Until Daddy

Rate this book
Carissa’s learned her lesson. No matter how panty melting the chemistry, relationships don’t last. And it won’t be any different with Jamison Croft- even if just looking at him sends tingles to all the right places.

But he’s not an easy man to shake.

Jamison doesn’t give up easily when it comes to getting what he wants. And he WANTS Carissa. Not only is she intelligent, gorgeous, and generous- she feeds every desire the Daddy Dom in him craves.

She may have given them an expiration date, but he’s not backing down.

And when the outside world threatens to crash down around them, he’ll show her he won’t abandon her. She believed she’d never have anyone in her corner.

But that was Until Daddy.

We meet Clarissa and Jamison in Until You but both books are pretty much standalone. Clarissa has a certain kink and has never been able to find someone to really let go with. So when she meets Jamison for the first time and he seems to know exactly what she needs she has no idea how to feel. Clarissa ends up ghosting him until he finds her at their club.

Jamison has a lot on his plate when it comes to business and family. But there is something about Clarissa that he can't let go. So when she ghosts him it really bothers him. But when he gets Clarissa to give them a second chance he is in it with everything he has.

I really enjoyed this story. Yes, there is BDSM and a certain kink to it. But it doesn't take over the story. Jamison and Clarissa have a great story and the chemistry is off the charts. I will be reading so much more of Measha Stone.

Wow. What a wonderful, beautiful, sexy story. The connection between Carissa and Jamison was always there but it was hard for her to see it and then Jamison had his troubles with his father. This is a delightful book to read with an HEA, because love always win.

Carissa fears relationships and is self defeated in every one she attemps to get into. Jamison is a Daddy Dom and strongly attracted to Carissa. Jamison has a connection with Carissa is determind to win her over. Although Carissa is wary of getting attached to Jamison then him leaving her, she agrees to let him dominate her for a month, because he's hot and sexy and she thrives with his dominance. One month is all Jamison has to convince Carissa that he's there to stay! There is spanking for Carissa, Jaimison's little girl and some very hot sex. I was so happy when they finally got their HEA.

A woman so used to losing out in love and the man who needs to convince her to stay

There has been a new epilogue added and a gentle polish up of the story. I can't pinpoint anything specifically that has changed, since its over a year since I read the original version. What I do know is that I felt much more of a connection to both Carissa and Jamison this time around. I also was much more convinced about their feelings for one another, boy was I emotionally invested this time around.

Carissa doesn't believe in successful relationships, Jamison is determined to prove her wrong and asks for a month. The story felt like it took place over a longer time period than the one given, though it was still believable and 'workable'. There's is a Daddy Dom relationship, with Carissa cared for and looked after but not as a 'little' in the more common understanding of the word. She doesn't colour, play with toys or go on play dates. All their interactions are as adults, just with Jamison clearly in charge and Carissa happy to call him Daddy.

This is an excellent book to pop your 'age play cherry' with, as it doesn't contain scenes that would take you too far out of your comfort zone. Even the sexual scenes are more along the D/s lines with very little BDSM elements other than spanking. However the author still manages to make this feel both very steamy and kinky.

The side stories didn't feel so overwhelming this time, perhaps that's due to the reworking of the story or maybe it just goes to show that current mood is a big factor in how much one enjoys a book. Maybe it was more mindset than matter, who knows? I don't, but I do know this is a great read and I definitely recommend it!

I know this story has been kind of revamped so I don't know about how it was the first time around. But this story was really good.
When you don't expect love in your life, you always push it away if it shows up. That's what Carissa, an ER nurse, has done in the past...............until Jamison shows up. He's determined to break threw the wall she has built up and talks her into giving him a month. She agrees and it's game on. I loved the connection between them but they also both have their faults and there are issues they need to address in their lives and work through. I didn't like Jamison's dad at all. He cared nothing for his son except to make money. And Carissa, I wanted to just shake her a couple of times during the story. Can they make it work or will they walk away from the best thing that has ever happened to either of them? I loved the DD/lg aspect of the story and am hoping that the readers will see more of this couple in the future!!!

