A D&D adventure and The Walking Dead had a baby.

Oh wow this book literally has it all. The brooding hero, the unflappable rogue and the tough as nails but vulnerable female ranger on a quest to destroy the source of an undead horde.

The visceral, gory descriptions were really well done. You can almost smell the blood and offal as these heroes slice and dice their way across the land.

The emotional impact was also felt. Everyone has lost so much in this story. Sometimes the undead were also the least of the heroes' problems. The remaining living were often even more dangerous and unpredictable.

Amazing book, I look forward to reading more from this author!
