“If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it’s yours forever...” Liam Maxwell took that advice when he watched Taleah Morgan walk out of his life four years ago. He had to give her space to “go and grow,” but now, her time is up. Liam is determined to win back his first love, at all costs. Taleah is just as determined to resist him. She’s never forgotten—nor forgiven—what she believes was his betrayal. Can Liam get past the walls she’s built around herself to show her that he’s always had her best interests at heart? Tumultuous doesn’t even begin to describe the first few years of Kelsey Morgan’s and Kyriq Childress’s relationship. But things have been going smoothly the last two years for the couple—too smoothly. Life throws a plot twist at them that threatens to end their engagement and tear them apart forever. Is the love between Kelsey and Chill enough to survive unexpected circumstances? Love troubles are not the only problems that befall Liam and Chill. During their climb to the top of the drug underworld, they made some dangerous enemies. Now, at least one of those enemies has come back to destroy everything they’ve worked for. Can they discover the identity of the person wreaking havoc on their business before it’s too late?
That's me, in short. I've been writing since elementary school and won my first prize in seventh grade. I am a romantic at heart and love a happy ending! Join me on this writing (and reading) journey--you won't be disappointed!
Whew the plot was plotting in book 2! While everything seemed predictable in book 1, it was everything but that in this one.
In book one the cliffhanger ended with Taleah heartbroken! Well 4 years later in book 2, the gang has matured. Liam and Chill are running things and have bossed tf up! I’m talking MULTIPLE streams of income! It was quite impressive for two 22 year olds. With that much success comes just as many enemies and boy were they plentiful!! I was not prepared for how deep the snakes ran. And when I thought I knew what was happening I realized I was WRONG!! From baby mama drama to psycho side bxtches and everything in between. I will say that these women need to stop playing in these mens faces building these fake @$$ relationships knowing their heart is with someone else. Taleah definitely met her match… that’ll teach her 😩 she was way too naive and her sheltered life showed. Kelsey tried to tell her time and time again but experience is the best teacher. You will not be disappointed with this read!
The continuation of Taleah, Liam, Kelsey and Chills story was just as good as the first book. So glad that everyone got them some act right and worked it all.
5 ⭐️ The plot definitely picked up from where the first book left off.
Chill is the ultimate villain in my head. He really did Kels so dirty trying to manipulate her into marriage and pregnancy so she wouldn’t leave him.
I loved the growth in Liam (even though he still a little stubborn lol). He really worked for his chance back with Taleah and I loved that he helped her dad. Sophia deserved what she got at the end.
The ending was a little rushed between the last 2 chapters, but it was great nonetheless!

This finale was so boring, so wrong, so annoying, so long...man it was just so blah... I tried and pushed and pushed and finally I finished this finale and just as stated in the first book, I am now ready to review this series. I had ended up rating the first book a 5 stars because, 1) it was really interesting and fresh for an intro, and 2) it had a lot of substance and a solid base to continue with the series in book 2 and the finale. But this right here...😡😤 if it wasn't for the ending, right about @ 98% and with some light shinning on some explanation, this would have been rated a solid 1/2 star or maybe a 1 star. Taleah man I don't know how old you are but man, if my calculations are correct, you should be at least 22 and yet you have been acting like a 15 or 16 years old(if not younger). Man I was rooting for you to get a little bit of shaken up for you to see how much Liam was into you. You were not at all the epitome of a strong black independent educated intelligent black woman...Nuh-uh, girl... You were truly the epitome of young, spoiled, naive, gullible kid and it killed me to see when an author does not have her main character grow up and changed and became deserving to the title of the lead character. Kelsey, well you started it out showing signs, big signs that you should have been the main character in book 1 but in this book, it's like you reversed it. You also became, annoying, acting out of your age, gullible, spoiled and a wannabe strong independent not black woman, but it was not wright at all. Liam, man, you are bae albeit, if you had been more honest, open with Leah, well this would not have been a priority like finding out who wants your stuff being sabotaged. You would have been on point. Chill, well man continue to be fine and to chill!!! Sophia, Neko, Christian, isn't it nice when karma make her visits? And Kellis and Nitra, both of you got off so easy and I do hope you take that has your opportunity to better yourselves. Mr. Morgan was a sorry individual and if it was me, no apologies from him. He need a small visit from karma!!! Now, I thought I was going to make Kelsey and Chill my favorite , but I can't specially with how Kelsey was just being (hint: the baby news) and also how Chill reacted. But I must stress, if it wasn't for this ending and the epilogue, I would have rated this 1/2 star and would have not gone higher than a 1... In any case I will continue reading this great author!!!