COMMITMENT ISSUES TIMES TWO

While this story picks up from Until You, it will read well as a stand-alone. The story will focus on Jamison Croft and Carrisa McAllister. Each of them has had less than happy childhoods with the messed up lives of their parents, making them both leery of commitment and happily ever after endings.

Carrisa is an emergency room nurse at the county hospital, and also works at a women’s shelter as a volunteer. Her childhood involved seeing her parents use each other, and she was a pawn in their game. He father finally abandons them, and her mother goes from boyfriend to boyfriend. Carrisa worked to put herself through school, hold down a job, and has her own apartment. Her romantic life isn’t much better at finding reliable boyfriends or even doms. The only thing she can count on is her friends, Jade and Garrick.

Jamison Croft was raised in wealth and no love after his mother left. He went to college and got his MBA and then along with Garrick they started working real estate business deals. His father, Barron, wanted him to come to work for him, eventually taking over Croft Enterprise, but that isn’t what he wants. Buying into multiple businesses as a partner has made him wealthy in his own right. One of the businesses is a BDSM club called Dark Lace, and that is where he will meet Carrisa.

The plot will have Carrisa and Jamison meeting at a Mistletoe Party at Dark Lace. He will take her into the nursery and give her a spanking and then an intense organism. While he will get her number, she refuses to answer his calls or text. She has no faith in relationships, and from experience, especially ones that start in a club setting. Jamison will convince her to give them one month to see where this is going, and then he hopes to work beyond that at a relationship with her.

“What she wanted was something more. Something deeper. Someone who would take care of her and meet the darker needs within her, but not because he had to, because he wanted to. She wanted a companion and a lover.”

As Jamison and Carrisa start seeing each other, in the back of her mind, she sees the clock winding down and that he will tire of her and leave. But he surprises her with his patience and tenacity. He isn’t afraid to discipline her and hold her accountable, just like a good Daddy should.

“Her mind calmed. She’d messed up, but he wasn’t storming out, he wasn’t giving in.”

The story will take on the conflict between Jamison and Barron over a business deal that will displace several businesses, but the biggest issue will be the woman’s shelter. All Barron cares about is his legacy, leaving the Croft name on a building. What about his own son as a legacy? Arrogance, pride, doubt, fear, dominance, submission, and mild age play are all part of this story.
Also, that money doesn’t make or break a family; it is the people and selfishness that hurt others.
Can Jamison and Carrisa find happiness or will fear to ruin a chance at having a future? There is erotic chemistry between Jamison and Carrisa with multiple spanking and explicit sex scenes with a Daddy Dom/little girl relationship.

“She’d thought she was protecting her heart and instead she broken it.”

Carissa McAllister is a nurse in the emergency department and and she also frequents the local BDSM club, Dark Lace.

Jamison Croft is a part owner at Dark Lace and he also works for his father and is partners with Garrick in his own business.

Carissa does not believe in relationships but agrees to give Jamison one month to try and convince her otherwise.

Yet when business gets mixed up with pleasure will they survive?

I thought this book was ok and there were parts I enjoyed and others I didn't as much.

I liked Carissa and as the book went on I did like her more and more with how she lived her life and what was important to her. She was reluctant to get involved in relationships but at the same time she was willing to give Jamison a chance.

I thought Jamison was a good guy but I really didn't like the punishments that he gave Carissa while in the BDSM relationship. I just thought that Carissa opened up enough to give him a chance and then he went in full steam where as she was still unsure and that started putting me off.

Jamison's dad, Barrons was definitely money driven and did not care who got in his way. I liked what Jamison did to keep everything safe as it should be.

I was mad at the end at Jamison for his decision as Carissa was trying and I thought he expected too much from her in a short period of time. Then the author made things right again.

I do enjoy BDSM books but this one just did not interest me as much as others have.

I enjoyed this story by Ms Stone which focuses on Clarissa and Jamison's relationship.
It was emotional while offering enough hope for a happy ever after.

