nice art and a good story progression. I'm looking forward to the next volume!

It was actually pretty interesting. The art was gorgeous and the traditional storytelling culture intrigued. And, I have to say, I'm a sucker for a gender-bender manga.