Overall the story was cool. Too much drama all back and forth was exhausting that you couldn’t even see the love between the couples. Yea they made it in the end but I wanted to see more of the love between the couples. As soon as they get happy here comes another argument and them running away from each other. Leah daddy was the worse brah had too much pride for him to be a pill head. Idk I was expecting more but it was cool. Sophia was too aggravating and Kelis threw me off for a second. Christian was straight up fool as well as Neko he didn’t know how to leave well enough alone🤦🏾♀️.
This book is the definition of trigger warning lol. Love this author, love her books but this one was too much for me. Chill and Kels had a toxic relationship that was abusive in many ways. That overshadowed the book for me. Then the SA scenes with Christian. I just couldn’t enjoy this book.

Whew!!! This book starts off with spice. Taleah a 17 year old teenager, attends a kickback with her cousin, Kelsey and some of her classmates from her high school. Somehow the group ends up playing a game of Seven Minutes in Heaven, but the game cannot start because there are six guys and seven girls. Dylan, the teenage boy hosting the party, decides to get his older brother, Liam to participate in the game. Taleah has a crush on Liam just like all the other females in the neighborhood. Liam is a local corner boy who is not afraid of anyone. Liam comes downstairs and makes his stance that he will not be following the rules. He takes matters into his own hands and takes Taleah in the closet where he introduces her to foreplay. Things get steamy between the two until their seven minutes run out. Liam is intrigued with Taleah, but thinks she is a little too naive and not experienced enough to be with him. Fate brings the pair together a few weeks later at a block party when Liam sees a guy harassing Taleah.
Liam and Taleah exchange numbers and Taleah anticipates Liam to reach her, but he doesn’t. Liam was in his feelings because he was used to dealing with females who were hot and ready and Taleah was a good girl and a virgin btw, so she wasn’t going for that smash or dash shxt Liam was used to. An entire week goes by and Liam hasn't reached out to Taleah. Liam was too busy being a playboy instead trying to get to know Taleah.
*Good girl falls in love with bad boy trope, * First book in Seven Minutes in Heaven series
Fate brings Liam and Taleah back again and Liam can’t stay away from Taleah this time around. Liam tries to stir his heart away from falling in love with Taleah. At times it seemed as though Taleah was a bit immature and gullible. The ending of this book had me mad at the way Taleah reacted to Liam. I hope in Book 2, this couple is able to reconcile. Overall good read.
Four years later and baby Liam played no games with getting his girl back. Liam had it all planned out to beg Leah to come back home and for good. His love for her had him saving her daddy. But he stayed true to who he was and kept his worlds separate to insure his girl was safe and taken care of in all the ways. Liam was Going to do everything to make sure Leah knew what she meant to him and that he only let her go to grow and go to school. Chill had his work cut out for him baby because his baby momma just knew. It was fucked up the way he went about trying to get Kelsey to marry him. No relationship is without its ups and downs. But Kelsey handled her self well and put lil baby momma in her place real fast. I’m glad chill was not on no bull and let Kelsey set the tone and was behind her. Kelsey and Leah balanced each other out as cousins and I’m so glad Kelsey knew Leah better than she knew herself at times because that alone saved Leah’s life. Poor Leah went from one horrible situation to and even more disturbing situation. But she knew that Liam was coming for her and was gonna make everything right and she knew that before it even got to that point. That’s a different kind of trust and a different kind of faith.
Baby, the follow-up from Part 1 was crucial. The plot thickened in the best way, and I was all the way here for it. Liam made the ultimate sacrifice—what’s that saying? If you love something, let it go… and if it comes back, it’s real. That was him, all the way. His growth was undeniable. He elevated and came back for Taleah with real intention.