Clarissa McAllister does not believe or have faith in long term relationships. She only
has to look at her parents to realise that staying single is her best option. That is, until
she meets Jamison Croft at the Mistletoe Madness party at Dark Lace.Clarissa agreed
to scene with Jamison and she felt like she was at home in his arms. But reality sunk in
and she had to get away.Clarissa earns her first punishment for ignoring all of his attempts
to contact her.Clarissa has a soft childlike nature that brings out the daddy Dom in
Jamison. He loves nothing more than spending time in the nursery with her. There is trouble
in paradise when Jamison's father has plans to close down the refuge Clariia volunteers .
Clarissa pushes Jamison's boundaries and gives him a run for his money.

Clarissa' vulnerability was heartbreaking at times but her journey to overcome her fears were
heartwarming. It was good to see a softer side of Jamison as he remained in control most of
time but then the doubts would creep in.I loved the dynamics between Clarissa and Jamison.
Their relationship was based on their own life experiences. This book includes spanking and
erotic sex scenes.

I received an ARC from author for an honest review. I have read nearly all of this author's books and have truly enjoyed all of them.
Until Daddy follows the blossoming DD/lg relationship of Jamison & Carissa. Due to Carissa's family history (sad but not physically abusive) she doesn't believe any 'love' relationship lasts. Therefore she agrees to a 30 day agreement of DD/lg with Jamison. He accepts because he genuinely wants to be with her & plans in 30 days to convince her they need to remain together indefinitely.
Their relationship progresses, she tests his DD commitment several times & he firmly but calmly enacts punishments & rewards to demonstrate he takes his DD role in her life seriously & lovingly.
In addition, Jamison's father is causing ever increasing tension which is negatively affecting Jamison & Carissa's path to love while Garrett & Jade try to help.
Jamison & Carissa soon realize they love each other but different mental constraints prevent them from openly declaring their true feelings. This, of course, leads to a meltdown that breaks up & separates our H/h.

***POSSIBLE SPOILER***
In conclusion, I loved how the H/h separation was resolved: it was touching, loving, gentle, honest and for me, VERY satisfying. I do so enjoy this author's books :0)

In Until Daddy, Measha Stone shifts gears from her most recent work and gives us a story of a commitment phobic nurse, Carissa, and Jamison, a wealthy real estate developer and club owner. As might be clear from the title, there is light age play here, but even if that's not your kink, you're still likely to enjoy this story. Carissa is convinced that relationships that start in BDSM clubs don't last because partners quickly become bored. Jamison is actively looking for a special woman who will give him her submission and let him take care of her. Aside from her commitment issues, they seem perfectly suited and Jamison convinces her to try a relationship for a month, but the end date does not work well for either of them.

I really liked this story because of the characters and the way Stone developed the story. Carissa's reluctance, given her past, is completely believable, and Jamison's own baggage is also significant. When push comes to shove, things seem to fall apart, but both take steps to come back together, making this a wonderful story. The kink is fun, the sex is great, what more could a reader ask?

Pretty much any word that Measha Stone puts down on paper is a good one. That means I'm always going to read her books, at least once, and probably many more times.

Carissa is a commitment-phobe. She knows that kink relationships don't work, so she doesn't want one. She just wants someone to play with. Jamison has been watching her and he wants a relationship with her. In order to get her to be in that relationship, he offers her a trial period of 1 month. That's something that she thinks that she could manage. He's planning on making her see that it can work longer, while she just wants to protect herself and her heart.

I think that Carissa and Jamison are great characters and that they have a great relationship, at least most of the time. They are both damaged which makes them strong and weak. But, a good relationship can compensate for those things. It's just hard for them to deal with those things sometimes.

Hot, imperfect, and captivating. This author has always been one of my favorites, but the two books in this series have taken her writing to a different level with the emotions, the realistic portrayal of her characters, and the journeys they take to moving past the obstacles and circumstances they find themselves in. I found myself alternating between aching for the characters’ pain and wanting to yell at them to see what’s right in front of them for the taking. Get lost in the pages of this book, knowing you will enjoy every minute as this couple discovers that their limit questionnaires are a perfect fit. Yes, Daddy, I’m your Good. Girl until I’m not...

Until Daddy is the second book in the Dark Lace series by Measha Stone, an author I enjoy very much. I’m always entertained by her stories, usually starting and finishing them in one day.

Her writing style is relaxed and very realistic. Her books are always a fun read, her world building well done. When I read dialogue, it feels right, no matter if the speaker is male or female. In other words, Ms. Stone is a good and imaginative writer who always delivers to her audience.

This is the story of Jamison and Carissa and their struggle to get beyond their painful pasts to find their way to each other. It’s a bit of a bumpy road but such an entertaining one! I enjoyed every page of this book and if it’s your genre, so will you.

This is not your average age play book, there are no DD/lg stereotypical activities but it is a Daddy Dom book. Carissa and Jamison’s relationship was an uphill battle for both of them but for different reasons. Carissa was her own worst enemy and constantly told herself that relationships never worked and Jamison believed that a relationship must be possible even if he had no role models. Their parents had a really negative effect on both Carissa and Jamison but fortunately Jade and Garrick, whom we met in Unzoned were very helpful. This is a truly HEA book that leaves the reader very content.

Until Daddy is the second book in the Dark Lace series, and while events happen concurrently with the first book, it reads well as a stand alone. Carissa and Jamison meet during a Christmas party and scene, and while Jamison thinks that everything went well and he felt a connection, Carissa runs scared. When he finally convinces her to give them a chance, it’s with an end date in mind. At the end of the month, will Carissa realize they’re perfect for each other, or will all of her fears about relationships come true?

I really enjoyed this book and loved the dynamic between Carissa and Jamison! I loved how well they worked together in a relationship, loved the power exchange, loved the tiny bit of age play they participated in, and even loved their drama. I always find it fascinating when it’s the lead female character that’s scared of commitment. Carissa has a poor past with her parents and ex’s to give her much hope for the future with a man. But that doesn’t stop her from craving more, as well as having a generous heart and she’s one that’s passionate about the things and people she cares about. Jamison, at first, seemed pretty simple. Daddy Dom, caring and stern, successful in his businesses... but the more time we spent with him, I loved that he had layers of past hurts that you just couldn’t tell at first. His relationship with his father and mother, how he does business, added a deepness to his character that I really loved. Their connection was true and passionate, I loved that they helped each other and build each other up, and they both made mistakes. This was a great follow up to the first book in the series and have loved my time spent with these characters!

Until Daddy by Measha Stone is a contemporary romance with a bdsm/DD/lg theme. Carissa McAllister has some major commitment issues and her interests from men make it seem even harder for her to find something that lasts. Is it that guys just want to have fun for a short time or does she push them away? Jamison Croft is not one to give up easily and Carissa is more than just a challenge to him, but he knows he will have to convince her of that.

This story continues after the novella, Until You with Carissa's friends Jade and Garrick but can be read as a standalone. Until Daddy adds complexity in the relationship between Jamison and his father Barron and how it effects Clarissa's volunteering at women's shelter. While the focus is on Jamison and Clarissa's developing relationship and finding a way to build something in the face of Clarissa's doubts, the plot is driven by Barron's actions, past and present. At the end I would have liked some addition resolution about Jamison's mother, possibly an epilogue, since this was a means for Jamison and Clarissa to connect.

Overall I enjoyed Until Daddy by Measha Stone and particularly if you are looking for a DD/lg book this one keeps to that relationship. There was a nice balance of life issues, relationships, and plenty of passion and fun.

“Delicious & devoted Daddy”

I received an Advance Reader Copy for UNTIL DADDY written by Measha Stone and voluntarily reviewed this book. I was drawn into this book from the beginning, when the mysterious and out-of-her-league co-owner of Dark Lace, a kink club Carissa frequents, comes up to her and proceeds to command her time. And what she got was the perfect moment, one she didn’t even have to ask for. Only Carissa decides that it was a one-time deal, one she has come to expect from all men and relationships with them, anyways, so this last encounter may well be nipped in the bud right now. But Jamison Croft knows that they connected, and he can’t seem to forget her or stop thinking of her. He confronts her at the next opportunity, as she’s been busy avoiding him, and they come to a tentative agreement. But when his father’s new investment interests start to infringe on his new and delicate relationship with Carissa as well as her life and work, he has to make some tough choices and perhaps rethink the choices others in his past must have made as well. A well-written story which was delicious and commanding from beginning to end. The age-play was not extreme to me, just the right amount and hot (!), but Jamison’s dominant character was the perfect foil to Carissa-girl’s impulsiveness, stubborness, and candidness.