I was proud of Taleah for staying focused—she put her studies and future first, and that showed true maturity. Chill stepped up with Kelsey despite the bumps in the road. I truly thought Kelsey was gonna fold and let Nitra run her off, but I’m glad Chill made her feel secure and overfilled her with love. I hate a bitter baby mama—but Kelsey held her own and didn’t let it shake her.
Everyone grew. Everyone matured. Even through the chaos, it was growth all around. Liam’s street status overshadowed his heart, and that double standard? Too real—but that’s what made his growth and this story hit even harder.
William “Liam” Maxwell and Taleah Morgan.. along with Kyriq “Chill” Childress and Kelsey Morgan was a time.. lol.. crazy and funny.. in Book 2, after 4yrs of college, Taleah accomplished her goal and Liam is ready to stake his claim back, however she has a “friend” Christian that she’s thinking of entertaining even though it hasn’t been any sparks.. Liam has elevated and opened many “legal” businesses to show his growth, however old enemies suddenly pop back up, halting his progress.. meanwhile, Kelsey has also completed her 4yrs and her and Chill had still been going strong and his past comes to haunt him and throws a wrench in the wedding plans he had set out for him and Kelsey.. old enemies pop up that creates a little chaos in business.. however, after all the secrets are exposed and the truth comes out, both couples get the outcome they all wanted.. I loved Liam’s nurturing possessiveness for Taleah.. it was funny and sweet.. I enjoyed this series
This book was everything I expected and more. I wish that the first two chapter of the book wasn't what I had just read in the previous book but I'll take it. Taleah has graduated from college and is out with her family, friends, and her boyfriend Christian. Taleah cares for Christian but there's no spark there. It's just fine for Liam because whether they have spark or not he is determined to claim what is his and nothing is getting in the way but Sophia is determined to stick around. Chill and Kelsey are as strong as ever until a blast from the makes her appearance and shakes their foundation. This story was full of laugh out loud moments, steamy scenes, betrayal, scheming, revenge, shocking moments, surprises and more. It did not disappoint and I loved the ending. This series left me looking forward to my next read from this author. This is a series I will be recommending to all of my romance book loving friends.
Listen, OK?! Elle Kayson is THAT author. Every single book? Instant page-turner. She knows how to grab your attention and not let go. The way she develops her characters? Chileee, I was cussing folks out like I personally knew them. I had to put the book down a few times just to process the mess they were causing!
As a North Louisiana native, her references hit every single time. It’s like she’s writing for me, and I absolutely love it. Elle doesn’t miss — if her name is on the cover, just know it’s about to be a ride.
And THIS book right here? Whew. It gave me everything I needed in a sequel. Every loose end? Tied up beautifully. And let me just say… Liam did NOT come to play. That man spun the block and came back around like a hurricane. I was hollering!
10/10 would recommend. Can’t wait to see what she does next!
I really enjoy this authors books. But these characters were young, young! Like 17 and 19!!! Even though we were fast forwarded by 4 years this wasn't enough time for the true growth that these characters needed. But this is fiction......soooo.
Liam and Taleah meet at a party. They date. Break up. Four years go by, she went to college. When she comes home, they eventually get back together. Through their meeting Kelsey met Chill. Chill and Kelsey had their fair share of drama. Her dad was such a hypocrite! I was surprised by Sophia's demise. It was obvious that Chill's baby momma, Christian, Sophia and Taleah's dad were gonna be problems for the couples.
After the tragic breakup and end to Liam and her relationship. Four years later…. Taleah has graduated college. Heartbroken, but with a new friend. Kelsey & Chill have somehow managed to stay together as a couple. Liam has advanced in his career also. Old enemies link up for a major twist. I did not see it coming. Christian is a man I can’t stand, but there are so many like that. I’m glad how his storyline ended. Taleah gets kidnapped after her link-up to resolve things with Christian’s weak ass. Neko was working with Sophia!? !!!!!!!!!!!! Chill has lots of baby mama drama. He also gets shot. Kelsey saves him. Kelsey is pregnant. Eventually, Taleah too. One is married, the other is engaged. It was wrapped up for a happy ending. Because otherwise, I don't know if I could take it… Elle girl. I loved this one.

The continuation from book 1 was on point!! This book picks up right where the first book ends. It's filled with drama, suspense, revenge, and betrayal. This book was not predictable like book one. Baby!!!!! This book had me going!!! The DRAMA in this book will have you feeling some kinda of way. Elle Kayson, knows how to keep your attention and she will have you falling in love with her characters. Liam and Chill did not play!!! Kelsey, was my girl!! Taleah, well, she got on my nerves. She was sheltered and didn't have a clue about them streets. Overall, I really enjoyed this book, the plot, and the characters. You will not be disappointed.
I’ll start off by saying I’m grateful this book had more pages than the first one! I just enjoyed the storyline so much I didn’t want it to end. The excitement, the spice, the relatability was all 10/10. I’m a sucker for happy endings and I usually get them in the books I read but I almost thought we weren’t gonna make it! I scared my co-worker by gasping so damn loud at one point😂. I would definitely recommend this series and I can’t wait to read the rest Elle Kayson has to offer!
I was a little worried as I was getting closer to the ending of the book, praying it wouldn't be dragged out into a 5 book series. Elle did a wonderful job of wrapping it up and giving us everything we needed for the characters you grow to love and even surprised me places I thought I just KNEW what was gone happen. This is my first time reading her work but definitely not the last time.
Elle Kayson, great read. Oh how Liam, Taleah, Kelsey, and Chill went through many things and ended up on the winning hand. Taleah, ran into obstacles and realized what she thought was true wasn't. Liam grew into a great guy. Chill was met with many things he didn't expect to happen. This read was full of jealousy envy and greed. It ended up having a lot of love understanding and just truth finally coming out.🤗🤗🤗
4 years have passed with Taleah going off to school as planned and Liam planned to come and get what he deemed his. There is a lot of bumps in the road ahead with ex's, former rivals, side chicks, etc. That don't want to see them together. Then there is Kelsey and Chill with the baby mama drama. Makes for a very good read.
The way Elle Kayson had me eating up everyone of her books!!! I love the structure of each on of the stories, you not only get to see inside on couple but multiple! I haven’t read that before and I was here for it. This one though Liam and Chill have to be one of my faves!! And the twists in this story holy OMG I did not see that coming!
This was such a roller coaster ride to happiness. I loved the story development and the chaos the came within the relationships. I didn’t expect the situation with Taleah’s father until the last minute.
With all of Liam and Chill’s enemies, I was happy to see they meant their fate. I also loved the story line with Kelsey. S Chill. Great story ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It all started with a game and a kiss goodness they always say keep your enemies close frfr that neko was a mess I knew kels was right when she said she had a bad feeling about Christian lol that boy was not happy I thought Liam was going to get him but hey chill scared me so bad but kels gone ride period I'm glad Leah got herself together
I loved the characters! I'll never understand how men can Know a female is no good for them and still keep them around. When it comes to Christian you gotta watch out for the quiet ones. I loved kels through the whole book she was the only character that didn't piss me off lol
I’m so happy that Taleah & Liam’s relationship weathered the storm. They truly deserve one another and the love they have for each other is everything! Kels and Chill relationship with through some things but I was so happy they worked it out as well. This was a good read!
I'm such a sucker for a great love story.. Liam's and Taleah yessd I was here for them the entire book!! Chill and Kelsey had a rough patch but they worked through it.. I really enjoyed this book
Omg this was a beautiful love story...These couples went through it all but the pure love they had for each other overpower anything😉😉😉 Liam ,Taleah, Chill and Kelsey characters development was great!!! Really enjoyed it Great Job🙌🙌🙌
Ella Alyson is a great writer and this was book was great and I needed more I was happy that Taleah father finally got on board it wasn't about him it was about her happiness
Chile, Leah got on my nerves. She was too sheltered and naive but still my girl🙄 Kelsy was a rider…period! Liam was bae and Chill was a close second. I really enjoyed this series.