Fight For Your Love

The inimitable Measha Stone has done it again with this amazing, perfect, BDSM must read. Carissa McAllister an ER nurse meets Jameson Croft at his part owned BDSM club Dark Lace, whilst supporting Jade her BF at her first visit of the club. Carissa just wanted someone to take care of her darker needs without commitment. Jameson is pure dominance and The Nursery is his preferred play area and Carissa’s too. Will their one month deal with an expiration date be all she needs? Did she want to be his Carissa-Girl? For Carissa BDSM couples don’t last in the Real World! This is her excuse for being aloof and not engaging in their relationship! She craves what Jameson can give her with his stern hand! But continues to push him with her reluctance and resistance to commit! All she thinks about is the expiration date! But one kiss was all it took! Yes Daddy! Will Jameson always give her what she needs, her safety? Will her rebelliousness push Jameson too far? Can Jameson stand up to his cold, mercenary father? Will Jameson find out why his mother left him alone as a child with his unforgiving father? Is the Waiting Game over? You will just have to read this amazing read to find out!
This is my voluntary and honest review of a copy of this book.

Carissa came to the Dark Lace with her friend Jade to introduce her to a BDSM club. She hasn’t been able to find a guy that stirs her interest and is willing to go with what her limits are. In walks Jamison. There is NO WAY this guy is going to be interested in Carissa or what he likes. Jamison sees something in her, a little girl lost.

Oh man did Jamison have his work cut out for him. Carissa is so stubborn and sometimes unmoving in her thoughts. She more than once just loses it and forgets what he told her about being calm. That girl ends up with a sore bottom a lot. Carissa does realize things are different with him but at times, her thoughts come too late to stop the train. I cried when things started to fall apart. At first I thought it was just Jamison pushing but then well I don’t want to give much away. His father is a piece of work. That man doesn’t know what love is. UGH! I wish Jamison would have punched him but then I guess that would be wrong. Maybe.

I read this before realizing there was a book before it. So I had to get that. Now I need to find out what I missed.

The story is a page turner from page one! It is filled with suspense, romance, exciting sex scenes, fast paced, caring and aspects of BDSM. We have a Dominant, Alpha Daddy Dom, Jamison looking for his forever girl and a vibrant girl, Carissa who doesn’t believe in forever trying to discover if, they can have a forever. Sounds confusing? Nah - just a fun, filled, enjoyable story! Measha Stone is a talented author, we are shown how the characters learn more about themselves, each other, their relationship, and learn to trust each other and their choices. They realize that together they grow stronger and can realize a brighter future. We, the reader, realize hope is good and can be achieved.
I don't read a lot of Daddy Dom books but for me, this one had a perfect balance of age play and adulthood. The chemistry between them is sizzling and his care of her is beautiful. This book is a stand alone but it was enjoyable to read more about Jade and Garrett from “Until You” and that book is worth reading, too! Thank you Measha Stone for another wonderful story!!!

Although this story follows a well known path: rich guy meets poor girl at his BDSM club, both with the same kink, both with the same hang-ups, but with different takes on relationships, Ms Stone padded this one with some goodies.
The characters are well developed and believable. We have one Daddy Dom looking for his forever-girl and one girl who is convinced forever is not for her. Add some good friends in both of their lives and parents you would love to strangle. The following struggles and misunderstandings are inevitable.
You know where the story will end but the way there is enjoyably paved with a Daddy who is strict but not over the top and a girl who just cannot keep her mouth in check or trust that her decisions might be understandable to him.
The developing dynamic between those two makes for a sizzling, enjoyable read.
The open questions at the end are an enticement to read more of this series.

Jade and Carissa went to a pre-Christmas event at Dark Lace, a local BDSM club owned by Garrick, Jamison and Damien. Jade was going to the bar, after Jamison zeroed in on Carrisa. She was flattered by his attention, but always thought that relationships weren't for her after growing up in a broken home with broken parents, but they did go to the age-play area as this was Carissa's kink. Jamison had an insta-lust reaction to Carissa, but after a sound spanking session, could not get her by phone or text. Jamison understood about inadequate parents as he and his father had a less than cordial relationship, but was hoping for a connection to Carissa. He knew Carissa was coming to the club as she was on the monitors which were viewed by security and the owners...but you will need to read this spicy story to see if an emergency room nurse can find happiness in a kink-based relationship. I voluntarily read this book through an Advanced Reader Copy.

Carissa helped her friend Jade find happiness with Garrick in Undone Daddy. Until Daddy is Carissa and Jamison's age play story. Carissa doesn't believe kink relationships can last. She is being pursued by Daddy Dom Jamison, who is hopeful in his belief that his good girl will want something long term. I liked Carissa as a secondary character in Undone Daddy. She was pretty independent and had a bit more experience as a submissive than Jade. Carissa was complex-worked hard as a nurse, volunteered at a refuge, committed, compassionate, and annoyingly bratty. I liked Jamison, who had a lot of integrity. I struggled with their dynamic; sometimes it seemed such hard work for a new couple, but they get there in the end.

Until Daddy is the second book in Measha Stone's Club Dark Lace series. It takes place at the same time as Unzoned and can be just as easily enjoyed as a stand alone. The story is (obviously) a DD/lg romance and it follows the romance between Jamison and Carissa. Once again, Ms. Stone has created characters that are complex and believable. She has also created a romance that is full of ups and downs, passion and conflicts, fear and trust, and a HEA that will melt your heart. The story does have elements of a bratty little girl and her no-nonsense Daddy that both heated my blood and made me giggle. There are a lot of sexy scenes in this one, but there are also secrets, broken hearts, mistrust, caution, and determination. Everything about this one will keep you glued to the pages from beginning to end.

Carissa wants a good relationship that involves spanking and age-play, but can never find it because of her deep-seated fear of relationships, and belief that they never work. Jamison is determined to prove her wrong, and the story of how their relationship develops – with Jamison giving her what she needs in the way of spanking and mild age play (really just in the way she addresses him) – is interesting and fast moving. There are some serious problems along the way involving friends from the previous book in the series, Until You, as well as the father of Jamison, and it makes the book more interesting as it comes toward a satisfactory conclusion. Although part of a series, it can certainly be read as a stand-alone.

Not for me

I really liked the first book in this series, and I read another "Daddy" story from this author that wasn't too bad, so I took a chance on this one. Unfortunately, it reminded me of why I don't usually like Daddy Dom stories. The whole brat thing just comes across to me as juvenile and immature and I find myself getting very impatient with the heroine's actions. To compound my frustration, this book has some kind of formatting issue that throws in a blank page every so often, causing "blips" in the flow of the story. This happened at least 10-15 times in this one. Just not my cup of tea over all.

two people, strong, confident, Carissa a nurse, friend of Jade Jamieson, entrepreneur, partner in business, and friend of Garrick, the chemistry is electric, but after so many disappointments in life trust and happy ever after is never going to happen Carissa will take the here and now with her Daddy Jamieson, but Jamieson needs to let his little girl know he wants her forever no expiration date. Everything I wanted tied up nearly tied up, another must read from Measha Stone showed strength and weakness in ways we don't always recognize, great read for me can't wait for more. Holy Hot Daddy!

What an amazing story! Jamison and Carissa met at his club, and he was instantly enamored with her and knew she was the woman for him. But that would take quite a bit of convincing for Carissa as she doesn’t believe any relationship can last. Jamison decides to prove to her that they can last. But with so many obstacles in their way, how can it?! I loved the Daddy Dom aspect of this story and felt these two characters were made for each other. If you want to know, then go ahead and read this fantastic book!

With characters introduced in Unzoned, this steamy novel follows the characters of Carissa and Jamison. Carissa is looking for a Daddy (light age-play) but is under the impression that a relationship that starts in kink can never last. Lucky for her, Jamison has decided to prove her wrong. While this story can be read as a stand alone, I do recommend reading Unzoned first just to get a better feel for the couple and their friends.
